Wol Euler: damn, there's a PaB Wiki group meeting now, I forgot about that.

        SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Wol :)
        Agatha Macbeth: Shalom Wol
Eliza Madrigal: No... Storm isn't here so no weather
        Agatha Macbeth: And Ara
        Mickorod Renard: ahhh
        Agatha Macbeth: Stormy weather?
        Eliza Madrigal hums
        Agatha Macbeth: Cole Porter?
        Mickorod Renard: Hi Bleu
        Agatha Macbeth: Hi Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: Is it.... I wasn't sure who wrote it....
        Bleu Oleander: hi everyone
        Mickorod Renard: wb Ara
        SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: Hear Billie singing though
        Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :))
arabella Ella: That's better Hiya again!
        Agatha Macbeth: Yes Eliza :)
        Eliza Madrigal: Great, Ara :)
Mickorod Renard: felt like spring was coming today
        Agatha Macbeth: WB Ara
Eliza Madrigal: How so Mick... just warmth in the air?
arabella Ella: we had summer on sunday ... today it is gale force here :(
Agatha Macbeth: And seemed brighter this morning too
arabella Ella: but my freesias are out and so lovely
Eliza Madrigal: Yikes, Ara! Someone should put up a weather center in Malta...
        Eliza Madrigal: such fluxuations!
arabella Ella: yes ... i rode my bike for 5 hours on sunday and my nose got so sunburnt
        Agatha Macbeth: Fluxuations?
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes, from retreat reports it seems that one never knows what weather will be in Malta from day to day....
        Eliza Madrigal: quite interesting actually
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder what causes that?
Mickorod Renard: sunburn on the nose?
arabella Ella: it is mainly good weather but winter hits us sometimes ... milder than most of europe though
        Agatha Macbeth: Oww
arabella Ella: yes my nose as i was wearing my helmet of course
        Mickorod Renard: yes
arabella Ella: actually nose and neck
        Agatha Macbeth: Neck is worse
Mickorod Renard: that first sun of the year is always severe
arabella Ella: yes dollops of cream after ... should have been before but we dont normally use protection in winter
        Bleu Oleander: wear your sunscreen!
arabella Ella: most of us locals rarely wear sunscreen in summer either as with perspiration it just flows down in white droplets
        Eliza Madrigal holds back comment
        arabella Ella: go on Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: funny to call sunscreen 'protection'... guess I'm having a day... hahah
Mickorod Renard: yes, and makes your eyes sting too sometimes
Agatha Macbeth: Comment broke free! ;-)
arabella Ella: oh yes ... should have been more specific Eliza ... skin protection or sun screen would sound better to avoid misunderstanding :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes, couldn't take it... I wait for Mick, generally... then Ara to correct him and apologize
        arabella Ella giggles
        Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Mickorod Renard: we have clouds here..they are very effective at shielding the sun
        Agatha Macbeth: Totally
Eliza Madrigal: No I know what you meant, Ara... just being silly :)
Eliza Madrigal: They don't shield from the dangerous rays though
arabella Ella: sunday was clear skies and crystal blue clear sea ... around 30
arabella Ella: we had malta marathon sunday
arabella Ella: many foreign marathon runners
        Agatha Macbeth: Who won?
arabella Ella: from colder countries running in temperatures of 30
SophiaSharon Larnia: around the island, ara?
        arabella Ella: yes
Mickorod Renard: were they local that won?
arabella Ella: started at Point de Vue outside Mdina where we stayed during the retreat
        Mickorod Renard: yeaaaa
arabella Ella: a foreigner won full marathon
arabella Ella: there was full, half and walkathlon
        arabella Ella: 1400 people participated
Mickorod Renard: do they have a crawlerthon,,i might manage that
arabella Ella: and i had to take a photographer pillion to take pictures for the media
arabella Ella: i never broke so many traffic rules in my life
Agatha Macbeth: How about a 'stop and give up after a mile athon'?
        Eliza Madrigal: :))
Mickorod Renard: that must have been very scary for the photographer
        Agatha Macbeth: That's for me
arabella Ella: what an excellent idea Aga I will propose it to my friends the organisers
Agatha Macbeth: Countn me in then :)
arabella Ella: yes everyone told the photographer he must be mad to ride pillion with a female
Mickorod Renard: well, I wouldnt have made the sexist ciomment
arabella Ella: oh one other thing
arabella Ella: today is my first anniversary (and Mick's too) at PaB ... I came across the chat log and it was 01/03
Eliza Madrigal: Happy Anniversary! I thought you two were around way before me....
Agatha Macbeth: You should hold hands then
        arabella Ella smiles
        arabella Ella: thanks!
Mickorod Renard: it feels like i have been here years
Eliza Madrigal: Guess I didn't attend the afternoon sessions so much back then...
arabella Ella: we were at Kira before here and before that I had visited the tea house
Agatha Macbeth: Only 16 minutes Mick
Eliza Madrigal: Agreed, Mick... It is a different time altogether "PaB time"
arabella Ella: and Pema had invited us at Kira to visit PaB
Mickorod Renard: yes, i remember,,it does seem long ago
        SophiaSharon Larnia: happy anniversary :)
Eliza Madrigal: Well much has happened...
        Eliza Madrigal: in a blink
arabella Ella: thanks ... thanks ... excited
Bleu Oleander: how did you both get to Kira?
        SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe
        Mickorod Renard: thankyou
        Mickorod Renard: I teleported
        Eliza Madrigal: =P~
        Mickorod Renard: he he
        Bleu Oleander: :)
arabella Ella: the philosophy attracted me ... Pema on phenomenology and Gilles too
Mickorod Renard: Ara's influence got me there I think
arabella Ella: and now seems like we are 'stuck' here
Bleu Oleander: so you knew each other before kira?
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
arabella Ella: not complaining so dont get me wrong
arabella Ella: yes we did from PH which is Philosophy House another sim here
Eliza Madrigal: 'here' goes where we go.... so hardly stuck....
        Eliza Madrigal giggles
        Agatha Macbeth: :)
arabella Ella: yes as i said i am not complaining
Yakuzza Lethecus: did you also attend thephilosophyclass like mick did arabella ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: is a pab anniversary more significant than a SL rez day?
Eliza Madrigal: It was for me...
Mickorod Renard: yes, Ara introduced me to Hermans Yaku
        Agatha Macbeth: Hermans what?
Bleu Oleander: I attended Hermans group as well
        Yakuzza Lethecus: http://thephilosophyclass.blogspot.com/
Mickorod Renard: before Ara I was hanging out in dance rooms
Yakuzza Lethecus: the guy who´s running it is called herman bergson in SL
        SophiaSharon Larnia: hahah
arabella Ella: I think PaB anniversary is just as significant as rez day SSL
        Bleu Oleander: ha!
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, not Munster then
arabella Ella: Herman was at another discussion I went to last night on Philosophy Island
arabella Ella: a relatively new sim
Yakuzza Lethecus: it seems to replace philosophy house
        SophiaSharon Larnia: hmm
Mickorod Renard: well, in my opinion, philo house lost its path some time ago
        Yakuzza Lethecus: nods
Eliza Madrigal: When getting to know SL I attended quite a few philosophy sessions... and yes that spot often was quite unpleasant....
arabella Ella: philosophy island is a sim which is attracting some philosophers to set up home and they have quite a few events but not all time zone friendly for me
        Yakuzza Lethecus: nods :(
        Agatha Macbeth: erk
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, good tip Ara, Thanks
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes i remember the mad tea party aspect of it :)
        SophiaSharon Larnia: loved that haha
arabella Ella: well one of the last times i attended PH we put together a singing session using voice which was lovely
Eliza Madrigal: :) It was really neat though.... once this guy turned into like 5 diff avs in a row... very quickly. Being new to SL it was wild....
arabella Ella: of course i refused to sing
arabella Ella: oh yes i remember that Eliza amazing
Eliza Madrigal: You put together a singing session and wouldn't sing?
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
        arabella Ella: yes i did
        Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Mickorod Renard: I liked the guitar player
        Mickorod Renard: talisman I think
Eliza Madrigal: I think we should have the PaB equivalent of a Christmas album....
arabella Ella: they did their best to get me to sing but my voice is terribly flat so no way
Agatha Macbeth: The words 'object' and 'exercise' come to mind
arabella Ella: oh Mick he is the one who had the session last night Talesin
        Mickorod Renard: noooo?
        Mickorod Renard: I missed him
        arabella Ella: yes
Eliza Madrigal: Hm.... maybe one of the first people I met in SL actually....
arabella Ella: well maybe i can 'influence' you to come to one of the sessions at Philosophy island as there will be more and this one was euro zone friendly (time wise)
        Mickorod Renard: sounds good
arabella Ella: there were lots of other people from PH too who I know well
Mickorod Renard: I am not sure I want to do much more philosophy
arabella Ella: Talesin now wants to discuss topics such as the philosophy of second life
arabella Ella: it was quite an open discussion
        Agatha Macbeth: That sounds good
Eliza Madrigal: yes, does sound neat
arabella Ella: yes ... altho most of the discussion was more personal rather than philosophical
Yakuzza Lethecus: sadly, 2pm isn´t european friendly in ,,my" case
Eliza Madrigal: The new phenom workshop at Kira was fantastic... was sorry it didn't go on longer...
Yakuzza Lethecus: or the 2:30pm discussion today
Mickorod Renard: has it started then Eliza?
arabella Ella: which is that Yaku?
Yakuzza Lethecus: or the new kira event on thursday 2-3pm
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we might have phenom discussions here sometime...
Eliza Madrigal: No, Mick... it went on for about 6 weeks....
        Mickorod Renard: I like phenem
arabella Ella: and which phenemo discussion did u refer to?
arabella Ella: ah yes i got that too Yaku
Mickorod Renard: ahh,,the one thats finnished,,I was annoyed I was working at that time
Mickorod Renard: (well, at the pub)
Yakuzza Lethecus: the now kira event´s on thrusdays will also be more about spiritual/contemplative issues as it seems
arabella Ella: who is running that Yaku?
Yakuzza Lethecus: i am really curious about that if that also gives new idea´s on pab
        Yakuzza Lethecus: ups :)
Mickorod Renard: that sounds good Yaku
Bleu Oleander: Vector Marksman is running that one
        arabella Ella: ah ty
        Agatha Macbeth: What time?
        Bleu Oleander: 2 pm
        Yakuzza Lethecus: http://www.localendar.com/elsie?DAM=PublishedEvent&event_id=127&calendar_id=360015&more_info=N&export_date=Mar%2004,%202010
        Agatha Macbeth: TY
Mickorod Renard: vector?,,I may raster along to that
Bleu Oleander: thursdays for eight weeks
arabella Ella: interesting i would like to go too ... just hope i dont forget
        arabella Ella: (too much happening)
Agatha Macbeth: Wow, 35 years eh?
Mickorod Renard: yes, thats my problem,,life is a blur
        Agatha Macbeth: Now that's experience
        arabella Ella: it sure is
Agatha Macbeth: He'll know what he's talkinga bout then :)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, found the wiki for the phenom discussions.... well worth reading....
        Eliza Madrigal: http://sites.google.com/site/phenomenologyvip/meetings
        Agatha Macbeth: (damn KB)
        arabella Ella: KB?
        arabella Ella: ty Eliza
        Agatha Macbeth: Keyboard
        arabella Ella smiles
Bleu Oleander: I was sorry that phenom group stopped as well
Agatha Macbeth: Not King's Bishop :)
arabella Ella: i thought it was someone's initials
        arabella Ella: Karen Brown?
        SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
        Agatha Macbeth: Kate Bush?
Eliza Madrigal: I think that people who run successful workshops in SL, might then run workshops on how to do that....
arabella Ella: what an excellent idea Eliza
SophiaSharon Larnia: head spins Eliza haha
        Eliza Madrigal smiles
        Bleu Oleander: workshops on workshops
Yakuzza Lethecus: bleu: have you been able to reschedule a meeting with the guy from the life 2.0 movie ?
Eliza Madrigal: then will need a wiki...
        Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
arabella Ella: 'the secrets of running successful SL workshops'!
        Agatha Macbeth: WOW
Mickorod Renard: as soon as I have mastered time travel I will get to those Phenem meets
Bleu Oleander: oh yes, sat. march 20
        SophiaSharon Larnia: haha Mick, yea
Eliza Madrigal: You don't need to travel Mick... just lay back into timelessness and then zero in from there...
Yakuzza Lethecus: workshops on workshops bleu :)
        Mickorod Renard: grin
arabella Ella: argh .... dropping Time!
Mickorod Renard: I need a secretary to sit in on the meets I cant get to
Eliza Madrigal: ...send alts into various times...
SophiaSharon Larnia: i want a secretary for regular stuff too
Eliza Madrigal: then your secretary will need a secretary....
Mickorod Renard: actually I need someone to understand them too,,and then translate into real simple language for me
Agatha Macbeth readies her word processor
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
        SophiaSharon Larnia: lol
Eliza Madrigal: We have Ara :) She'll tell us what philosopher so-n-so means....
Mickorod Renard: I respond better to oral
        SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: See.... knew it would take long...
Agatha Macbeth: t you do Mick ;-)
Mickorod Renard: words just blend together
        Agatha Macbeth: Bet
        arabella Ella: me?
Mickorod Renard: what did I say??
        arabella Ella: he he
        Mickorod Renard: grin
arabella Ella: Eliza said i would explain all
        Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal always hopes someone will
        Eliza Madrigal giggles
        SophiaSharon Larnia: ;p
arabella Ella: my understanding too is very limited
Agatha Macbeth will be right back.
Mickorod Renard: I find it interesting though, that many subjects we are attracted to seem to connect
Eliza Madrigal: I have an easier time with concepts than with names and dates...
        SophiaSharon Larnia: me too
arabella Ella: yes and that helps us to build up more of a community here
        Eliza Madrigal: true, Mick
        arabella Ella: me too Eliza
SophiaSharon Larnia: i understand something in a flash, an then rezch for that flash again
        SophiaSharon Larnia: reach*
Eliza Madrigal: It seems a weakness in many discussions that come from an 'intellecutal' angle... because sometimes it seems people just want to list.....
Mickorod Renard: I wonder what we would like to build upon our pab session,,that we may reach bu consensus?
SophiaSharon Larnia: the word "consensus"feels almost dangerous to me
arabella Ella: do we really need consensus Mick?
        Eliza Madrigal: near to belief
        Eliza Madrigal: ?
Mickorod Renard: yes, I thionk I have that too SSl,,I feel i have had a revelation,,then it vanishes a week later
arabella Ella: i dont think we need consensus ... rather we need respect for all opinions and perspectives
        SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
Eliza Madrigal: Ah... or a flash/blink... then details begin lining up...
        Agatha Macbeth returns and salutes
SophiaSharon Larnia: if you stay with it Eliza, which is hard to do on a certain level
Mickorod Renard: maybe I said the wrong thing,,I was maening,,if we put our heads together,,what would we agree we need
Eliza Madrigal: like given an SL freebie bag to sort
Eliza Madrigal nods to Sharon.. and there seems to be 'weather' for that too... conditions in which it will or won't... hehe
SophiaSharon Larnia: much of these thoughts have an intensity that is hard to maintain
Mickorod Renard: sometimes I remember from past sessions,,I felt I was groping around in the dark
        Agatha Macbeth: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Liza :) WB Agatha
        SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Liza
        Liza Deischer: hi all
        Mickorod Renard: Hi Liza
        Agatha Macbeth: Hello Liza
        Bleu Oleander: hi Liza
Eliza Madrigal: At things which seem clear now, Mick?
        Mickorod Renard: erm
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
        Eliza Madrigal: Clear-ER
        Eliza Madrigal: ?
        Mickorod Renard: perhaps
        Eliza Madrigal nods
Mickorod Renard: but I need to reinforce it occasionaly
Eliza Madrigal: I relate to that too
Eliza Madrigal: and to go back to beginnings...
Mickorod Renard: perhaps there are things like mission statements
Eliza Madrigal: glow in the dark outlines?
Mickorod Renard: I will love everyone,,I will feel a better person,,etc etc
        SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
Mickorod Renard: yes,,thats a nice way of putting it Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe a little of what you mean is along the lines of 'view'
Mickorod Renard: just a set of emergency lighting on the floor like at cinema's
        Eliza Madrigal: yes, heh..perfect :))
SophiaSharon Larnia: or you can just fall
        Mickorod Renard: he he
        Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
SophiaSharon Larnia: easy for me to say though :)
Mickorod Renard: I think some of these things are good if you can devote enough attention without life getting in the way,,yet funnily enough,,its the richness of life we want to connect too
        Mickorod Renard: to*
        arabella Ella: yes but ...
arabella Ella: some people take ambition and power to be the richness of life and unfortunately they miss out on more beautiful and valuable aspects
arabella Ella: the simple ones in particular
Eliza Madrigal nods... so much richness everywhere... available
Eliza Madrigal: all that appears :)
        arabella Ella nods
Mickorod Renard: well,,power and ambition are not one of my attachments
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes it is worth it to take concentrated periods to develop a deeper/wider scope... and then integration to bring that into *everything*
Mickorod Renard: but having responsibilities sometimes is a problem
Liza Deischer: are you sure mick :-)
        Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal: maybe not even getting rid of attachments... but being less attached to them... hehe
Mickorod Renard: that sounds good Eliza
SophiaSharon Larnia: is there a thing as a loose attachment?
Mickorod Renard: even the bit before
Eliza Madrigal: I still ogle shoes in the mall.. appreciate them and leave them there....
Eliza Madrigal: not all of them of course. haha... I do wear shoes! :)
Liza Deischer: you first need to see the attachements, and accept them, befor you can deal with them
arabella Ella loves shoes ... he he
        SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Eliza Madrigal: so acceptance can maybe loosen them...
arabella Ella: do you mean something like a retreat Eliza when you say a concentrated period of time?
Mickorod Renard: I am pretty good at resisting temptation now,,much to many peoples frustration
Eliza Madrigal: yes.. and something like what I've done this year...
arabella Ella: ehrm ... which is?
Eliza Madrigal: which is take every spare moment... really like when one makes a resolution and it frames everything...
Eliza Madrigal: kind of zero-ing in....
Eliza Madrigal: maybe at times ruthlessly setting a priority...
Eliza Madrigal: Am just relaxing that now
        arabella Ella: interesting
Eliza Madrigal: I mean year as a kind of approximate, btw
Mickorod Renard: somewhere there must be taking control without becoming controlling?
Eliza Madrigal: but I definitely think that's why people go on retreats...
Bleu Oleander: what did you find Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: and some even loooong retreats
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, a surprisingly tough question Bleu!
Eliza Madrigal: I have a taste of what's essential perhaps...
        Agatha Macbeth sneaks off quietly

Mickorod Renard: I think I have to go now,,I am sure I am expected somewhere
Eliza Madrigal: I should qualify and say 'for me'... which was needed with my children getting older, etc.
        Yakuzza Lethecus: good night everyone
        Eliza Madrigal: Nite Ya
        Mickorod Renard: ciao yaku
Eliza Madrigal: At the pub, Mick?

        Mickorod Renard: byeeeeee
        SophiaSharon Larnia: bye everyone :0
        SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Anyway, its a bit of an interesting question overall, especially considering talk about retreats and 'why' ...
        Bleu Oleander: yes:)
Liza Deischer: are you talkig about some kind of awareness during the day, Eliza
        Liza Deischer: ?
Eliza Madrigal: there are defining times in life, too... when you sit under the tree....
Eliza Madrigal: and don't move (figuratively)
        Eliza Madrigal: heheh
SophiaSharon Larnia: In some ways I feel like I'm on retreal, when I'm at home, in a very simple way
Eliza Madrigal: You've set that up, Sharon?
        Bleu Oleander: nice thought Sharon
Bleu Oleander: home as a retreat
        Eliza Madrigal: very
SophiaSharon Larnia: no, i dont know if I understand you :)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, just nurturing environment...
SophiaSharon Larnia: i dont know if its wishful thnking
Eliza Madrigal: not if you feel that way... if you find it a refuge...
Liza Deischer: home can feel like safety
SophiaSharon Larnia: wonders if the idea of refuge is like you said Liza, feeling safe
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: if its an escape, but it doesnt feel that way
Liza Deischer: depends on what kind of 'refuge' you mean
Eliza Madrigal: where you can Rest
        SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
Bleu Oleander: gtg, cu later :)
        Liza Deischer: bye bleu
        SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Bleu :)
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to seee you Bleu!
Eliza Madrigal: In the Tilopa sense of the word.... like Pema uses it, refering to the outline...
        Liza Deischer: ???
Eliza Madrigal: Have you see that Liza? I think Sharon has....
        Eliza Madrigal: one sec...
        SophiaSharon Larnia: remind me :)
        Eliza Madrigal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilopa
Eliza Madrigal: Look toward the middle, there are "Six Words of Advice"
        Liza Deischer: ok
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes I think of this before a sitting....
Eliza Madrigal: like levels of dropping
        Eliza Madrigal: 'Don't recall/ Don't imagine/Don't think/Don't examine/Don't control/Rest'
Eliza Madrigal: anyway, I'm chatty today aren't i...
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, I try this is bursts, the dont think/imagine/examine is so very difficult
        Eliza Madrigal nods, agree
Eliza Madrigal: and the extention of that 'let go of what may come/what has passed..." eek!
SophiaSharon Larnia: this is a discussion that deserves time
Liza Deischer: those are all improtant to meditation
SophiaSharon Larnia: what I'm running out of atm
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
        Eliza Madrigal nods @ Liza
Eliza Madrigal: and life... working meditation into life...
Eliza Madrigal: Have to work Sharon?
SophiaSharon Larnia: haha no not tonight :)
        Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal actually 'planned' to be on SL a lot today... how's that for priorities?!
        Eliza Madrigal giggles
        Liza Deischer: :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: thats how you get to the groups that i keep missing
Eliza Madrigal: I was feeling disconnected...
        Liza Deischer: how come?
Eliza Madrigal: :) Sharon... not sure... I feel like I've been missing things too...
Eliza Madrigal: And Liza I think I was wrapped up in emails and things...
Eliza Madrigal: moreso than just signing on and talking to people, or moving things around on the retreat land...
Eliza Madrigal: Which I did today :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: ive been feeling more connected, but not connected to anything in particular
        Liza Deischer: disconnected to what?
        SophiaSharon Larnia: touching lightly
Eliza Madrigal: That's a neat idea Sharon!!
SophiaSharon Larnia: i dont know why or what
        Eliza Madrigal smiles
        Liza Deischer: don't think :-)
        Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: don't try to figure anything out
Liza Deischer: I think i read one of your 'disconnections'
        Liza Deischer: thanks for that
        Eliza Madrigal: Oh... hehe....
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :) but then its hard to come here and chat,. my mind will go blank, thats not quite right is it, is that escape?
Eliza Madrigal: I should mention that I also write on a blog, a workshop wiki, etc
Eliza Madrigal: Hmm Sharon, not always
        Liza Deischer: I understand
SophiaSharon Larnia: ive been walking that line, im not sure what i mean, i just know it doesnt matter right now
Eliza Madrigal: yes, I do think I know what you mean....
Liza Deischer: excape is hard to describe
SophiaSharon Larnia: remember Pab and do the "9 sec"
        Liza Deischer: *escape
Eliza Madrigal: like when I said disconnected I felt that I wasn't quite comfortable in SL... in the virtual environment... wasn't flowing in it... that's a sort of 'blank'
SophiaSharon Larnia: are you connected in rl?
Eliza Madrigal: yes... think it was a gear switching thing...
Liza Deischer: just wanted to ask that :-)
        SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
        Eliza Madrigal: needed oil
        Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
        Liza Deischer: and oil is.....?
Eliza Madrigal: Re escape.... I was trying earlier to form a thought about that.... and the closest I get is that visualizations can bring someone closer to reality...
Eliza Madrigal: and so I think in that way the things, like SL that we might call escapes... engage up someting real/direct
Eliza Madrigal: which can't really be called escape?
        Eliza Madrigal: Is that convoluted?
SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe to someone who hasn't been in SL
Eliza Madrigal: wakes up dormant parts of our subconscious...
        Liza Deischer: it does
Liza Deischer: depending on how you use sl
        SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, true... some use it to wake other parts...
        Eliza Madrigal snorts
SophiaSharon Larnia: a virtual internal landscape
        Eliza Madrigal: OOoooohh!!
        Liza Deischer: yes
        SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Liza Deischer: to me it works like a mirror
        SophiaSharon Larnia: <>
Eliza Madrigal: A mirror? Say more?
Liza Deischer: the way I have 'met' my avatar
        Liza Deischer: both of them
Liza Deischer: I have a male alt
Liza Deischer: and I found out things about my feelings that have been there, but didn't got enough space
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, alts are good for that hahah
Eliza Madrigal: how fascinating... really resonates
Eliza Madrigal: really neat idea... meeting one's self in SL
Liza Deischer: it worked that way
Liza Deischer: for me that is
        Liza Deischer: spontaniously
Liza Deischer: but I think I have had always question about my male/female sides
Liza Deischer: so it was bound to happen, the mirroring :-)
Eliza Madrigal: It does give one a way to really try things on... I had a male alt for a few months, too...
        SophiaSharon Larnia: me too
Eliza Madrigal: Had I been able to master using AOs it might have been a smoother ride... heheh
SophiaSharon Larnia: i couldnt help but to out myself the minute i started talking to someone though
Eliza Madrigal: but he walked strangely and I felt clumsy
Eliza Madrigal: hehe, I'm like that with Lila, too, Sharon
SophiaSharon Larnia: showed me how I ID with something
Liza Deischer: Now I have an sl-friend, who is a man, but a female in sl and we have had interesting discussion
Eliza Madrigal: I guess you see reactions you didn't know you had...
Liza Deischer: it took some time, but mine is now walking and talking smoothly :-)
        SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Liza Deischer: both by the way experimenting with our female side, strangely enough :-)
        Eliza Madrigal: That's fascinating!
Eliza Madrigal: I think we've had talk of a kira workshop eventually... on these kinds of SL topics...
Eliza Madrigal: would be great... compare notes like we're doing...
        Liza Deischer: :-)
Liza Deischer: and along the way, it helped me to express myself differently
        Liza Deischer: also in rl
        Eliza Madrigal: that's wonderful
Eliza Madrigal: like a hidden door
Liza Deischer: it feels that way
        Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: thats key for me, finding soe intergration to rl, it feels insurmountable sometimes, like the distance is too great
        SophiaSharon Larnia: some*
        Liza Deischer: insurmountable?
SophiaSharon Larnia: but i dont even know what i mean by that
        Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: we can't make integration happen....
SophiaSharon Larnia: i know what part of it is, i unhappy in a part of my life that takes up a big time chunk, my job
SophiaSharon Larnia: and the self i am there, and the self i am not there, are 2 different
        Eliza Madrigal: Yes... Sharon...
