Mickorod Renard: i had hair once

Wol Euler: good question, bert, let me think.

    Bertram Jacobus: ty wol

Mickorod Renard: someone didnt like it

    Agatha Macbeth: Aww

Wol Euler: strange is disturbing, whereas odd is not necessarily so (I'd say)

arabella Ella: well, Wol has excellent taste

    Bertram Jacobus: ah ! ty ! :-)

Agatha Macbeth: It ain't necessarily so....

Wol Euler: well, offer a definition

Bertram Jacobus: i felt often, that strange was not the right word, but did not know why. now i know ... :-)

Wol Euler: ah, duh, I see. sorry.

    Wol Euler is slow tonight

Tarmel Udimo: depending on the shade of taste:)

    Agatha Macbeth: :)

arabella Ella: strange could also be unusual and odd could be eccentric

Bertram Jacobus: ty ara too :-)

    arabella Ella: :)

    Wol Euler: mmhmm

Bertram Jacobus: usual topics ... which are they, for example ? what do have in mind ?

Mickorod Renard: does anyone know much about hinduism?

    Agatha Macbeth: Hindus?

    Mickorod Renard: yes

    arabella Ella: not really

Agatha Macbeth: Most of the Indians I know are Sikhs, so sadly not

    Mickorod Renard: nor me

Mickorod Renard: I often think its interesting,,and did like the hai chrishna stuff once

Agatha Macbeth: I still can't get used to not seeing Ara wearing red :)

Mickorod Renard: looks like the distractions have gone

Mickorod Renard: I will have lots of editing to do

Agatha Macbeth: Somebody wake Zon up

    arabella Ella: he he

arabella Ella: i like to send my SL clothes to the cleaners sometimes Agatha

    Agatha Macbeth: Ah :)

arabella Ella: and you too have quite a few cool changes

    Agatha Macbeth: You noticed!

Mickorod Renard: as I was nearly starting...ages ago,,the idea of dropping,,its so important I feel

arabella Ella: i liked you red outfit the other day :)

arabella Ella: of course i did

Agatha Macbeth: Which one was that?

    Agatha Macbeth: I lose track

arabella Ella: the red sexy one ... did Wol take you shopping

    Agatha Macbeth: WB Zon

Agatha Macbeth: Say where did the hoe and her pimp go?

Mickorod Renard: anywhere is ok with me

Agatha Macbeth: Well I do know it's one of the world's oldest religions

Stan Dasmijn: how do they worship?

Mickorod Renard: I think cows are sacred

    Mickorod Renard: holy cow

Agatha Macbeth: Just going to say that Mick :)

Stan Dasmijn: is meditation how they worship?

Agatha Macbeth: Rivers are sacred too I think

Agatha Macbeth: Not sure if they do mediate?

    Agatha Macbeth: Meditate

arabella Ella: they have a whole pantheon of Gods

    Agatha Macbeth: even

Mickorod Renard: yes, they bathe periodically in sacred rivers

arabella Ella: one is in the form of an Elephant ... Ganesha

    Agatha Macbeth: I know Kali

Mickorod Renard: and is shiva another?

    Agatha Macbeth: Yes

    Agatha Macbeth: And...Indra

arabella Ella: India is like Ancient Greece for Asia

    Zon Quar: i love hinduism

Calvino Rabeni: Hindus worship in thousands of ways and meditate in thousands of ways

Agatha Macbeth: is trying hard to remember the Rig Veda

Zon Quar: yes its soooo good

arabella Ella: their rituals are fantastic too ... very elaborate

Agatha Macbeth: I always mix it up with the Mahabharata

Calvino Rabeni: And it is not the same thing to meditate as to worship

Zon Quar: and teh philosphy of vedas..aaaaaah

Zon Quar: doesnt get any better than that

Calvino Rabeni: Vedas are ancient - back from when the "Word" was alive

    Zon Quar: cows r sacred

Agatha Macbeth: It can you a lot more than it looks like we can :)

Calvino Rabeni: In the sense of the bible statement "in the beginning was the word"

    Agatha Macbeth: tell

    Agatha Macbeth: No kidding :)

Calvino Rabeni: Wikipedia is the fastest way to get ideas of a subject for school

Zon Quar: stan ..want to get vedas in short ?

Agatha Macbeth: Was going to say try typing Hindu into Search for Places

Calvino Rabeni: Hindus have good comic books with the adventures of dieties :)

Mickorod Renard: I think, by the time I have edited this chat log there wont be much left

    Agatha Macbeth: :)))))))))))))))))

Calvino Rabeni: What will you censor Mick?

Agatha Macbeth: Such is the lot of a guardian Mick!

Zon Quar: my long underpants ?

Calvino Rabeni: They didn't give permission then?

Agatha Macbeth: My no underpants ;-)

Zon Quar: i want them deleted

Mickorod Renard: almost all that we didnt get an ok for there chat to be recorded

Mickorod Renard: ok,,all will go,,except anything we did in nice way

Calvino Rabeni: OK, anyone else want to say something "forbidden" as long as it will be edited out :)

    Calvino Rabeni: ?

    Zon Quar: hm

Agatha Macbeth: Well, I think I'll get back to building my new home

    Mickorod Renard: what u building?

    Mickorod Renard: in what style?

    Mickorod Renard: he he

Agatha Macbeth: Trying to construct a new house...slooow business

Mickorod Renard: will it be like a temple?

Agatha Macbeth: If you can't be good, be careful!

    arabella Ella loves philosophy

    Zon Quar: mm me too

Calvino Rabeni: Maybe Cal in California

    arabella Ella: :)

    Mickorod Renard: nice

Calvino Rabeni: West coast USA - still a 16 hour drive

    Zon Quar: 16 hours..wow

Calvino Rabeni: Too early in season to motorcycle

Mickorod Renard: thats a pity Cal

Calvino Rabeni: Yea, lots of open spaces in this part of the world

Zon Quar: easy to sleep while driving 16 hours

Calvino Rabeni: I'm pretty good at getting "in the zone" while driving

Calvino Rabeni: It got to be a groove after some practice

Mickorod Renard: is there a sort of route 66 that will take u there?

Calvino Rabeni: I kind of like it - it like a personal retreate in the car

    Zon Quar: isnt it dangerous

Mickorod Renard: yes, i know the feeling Cal

Zon Quar: i tend to sleepif too long drives

Calvino Rabeni: Dangerous? Car or motorcycle or meditating did you mean?

    Calvino Rabeni: I see

    Zon Quar: driving..driving..driving..

    Zon Quar: wide palces

Calvino Rabeni: It is a good time to do voice practice

    Zon Quar: hypnotiseing..

Calvino Rabeni: since no one can hear / be disturbed

arabella Ella: how do you do voice practice Cal?

Calvino Rabeni: and it helps be energized for driving

    arabella Ella: (scuse my ignorance)

    Zon Quar: singing..?

    Mickorod Renard: yikes

    Calvino Rabeni: singing, chanting, speaking

    Calvino Rabeni: toning

Zon Quar: born to be wiiild...

Mickorod Renard: hitchin or a runnin

Mickorod Renard: head out on the highway

Mickorod Renard: I am desperate to get my bikes out

Calvino Rabeni: You have several then :)

Mickorod Renard: wont be long,,its getting closer to spring

Zon Quar: remeber to wear long underpants Mick..

Mickorod Renard: got a few,,but 2 on road

    Mickorod Renard: yea,,thermals

Calvino Rabeni: They are like shoes - specialized

    Mickorod Renard: yes

Calvino Rabeni: need to have several types

Calvino Rabeni: urban scooter - mountain bike with big knobby tires - fast road machine with big engine

    arabella Ella: cool

Calvino Rabeni: The right "body" for different conditions

Mickorod Renard: but they do make me feel good in the head

Mickorod Renard: bikes for me are like a therapy

Calvino Rabeni: LIke having different avatars - if you could imaging avatars having very different physical capabilities

Calvino Rabeni: Yes I relate to that Mick

Mickorod Renard: I have often said that about women,,but then I get in trouble for saying it

    Zon Quar: lol

    Mickorod Renard: he he

Mickorod Renard: oops,,there i go again

Zon Quar: u can delete that

    Mickorod Renard: ok

Mickorod Renard: having choice is nice,,but can also complicate things

Zon Quar: life is full of complications

Bertram Jacobus: sry - i was not very aware today here ... but ty as ever for the chance to meet you all, have a good time and see you soon again ! +wave* ...

Mickorod Renard: like when I swap bike, i have to remember to ride diferent

    Mickorod Renard: bye Bert

arabella Ella: nite Bert good to see you here tonight

    Zon Quar: c u B

Calvino Rabeni: Yes, it takes awareness, you could have a hazard otherwise

    Bertram Jacobus: ty :-)

Calvino Rabeni: Also I do mountain bicycle on trails - that is once again similar but different to motorcycle on road

Mickorod Renard: this is in a way,,like dropping attachments

Mickorod Renard: to ways of riding

    Zon Quar: how ?

Calvino Rabeni: It is interesting because you learn to "drop" a complete set of physical perceptions and muscle habits, or adjust them

    Mickorod Renard: exactly

Zon Quar: u mean by using differetn bikes u dropp attachments to one bike ?

Mickorod Renard: each change should be a new experience

Mickorod Renard: yes Zon,,that was like what i was thinking

Zon Quar: does it apply to women too ?

    Mickorod Renard: he he

    Zon Quar: delete this

    Zon Quar: lol

Calvino Rabeni: Yes drop the muscular and embodiment aspects, which are an attachment

Mickorod Renard: well, we do get complacent as well

Mickorod Renard: somewhere is a balance

    Mickorod Renard: experience without preconceptions

    Mickorod Renard: is that posible?

Zon Quar: yup, if we do certan thing in a certain way always..we create a habit...and loose awareness

Calvino Rabeni: Yes, you learn to be flexible, to construct and drop habits more easily, and the habits are skills of perception and movement

Mickorod Renard: so perhaps its good to always look for the new experience?

Mickorod Renard: are skills attachments then?

Calvino Rabeni: No, but you have attachments to skills

Zon Quar: yes, if u get stuck to what u already can do

Calvino Rabeni: That make it difficult to "switch" or be flexible

Mickorod Renard: sounds a bit tricky

Mickorod Renard: this is where the space comes in,,from dropping

Mickorod Renard: but dropping is not a natural thing in ones every day life

Mickorod Renard: it almost has to become a habit to be of much use

Zon Quar: enjoy ur skills as long as tehy give u joy

Zon Quar: then drop if they become routine, and learn something new

Calvino Rabeni: Anything can be a way of practice - motorcycling is a good one in the way we've been talking about it

arabella Ella: you are reminding me of Pirzig's book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Mickorod Renard: thats the trick I guess,,enjoy,,but what u dont enjoy ask urself if its an attachment that can be dropped

Mickorod Renard: I must go home now

Mickorod Renard: but thankyou for the sensible chat,,at last

Zon Quar: if u really enjoy what u r doing..i think that is what the unverse expects u to do right now

    arabella Ella: bye Mick

    Zon Quar: me 2. late

    Zon Quar: bye all

Mickorod Renard: bye Ara, bye Zon, bye Cal
