    Calvino Rabeni: Yes
Calvino Rabeni: Ripple in still water
Calvino Rabeni: There are some pretty good GD lyrics web sites looking at the poetic and spiritual themes of Hunters lyrics
    Eos Amaterasu: Hi Paradise!
Calvino Rabeni: Hi, Para, I saved you that seat :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles .. hi eos .. cal :) thanks !

Eos Amaterasu: the 90 secs is a fountain of being
Eos Amaterasu: that was not made by our hands

Eos Amaterasu: ripples from the song "ripple", Paradise
    Paradise Tennant: ahh
    Eos Amaterasu: http://www.dead.net/song/ripple

Eos Amaterasu: being grateful for the fountain
Eos Amaterasu: the one in sl
Eos Amaterasu: the one in rl
Eos Amaterasu: the one in any l
    Paradise Tennant: :)

Eos Amaterasu: How's this for the next 90 secs: 90 secs not made by the hand of man
    Eos Amaterasu: (or woman)
    Paradise Tennant: :) lol
    Paradise Tennant: nods good point

    --BELL--

Calvino Rabeni: OK - It is not I, that makes the flow, of the fountain that is I
Eos Amaterasu: you flowing, being flowing
    Paradise Tennant: yes
    Eos Amaterasu: identity joke:
Eos Amaterasu: you can't step into the same river once
    Paradise Tennant: :)
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Calvino Rabeni: I was gone, Man
    Paradise Tennant: :)
Eos Amaterasu: Fritz Perls: "do not push the river, it flows by itself"

Calvino Rabeni: The river flowed down into the Gone World
Paradise Tennant: where is what is the gone world
Calvino Rabeni: And then ...I heard this little bell go 'ting". And it was a bit of a shock
Calvino Rabeni: It is a 1950's metaphor from the beat generation I think
Eos Amaterasu: ah yes, that's right
Calvino Rabeni: Every age had it's being present practices and metaphors

Eos Amaterasu: I'm looking forward to something like that in Malta
    Eos Amaterasu: meeting that world
Eos Amaterasu: How's your world, Paradise?
Paradise Tennant: yes malta will be a new kind of world
Paradise Tennant: for me at least

Paradise Tennant: my world is really cold right now .. but centred :) been working on a few buddhist practises daily .. amazing how it give balance
    Calvino Rabeni: yes isn't it
    Paradise Tennant: :)
Eos Amaterasu: Who are you in that kind of space?
Calvino Rabeni: I'm curious whether I'll ever hear a really great "elevator pitch" for practices like that
Eos Amaterasu: a 9 secs pitch?
    Paradise Tennant: lol
    Paradise Tennant: ok
    Paradise Tennant: my elevator pitch?
Calvino Rabeni: Or a 30 second pitch - whatever is comfortable - for the value of those practices
Eos Amaterasu: You're on the spot, Paradise! :-)

Paradise Tennant: it gives your spirit space to be spirit :)

    Eos Amaterasu: Very good!

Paradise Tennant: and you expand from the edginess of finite to something softer .. without boundaries..

Calvino Rabeni: What if the best ad agencies tackled it - and they had nothing to sell, to complicate the message :)
Paradise Tennant: sorry .. dog is making a big racket he wants more cheese please!
Eos Amaterasu: really nice, "the edginess of finite" :-)
Eos Amaterasu: Ads do sell states of mind
    Calvino Rabeni: yeah, alack
Calvino Rabeni: how about an ad for attention...
Calvino Rabeni: once they have it...
Calvino Rabeni: suggesting what to do with it
Calvino Rabeni: One such campaign, a little like that is "talk - the anti-drug" or some such
Eos Amaterasu: Your very own 90 seconds - free!
Calvino Rabeni: take time to talk to your children with good attention
Paradise Tennant: hmm often think the more you push against something ..the stronger you make it

    --BELL--

Calvino Rabeni: What if, you could "drop" all manner of paradoxes? ... resist nothing, open everything
Calvino Rabeni: Would that "unwind" what you were referring to, Paradise?
    Paradise Tennant: hm the edginess?
    Calvino Rabeni: yes including that
Paradise Tennant: I think that would make you experience what you are .. underneath
Paradise Tennant: I find it easier to not resist .. with practise .. focus alot on surrendering to the moment
    Paradise Tennant: whatever it is
    Calvino Rabeni: understand yes
Paradise Tennant: that feeling of open everything .. sort of a biproduct of being aware
Paradise Tennant: do you find so ?

Eos Amaterasu: could be a painful experience.... you could be an ouch-cube
Calvino Rabeni: Calvino Rabeni wonders, about the "underneath" place, ?
Calvino Rabeni: Para, I find it like that
Calvino Rabeni: Not ouchy, Eos, to me
Paradise Tennant: no because there you are so stretched out .. there is no container .. reference for pain
    Paradise Tennant: it is peace
Calvino Rabeni: I can understand that
    Paradise Tennant: acceptance
Paradise Tennant: a deep calm abiding
Eos Amaterasu: yet still in that people are unhappy, conflicted, conflicting
Calvino Rabeni: and believe it can be relied on
    Paradise Tennant: no ..
Paradise Tennant: not the space I am talking about
Calvino Rabeni: but, there are many people who say, they are afraid to stop and look "inside"
Paradise Tennant: conscious everyday ..moments .. can be full of pain
Paradise Tennant: but if you let go ..
Paradise Tennant: you let go of the pain too
Calvino Rabeni: Pain or suffering, seem distlnctly different experiences
Paradise Tennant: hmm almost don't think it is looking inside ..more like just really seeing the outside .. the big .. what we are all a part of
Calvino Rabeni: I think Eos knows this
Paradise Tennant: suffering pain .. provides an enormous benefit
Calvino Rabeni: agree Para, but they call it "inside" for some funny reason
Paradise Tennant: it makes you stop .. the preoccupation
Paradise Tennant: it makes you pay attention
    Eos Amaterasu: doesn't deny anything....
Paradise Tennant: without pain or suffering .. it would be a non starter I think :)
    Calvino Rabeni: hows that Paradise?
Paradise Tennant: if we did not come face to face with loss .. the impernance of the world .. there would be no reason to question the superficial
Paradise Tennant: suffering pain .. is the door way

    --BELL--

Paradise Tennant: takes you out into the yard :)
Paradise Tennant: such a nice yard really :)
    Eos Amaterasu: into the pond
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Eos Amaterasu: fish as unoriginated ripple in the water of being
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Calvino Rabeni: Someone teased me about quotes, but it can be an easy way to make a point
    Paradise Tennant: loves quotes
Calvino Rabeni: I remember early days of trying to unwind these things
Eos Amaterasu: the fish feels the movements of its body
Calvino Rabeni: Improvement makes straight roads; but the crooked roads without improvements are roads of genius. ~ William Blake
Eos Amaterasu: schools of fish affect the ocean as much as tides and winds
    Eos Amaterasu: who's rippling who?
Paradise Tennant: the sound of one fin flapping ?
    Paradise Tennant: :)
    Eos Amaterasu: heh heh
    Eos Amaterasu: very finny
Paradise Tennant: blake is always wonderful
    Eos Amaterasu: amazing person
    Paradise Tennant: lol
Calvino Rabeni: Every ages sees itself as unique - like what is happening culturally has never happened before, and yet
Calvino Rabeni: the same keeps happening over and over
    Paradise Tennant: :)
Calvino Rabeni: This being on the theme of "improving"... ever since Lao Tzu
Calvino Rabeni: They deserve respect for making the effort
    Paradise Tennant: :)
Calvino Rabeni: But the sense you are talking about Paradise seems to be outside the commonplace
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: it is really common .. everyone has it .. the ability to perceive the world as a connected whole ..
Calvino Rabeni: the piece about not resisting "what is"
Paradise Tennant: yes being what is
Calvino Rabeni: And the consequential experience of initial complexity, unwinding into something rather different
Calvino Rabeni: Going through the door into the garden
Calvino Rabeni: A buddhist friend calls it the "wonderland" or something like that
    Eos Amaterasu: On the WELL?
Paradise Tennant: becoming still .. and realizng we are part of the garden
    Eos Amaterasu: Lord Buckley:
The flowers, the gorgeous, mystic multi-colored flowers are not the flowers of life, but people, yes people are the true flowers of life, and it has been a most precious pleasure to have temporarily strolled in your garden

Calvino Rabeni: Maybe there's a well-like thing ... not sure your meaning
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Calvino Rabeni: Calvino Rabeni will drink to that . At the well.
Eos Amaterasu: the WELL (Whole Earth 'Lectronic Link) has long had a Buddhist forum called "wonderland"
Calvino Rabeni: I thought that was the one you meant
Calvino Rabeni: Never followed it though

    --BELL--

Calvino Rabeni: Although I've been reading a bit about that piece of history
Eos Amaterasu: I must leave our wonderful transcontinental meeting here in the garden of being...
Paradise Tennant: thank you both .. lovely conversation .. good nite eos
Calvino Rabeni: I'd "high five" if it were possible :)
    Calvino Rabeni: Take care, Eos
    Paradise Tennant: high five !s
Eos Amaterasu: 'night Calvino and paradise!
    Eos Amaterasu: high 5!
Paradise Tennant: I should go to .. :) thanks Cal .. graat talking to you :)
    Calvino Rabeni: Likewise Paradise :)
