    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Paradise
Paradise Tennant: hiya steve .. was going scoot .. off to bed but could not leave you sitting by your lonesome :)
Paradise Tennant: how are you :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: quiet times are nice, but your company is always appreciated
    stevenaia Michinaga: how are you
Paradise Tennant: very well thanks ..working rather hard at the moment but .. enjoying it very much .. i like what I do ..just would wish , it did not chew up so much of the day :)
stevenaia Michinaga: interesting, I have the same appreciation with "work"
Paradise Tennant: but we have been discussion the whole no time thing .. so that is just all delusion :)
stevenaia Michinaga: consuming yet always interesting
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I listened to some of the "no time" discussions quite a while ago
Paradise Tennant: such a deep .. idea
stevenaia Michinaga: was thinking about "time" as the note cards came passing by as I logged on
Paradise Tennant: i found it hard to understand at first
    Paradise Tennant: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: seeing the time workshops that I never get to
stevenaia Michinaga: is that where you talked about the topic, or at PaB
Paradise Tennant: at pab and in my rl buddhist class very lucky for me really I get alot out of those rl sessions too
stevenaia Michinaga: time, the mind, awareness, consciousness, all wonderful components of reality
stevenaia Michinaga: all perplexing when you attempt to define then
    stevenaia Michinaga: them
    Paradise Tennant: yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: oh, and "love"
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Paradise Tennant: smiles thinks maybe that is the easiest of the lot :)
stevenaia Michinaga: until you try to describe it to someone who has not loved
Paradise Tennant: do you really think there is anyone who has not loved
    Paradise Tennant: hard to imagine
stevenaia Michinaga: there is always the first true love of a certain type that define itself unlike any other
    --BELL--
    Paradise Tennant: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: sometimes you don;t even know until it your heart beaks... and a lifelong understanding is learned
Paradise Tennant: sigh .. hearts mend .. lovely thing about them :)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, if you let it
stevenaia Michinaga: there in lies the lesson
stevenaia Michinaga: that's not the right "lies" is it
Paradise Tennant: often romantic heartbreak presumes a possessiveness that sometimes I think is not real love .. real love is appreciation and respect
Paradise Tennant: it comes without any strings
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes, truly
    Paradise Tennant: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: the love that lets go
stevenaia Michinaga: the love that is the gift
Paradise Tennant: eric fromm wrote a great book "the art of loving" if everyone read it at least once a year ..we would live in a very different world :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erich_Fromm
Paradise Tennant: love as interpersonal creative capacity .. what a great phrase !
stevenaia Michinaga: a lovely topic to dream on
    Paradise Tennant: yes
    stevenaia Michinaga: and another mystery
    stevenaia Michinaga: dreams
Paradise Tennant: have you been dreaming lately ?]
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: hmmm, no not really.... thinking of my last dream, it was in Sanskrit, never dreamed in a language I did not understand, written text
Paradise Tennant: wow .....what was it about ?
stevenaia Michinaga: I was looking at a book, not reading but there was there was no sound from me that I remember, so I am looking at a book, not understanding a word of it, just absorbing the text, not the content
stevenaia Michinaga: it is a beautiful written text
stevenaia Michinaga: but since its usually on scrolls, that was strange
stevenaia Michinaga: I did sense i was looking at a "bible" like text
stevenaia Michinaga: I also sensed I was in a Buddhist "place" but didn;t move within it
Paradise Tennant: smiles ... a lovely dream indeed !
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps sitting in tibet
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Paradise Tennant: what were you feeling
stevenaia Michinaga: like I said, one of the more unusual dreams for me, unlike any other
    Paradise Tennant: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: I think I was asking "why" am I hear not understanding this, but it not having any impact on the moment which was peaceful
    stevenaia Michinaga: *here
stevenaia Michinaga: but it seemed like the right place to be :0
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Paradise Tennant: yes a very special place
Paradise Tennant: maybe you will dream the dream again with gradually more understanding of the text
stevenaia Michinaga: it has been a lone time since the dream, not sure there is a sequel
Paradise Tennant: sigh all great dreams should have sequels :)
stevenaia Michinaga: will talk to the Director about this
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: have you dreamed lately?
Paradise Tennant: hmm no I do not sleep enough apparently so very few dreams the last one I remembered was the one where I was singing in a field with a man and a woman .. sort of bell tones not really notes and there was just amazing harmony and then the song ended we all smiled at each other and I woke up
Paradise Tennant: i knew them in my dream but forgot who they were the moment I woke up
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, there is little short term dream memory unless you write it down in a journal or talk about it
stevenaia Michinaga: I often dream during very short naps, sometimes less than 20 minutes
Paradise Tennant: I keep a journal by the bed .. there is just nothing in it :)
Paradise Tennant: ahh yes your carpet naps :)
Paradise Tennant: I have hardwood in my office was thinking of you not to long ago .. and the concept of curling up under my desk :) not that cosy really
    --BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: mine is just an oriental carpet, seems perfect
Paradise Tennant: to sleep per chance to dream ... on an oriental carpet! It is perfect :)
stevenaia Michinaga: sleep like a rock... for 20 minutes
    Paradise Tennant: nice
stevenaia Michinaga: but compared to my office mate who is usually doing yoga with her legs up the wall,
    stevenaia Michinaga: I look normal
    Paradise Tennant: lol
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: wants to try one of those tread mill desks .. set up so you can walk while you are working vaguely reminiscent of being gerbil but I bet it would be great cardio :)
stevenaia Michinaga: :) I started a log many years ago when I moved away from everything I knew and could set my own schedule, so i would wake myself up after a dream and write pages and pages of dream descriptions
stevenaia Michinaga: have it power your computer and you will keep it moving
Paradise Tennant: lol yes great idea !
Paradise Tennant: so you dream alot ?
stevenaia Michinaga: no, not much that I remember
stevenaia Michinaga: I don;t nap as much as I probably should
Paradise Tennant: hmm I have stayed on europe time it seems so mostly going to bed around 8 pm and waking up at five ..but get a lot more sleep on that schedule ..amazing how much better you feel
stevenaia Michinaga: my naps are usually needed very close to the end of the day so I just work through it instead of napping
Paradise Tennant: speaking of which I should scoot ..I am getting seriously noddy .. and will have to wake up the dog .. to take him for his walk .. he gets so cranky :) getting to be an old dog
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Paradise Tennant: we should nap instead of having coffee breaks
Paradise Tennant: make much more sense
stevenaia Michinaga: night paradise, you kept the hour passing quickly
    Paradise Tennant: smiles
Paradise Tennant: nite nite steve big wave from toronto :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: keep warm
    Paradise Tennant: and you :)
