2010.04.12 13:00 - All in a good book

The Guardian for this meeting was Mickorod Renard

    arabella Ella: Ciao Qt
    Qt Core: hi ara
    Qt Core: hi Darren
    arabella Ella: Hiya Darren
Qt Core: (i was worrying about your previous seating choice :-) )
Darren Islar: Hi Ara, hi QT
arabella Ella: whose seating choice? mine or Darren's?
Darren Islar: my preivous seating choice?
    Qt Core: your, Ara
Darren Islar: trying to get on your shoulders
    Darren Islar: ah, oh Ara
    Darren Islar: Ar'a
    Darren Islar: Ara's
arabella Ella: ehrm ... not sure what you mean ...??
Qt Core: i saw you seated outside the external seating circle
arabella Ella: oh it may have been lag as i saw myself on this cushion from the start ... but SL is weird sometimes :)
Qt Core: yeah, right, jkust sometimes ;-) (not speaking about slers...
    arabella Ella: he he
Darren Islar: those sometimes seem to grow
arabella Ella: how are you two tonite?
Darren Islar: still sleepy, had a late nap
arabella Ella: sounds nice ... a nap
    Darren Islar: it is :-)
Qt Core: quite good, got an interesting day at work
    arabella Ella: oh great
Darren Islar: oh you like to tell us about it?
    arabella Ella: yes please Qt
    arabella Ella: Hiya Mick
    Darren Islar: hi Mick
    Mickorod Renard: Hiya
Mickorod Renard: sorry i am late
Qt Core: just did some dirty work inside some scary code and got out alive and with it still working
Qt Core: well, working better ;-)
arabella Ella giggles at Qt's description
Darren Islar smiles at the same desciption
Qt Core: i like wen after mining my way inside it the solution is just a few lines of codes, like today
arabella Ella: the way you described it though sounds like a horror movie with ghosts and gremlins ... but with a nice (good) ending
Mickorod Renard: its certainly a nice description
Darren Islar: I like solving thing, but have a great respect for the patience of a programmer
arabella Ella: oh yes i agree with Darren, many programmers have the patience of saints
Darren Islar: so I heard them swore quite a few times :-))
    Darren Islar: so = though
    arabella Ella: he he
    arabella Ella: Hiya Eliza
Mickorod Renard: I have noticed that a few people here, a greater proportion like QT, have trains of thought that often need answers to questions
    Darren Islar: hi Eliza
Darren Islar: And the seem to think there screen is a living creature :-)
Eliza Madrigal: Hiya Ara, Mick, Qt, Darren :)
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Eliza
    Qt Core: hi Mick, Eliza
Darren Islar: so maybe you were right ara, it was a horror movie, with a good ending
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Wol
Qt Core: answers, i love them, especially when they end with a question mark ;-)
    Wol Euler: hello invisibles
    Darren Islar: hi Wol
Eliza Madrigal: Hey, Navi Wol :)
    Darren Islar: :-)
    Wol Euler grins
arabella Ella: Well i am tempted to ask you all to co-write the script with the code being the protagonist in the horror movie :)
arabella Ella: Hiya Wol (lookvi)!ing so pretty as a Na'
    Qt Core: hi Wol
    Wol Euler: ty :)
Wol Euler: hello mick, darren, ara, qt, eliza
Mickorod Renard: I am not a programmer, but I feel I have an unsatiable appetite for wanting answers to questions
Mickorod Renard: and perhaps thats why I like it here
Qt Core: may i ask you how much you like to having the pan and orbit controls hiding each other in the new viewer ?
Wol Euler: I loathe and despise it.
Wol Euler: I curse it, and I kick its dog.
    Darren Islar: not!!
Wol Euler: ok, I don't kick dogs.
Darren Islar: I'm glad to hear :-)
arabella Ella: i decided not to download new viewer yet
    Mickorod Renard: poor li doggies
arabella Ella: maybe they will fix the bugs till i download it
    Darren Islar: those aren't bugs
Wol Euler: true, they are "features"
Qt Core: the worst things aren't the bugs, but some ui choices
Wol Euler: try emerald instead, ara
Eliza Madrigal intends to install emerald post-retreat
Wol Euler: or snowglobe, many people like that too
Qt Core: i just ended to let them know my opinion about the new viewer ;-)
    Mickorod Renard: what are theseviewers?
Wol Euler: will you have your laptop with you?
Eliza Madrigal has no lap top... so... no :)
Eliza Madrigal: My intentions for the 'in between' times are to read, and write with good ol fashioned pen/paper :)
    Wol Euler googles "pen"
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Qt Core: i'm a technophile but love pens, i use a fountain one for my daily needs
Eliza Madrigal: I'm somewhat tempted to borrow my son's laptop, but nah
Mickorod Renard: my laptop is sick,,some virus,,I dont even know what it is
Eliza Madrigal: did you take its temperature, mick?
Mickorod Renard: I just threw it in a cupboard
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
    Wol Euler: o.O
Eliza Madrigal: so it is punished for being ill?
Wol Euler: "well, it worked with the children ..."
    Mickorod Renard: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh My
Mickorod Renard: I did take it for a dive today,,it went to work with me with the intention of letting outr it staff cure it
    Mickorod Renard: drive*
Mickorod Renard: but I was so busty I forgot
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Mickorod Renard: busy*
    arabella Ella giggles at typos
    Mickorod Renard: grin
    Wol Euler giggles
arabella Ella imagines a busty laptop ???
arabella Ella: are you thinking of the dancers mick?
Eliza Madrigal: a busty mick with a busted laptop....
Mickorod Renard: well,,u know me,,one track mind
Wol Euler smiles at qt. Thank you!
Wol Euler: got you now, Mick! Enforced sociability!
Mickorod Renard: all my pc'ss and laptops are fine when i use them,,then someone else borrows them for a few mins and voila,,virus
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal: that happens with cars, too....
    Eliza Madrigal: isn't it odd?
Eliza Madrigal: like our things get used to us
Mickorod Renard: yes, i noticed that too
    Wol Euler nods
Mickorod Renard: my clothes are another thing similar
Qt Core: that's why most of my things are configured to be almost unusable to others ;-)
    arabella Ella: he he
Eliza Madrigal: like people in relationships...
Mickorod Renard: still thinking about that one Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Can I get away with saying its a koan? hehe
    Wol Euler: :)
    arabella Ella: :)
arabella Ella: sounds like a safe way out Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Eliza Madrigal: hmmm... my laundry is beginning to seem exciting...
    Wol Euler: O.O
    Eliza Madrigal: (kidding) hahha
Mickorod Renard: wasnt it sad about thepolish plane crash?
    Eliza Madrigal: horrible, Mick
    Eliza Madrigal: :(
Mickorod Renard: have u heard if it was sabatage?
    arabella Ella: very sad
Eliza Madrigal: evidently the weather was quite bad...
arabella Ella: it was an old tupolev i think that is enough said
Eliza Madrigal: so its hard to say
Qt Core: it seem the pilots chose to ignore the suggestion to go land at Minsk for the bad weather
Eliza Madrigal: It seems that the idea of being a pilot for many, doesn't hold quite the dignity it used to... when you hear some things re drinking or what were those two doing recently? facebook or tetris? That isn't to say it was the

    case here, but still.
Wol Euler: / the speculation here is that the pilot was bullied into landing there despite the warnings
    Mickorod Renard: ahh,,I see
    Eliza Madrigal: oooh
    Wol Euler nods
Wol Euler: President was not a patient man, and had as much apreciation of delayed gratification as a two year old
arabella Ella: true the status of pilots has changed but i know a few and they are all very responsible people ... and nice people too
Wol Euler: had a history of bullying pilots
Mickorod Renard: ohh, do you think it may destabalize the region?
Eliza Madrigal nods @ Ara.. yes, many... just considering that it seems those stories are more common these days
    arabella Ella nods
Eliza Madrigal: I was missing the bit about the bullying... makes more sense now that there isn't more suspicion of sabotage
Darren Islar: I don't know mick, but I don't think so
    Mickorod Renard: yes
Darren Islar: the bullying is even on the recorders
arabella Ella: well apparently the guy who is most 'eligible' to take over is acting president at the moment ...
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh!
Darren Islar: otherwise they wouldn't know
Wol Euler: I thought the "takeover" process was called "being elected"?
arabella Ella: and it is being said that his situation with having to nominate so many key people is so difficult he may not be eventually chosen and there are no alternatives
    Wol Euler: wait and see
Mickorod Renard: yes, thats all we can do,,be observers
Darren Islar: but I think it is mostly an internal affair
arabella Ella: his position makes him more liable to criticism for taking decisions which may not receive consensus
    Darren Islar: the twin brothers
Mickorod Renard: any news on the earthquake in the pacific?
    Mickorod Renard: solomon islands
Mickorod Renard: how far into the tsk book are you Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, done Mick :)
Eliza Madrigal: for this reading anyway :)
Mickorod Renard: I bought it at xmas,,but am too into other stuff at the moment
Mickorod Renard: so you got to the end? or you mean up to a stage
Eliza Madrigal: In my case I read it once before.. but in a sort of pre-reading way...
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Mickorod Renard: i see
Eliza Madrigal: When time workshop began it again, then I dove into it more deeply
arabella Ella: so are you reading it for the second time Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: I just finished the second reading, though first 'aborbed' reading, with the time workshop
Eliza Madrigal: I'll read it again next year I think
Eliza Madrigal: This time it was far more 'open' to me than the first time
arabella Ella: wow i am sooooo impressed Eliza!
Mickorod Renard: much is interlinked isnt it,,regarding PaB and phenemology?
Eliza Madrigal: though I often had to get out of the house, or read out loud at parts
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: so it was like 'practice'
    arabella Ella: yes
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, I suppose yes Mick...
    Wol Euler: hello yaku
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Yakuzza :)
Mickorod Renard: is there any one thing that you would say was quite a revelation?
    Darren Islar: hi Yaku
    Eliza Madrigal: (thanks Ara)
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Yaku
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey everyone :)
    arabella Ella: hiya yaku!
    Qt Core: hi Yaku
Eliza Madrigal: For me... a sense of innate Satisfaction in presence of everything...
Eliza Madrigal: There is a part of the book where the phrase "grazing on space" is used... which somehow hit me quite profoundly this time
    Mickorod Renard: thats aninteresting phrase
Eliza Madrigal: it is... it may have even been 'space grazing on space'....
Mickorod Renard: did u work out what it meant?
Eliza Madrigal: but difficult to convey
    Mickorod Renard: ok
    Eliza Madrigal: yes...
Eliza Madrigal: There is one part of the book where 'everything being available' is described...
Eliza Madrigal: a vision of abundance... then coming in an idea of 'storing up'...
Eliza Madrigal: which begins to take over.. so that in that framework there is a sense of lack... of trying to be 'prepared', etc
Eliza Madrigal: so in trying to capture things we block ourselves from being satisfied...
    Wol Euler nods.
Eliza Madrigal: Obviously not as eloquent and clear about it as Maxine and Pema :)
    Mickorod Renard: MMM sounds nice
    Mickorod Renard: to see that
Eliza Madrigal: but 'coming from completeness' into our lives is indeed inspiring
Eliza Madrigal: opening our relationships perhaps, letting us enjoy all appearances
Eliza Madrigal: take time, which we might see as more abundant, to appreciate and experience :)
Eliza Madrigal: so yup, pab :)))
Darren Islar: the more money we get, the more we seem to be scared to loose it
Mickorod Renard: that sounds like something I have savoured before,,its frustrating that I cannot hold onto it for very long
Eliza Madrigal nods... and same with people. Having teenagers I notice that the more popular kids get stuck in traps of staying popular, etc... have to keep 'biggering' to feel one is keeping up
Darren Islar: it is a constant training
Eliza Madrigal: Mick... the nice thing to settle into is that its still there
Eliza Madrigal: even when you don't 'think' it is
Darren Islar: part of it is accepting that you can't hold on to it
Darren Islar: that would be the same thing as holding on to money
Mickorod Renard: thats a good way of relaxing into it Darren
Eliza Madrigal: so 'being' open, then everything supposedly 'else' is too
    Darren Islar: exactly Eliza
Darren Islar: but we talked a bit about fear that might come up when you open up yourself
Eliza Madrigal: Also I think its about 'Authenticity' in the deepest sense of the word. When one isn't constantly fearful of what might be lost, they might be more generous and hm 'real'
    arabella Ella nods to Darren
Mickorod Renard: I remember crossing this path once before,,in this pab,,it sometimes takes a leap of faith
    Wol Euler nods.
Darren Islar: which doesn't make the process not easy
    Darren Islar: -not
Eliza Madrigal: nods , yes the fear is there, but maybe one doesn't 'go' with it
Eliza Madrigal: but lets it open up, too
Eliza Madrigal: by having a capacity to stay
Darren Islar: there are techniques yds, but if you're not aware of the fear that might come up
Darren Islar: you constantly feel like you are loosing something you already thought you gained
Eliza Madrigal: well there is also giving away what you didn't think you had...
Darren Islar: if you know it is or can be part of the process it makes it easier
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: Anyway, 4 or 5 more readings and I might be able to articulate TSK better
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: I feel that way about Proust :)
    Eliza Madrigal: OH!!!
arabella Ella: must go now nite all!
Eliza Madrigal: Wol.. I'd never read "the tea and the madeline" before this week
    Mickorod Renard: nite nite
Wol Euler: 'night ara, take care
    Yakuzza Lethecus: night ara
    Darren Islar: nite Ara
    Eliza Madrigal: Night Ara :)
    Qt Core: 'night ara
Eliza Madrigal: Or in English, "The Cookie". Eden passed it along... so beautiful
    Mickorod Renard: whats thatabout..the cookie?
Eliza Madrigal: I was actually talking to a guy in Starbucks about it this morning., because they sell madeline cookies there
Eliza Madrigal: Let me get a link
Mickorod Renard: is it a womans book?
    Eliza Madrigal: A story...
Wol Euler throws a cushion at you
    Mickorod Renard: ok
    Mickorod Renard: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: http://www.haverford.edu/psych/ddavis/p109g/proust.html
    Mickorod Renard: tghankyou
Eliza Madrigal: :) This story is PaB, too, and phenom., and scripture :) I only wish I could read it in French
Wol Euler nods sadly. I tried and failed at that, Eliza.
Mickorod Renard: I have rea that piece before,,for some reason,,I will look it up
Qt Core: will read it before sleeping
    Mickorod Renard: thanks
Wol Euler: when my french was current and good enough, I wasn't interested. Now that I'm interested, my French is too rusty
    Eliza Madrigal: You'll love it
Eliza Madrigal: I ran out and bought a Proust book that day, after carrying the story with me to the doctor's office... welling up...
Mickorod Renard: now then,,I have a commitment elswhere,,please excuse me
Wol Euler: 'night mick, take care
Eliza Madrigal: am such a sap, but not to let the tears be would have been insulting :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Night Wol :)
    Mickorod Renard: nite nite all
    Eliza Madrigal: Oops
    Eliza Madrigal: Mick!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Darren Islar: nite mick
Eliza Madrigal: was thinking 'night owl'
Wol Euler: I don't trust people who could read emotionally loaded books without crying.
Qt Core: mmm, reminishing about half a meter of shelves i think is wasted with Proust in my home ;-)
    Wol Euler: ooooh
    Qt Core: (never read him)
Eliza Madrigal: now can't imagine 'wasted with proust'.. gee... I feel I've been impoverished
Wol Euler: if you liked Proust, you'd probably enjoy "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace
Eliza Madrigal: (sorry to gush and remembers a friend tweeting that their least favorite word in existence is "gush")
Wol Euler: very different but quite similar
Eliza Madrigal: I've heard of that book quite often Wol... thank you for the reminder
Qt Core: :-) i have it on the bedtable, starting it tonight
Eliza Madrigal: You know I've not read much fiction in the last few years
    Wol Euler cheers.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Wol Euler: (to qt, not to eliza's not reading)
    Eliza Madrigal: haha, yes
Eliza Madrigal: I've been reading... lots...
Eliza Madrigal: but not fiction. It had lost a bit of flavor or something... hard to believe. Thing I'd just switched gears
    Wol Euler nods.
    Eliza Madrigal: *think
Wol Euler: life goes in phases, in tides.
Qt Core: i usually do fiction/nonfiction/fiction
Qt Core: with non fiction usually science
Wol Euler: go with the flow, as the fisherman said
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: Indeed
Eliza Madrigal: "follow the energy" -Pila
Eliza Madrigal: hm, or maybe rather "follow the chi" :)
Eliza Madrigal: Still, I'd like to know why when my gears switch I seem to lose access... even memory wise, to where I 'was'... an odd thing
Wol Euler: perhaps your memory is particularly context-determined?
Eliza Madrigal: I suppose its a bit like switching avs?
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: it certainly is like there are triggers... like I turn into a room which has a particular library
Eliza Madrigal: and another day it might be locked, maybe when I *most* feel I need it ... but kind of 'locked to self'
Eliza Madrigal: so much to learn about memory
Eliza Madrigal: Bye for now everyone :)
Wol Euler: bye eliza, take care
    Wol Euler: read well
    Darren Islar: bye eliza
    Qt Core: Bye Eliza
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: Hugs :) Thanks
    Darren Islar: oops, lossing someone
Wol Euler: well done, qt! twice in one evening
Darren Islar: oh, I only had half of the pavilion in sight
Wol Euler: the minimap is your friend :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: radar
Darren Islar: to abstract for me :-)
Darren Islar: use, it but only when needed
Wol Euler: well, I spent a lot of time on the prairie, so compass directions are natural to me. I think in those terms
    Darren Islar: ah
Qt Core: good to not sit in wron places if the world and its inhabitants is still rezzing
Darren Islar: well, I'm common to focus on what is right in front of me
Darren Islar: so sometimes I miss something :-)
Qt Core: in this the one of the new viewer is good as you can zoom in more than before
    Wol Euler: emerald too, qt
Wol Euler: and in emerald when you move your cursor over a spot, it tells you who that is and how far away they are
Darren Islar: you're not going to beat her QT :-)
Qt Core: but it has its defect, it is camera attached for the quote
    Wol Euler: :-PPPPP
Qt Core: ;-) haven't tried emerald... yet
Darren Islar: in a way this pavilion is just too big for me
Yakuzza Lethecus: good night everyone, before i fall asleep again :)
    Darren Islar: nite Yaku
    Qt Core: 'night Yaku
Darren Islar: we had a lot of fun with you again this afternoon :-)
Darren Islar said a bit late
    Wol Euler: :)
    Qt Core: :-)
    Qt Core: ty Wol
Darren Islar: ah, nice Wol, better for my camer position
Darren Islar: and in symmetrie again
    Wol Euler grins
Qt Core: wol and i seem to be the most obsessed with simmetry
    Wol Euler: :)
Darren Islar: simmetry (is that the way you write it)
Darren Islar: most of the time I miss that :-)
Darren Islar: but this time it was clear enough
    Wol Euler: symmetry
Qt Core: i sometimes would like to slap me for things like this, :-)
    Darren Islar: thanks :-) symmetry
Wol Euler: what, for being a geek?
Wol Euler: it's charming, and here in SL it is even common
Qt Core: like when i chose where to put away my shopping cart to decrease the uneveness (it is a weord) of the cart lines
    Darren Islar: :-)
Wol Euler: what, you mean some people don't think about that?
Darren Islar: ehhhh.......... (whispers) I don't
    Wol Euler: herhehehehhe
Qt Core: i think that always going shopping alone helps this silly behaviours ;-)
Wol Euler: are the bottles and jars in your fridge positioned so taht you can read all the labels without turning anything?
Darren Islar: but I suppose I will notice next time :-)
Darren Islar: and have a smile I suppose
Qt Core: that really make me ask ... don't everyone does it ? !
Wol Euler: you'll think of us, yes
Darren Islar: bottles and jars, lined up.........
Darren Islar: eh....... have no vision on that :-)
Qt Core: but then i have a desktop (the wooden one) that is a mess :-)
Darren Islar: I should put up Liza, I think she'd better understand what you mean
    Wol Euler: heh
Wol Euler: I fully understand that, there's a reason why Udge doesn't come to PaB more often.
    Darren Islar: :-)
Qt Core: (i'm still at different outfit for different ideas..... and the sweatered one would be better at this too ;-)
Darren Islar: well I guess, she is the one wearing the shoes
Qt Core: saturday i gave a new shot at the idea of an alt got even a decent name but then the idea to have to clothe him/her and shopping again.... stopped there
    Wol Euler: awwwwwww
Darren Islar: so we passed the name and now we need to deal with the clothing
    Darren Islar: him of her
Qt Core: then i still asked myself if i need one or i'm just following the crowd
    Darren Islar: :-)
Wol Euler: well, perhaps your alt would enjoy shoppintg!
Darren Islar: maybe you shouldjust try and find out
Darren Islar: maybe you stop halfway the process, maybe you start to like it
Darren Islar: but there is only one way to find out :-)
Qt Core: that would be so very strange
Wol Euler: or avoid the whole clothes problem by being an animal
Qt Core: or an object ;-)
    Darren Islar: why strange QT
    Wol Euler: indeed
Qt Core: as my rl me and my only av just hate it
    Darren Islar: ah
Wol Euler: RL me hated it too, Wol showed us how to do it :)
Darren Islar: but then why are you thinking about it?
Wol Euler: well, you don't have to shop either :) Your alt might be as simply dressed as you are, qt (forgive my saying it this way :))
Qt Core: even if not following the crowd, you ask yourself, if everybody do it something they may, sometimes, be right
    Wol Euler: :)
    Qt Core: np
Darren Islar: but you can talk about it or just do it and see what happens
Darren Islar: whatever happens, you'll get some kind of answer
    Wol Euler nods.
Qt Core: may have to try to rp it a little
Wol Euler: oh, your alt will be different enough on its own, if you let it have its own way :)
    Darren Islar: rp?
    Wol Euler: role play
Qt Core: role play, that is force
    Darren Islar: oh
Darren Islar: you seem to be arguing with yourself :-)
Wol Euler: alts aren't necessarily RP, though here we are getting into territory that started an argument recently
Darren Islar: like there are two QT's in the room
    Qt Core: only two ?
Darren Islar: maybe it would be nice if there really were :-)
Darren Islar: two that pops out this evening
    Qt Core: :-)
Darren Islar: but that is one of the fun things of alts
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Darren Islar: I had a date last night with a she who is actually a he
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Darren Islar: and me who is actually a she
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Darren Islar: that can only happen in sl :-)
Qt Core: match made in .... sl ?
Darren Islar: and it is so much fun
Wol Euler: SL proves that attraction is between minds
    Darren Islar: just happened
Wol Euler: I'm glad to hear it <3
Darren Islar: and aspects of body's, but as a playful thing
Darren Islar: smeimtes she notices the she in me and the other way around
Darren Islar: as a he I really look different at woman
    Wol Euler nods and smiles
Wol Euler: being Wol has made me much happier and more comfortable in my RL body
Qt Core: i barely notice av sex
Wol Euler: it's changed the way I see myself, and how I think the world sees me
Darren Islar: oh Darren has a big part in my healing process
    Darren Islar: right!
Darren Islar: as Darren I like to put my feet in the pool
Darren Islar: and I'm not at all interested in lining up jars
Darren Islar: as Liza I need to put something in the world
Darren Islar: she is more demanding
    Wol Euler grins
Darren Islar: Darren had shoes, but somehow I left them on the beach
Darren Islar: I don't know why, but it happens
    Wol Euler: :)
Darren Islar: it is fun watching that
Wol Euler: deeply symbolic of, er, something or other
Wol Euler: and a fascinating "natural" difference
    Darren Islar: probably
Darren Islar: as Daren I can feel that
Qt Core: Qt was shocked when learned he went around for months with shoes but without socks!
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: Qt, that is one of the first stages on the road to being fully embodied in SL
Wol Euler: when you start to really *notice* how you look here
Wol Euler: and to feel that it is *you* that looks like that
    Darren Islar: :-) QT hahahah
    Darren Islar: right
Qt Core: and i'm even planning on find a rl swater like my sl one for next winter ;-)
    Wol Euler: ha!
    Darren Islar: :-)
Wol Euler: I could hug you for that, qt, htat's wonderful
Qt Core: now if i only could download my av waisline...
    Qt Core: waistline
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: the RL sliders move so damned slowly
    Darren Islar: hahahh
Qt Core: well, i moved the belt one one hole thinner these days... even if only as i eta very little last week as i was ill ;-)
    Wol Euler cheers
    Darren Islar: :-)
Qt Core: that said i'm going to get ready for bed... that is putting a bookmark at page 1 of infinite jest ;-)
    Wol Euler: yay
Wol Euler: only 1022 more to go :)
Qt Core: the size is one of his bonus ;-)
Wol Euler: I read it twice last summer.
Wol Euler: finished it, thought about it for a few weeks, then started again :)
    Darren Islar: :-)
Qt Core: i rarely reread books, there are so many to read for a first time
Qt Core: and there were some books that i reread that was so different the second times, in a bad way
Qt Core: and plural singular coordination went out of the window...
    Wol Euler: huh
Darren Islar: I read Lord of the Rings 7 times
Darren Islar: in Englis and Dutch
    Wol Euler: :)
Darren Islar: and never reread books normally
Qt Core: that was not one of the sad cases ;-)
Darren Islar: I wouldn't read it now any more, since I came into contact with Buddhism :-)
    Darren Islar: :_)
Darren Islar: but didn't have an alternative in those days
Darren Islar: but still being a good book
    Wol Euler: why not, darren?
    Darren Islar: wy not what?
Wol Euler: read LOTR again after becoming a buddhist
Darren Islar: well, the atmosphere was very attracting to me
Darren Islar: all those secret things
    Darren Islar: the history
    Darren Islar: the elfish songs
Darren Islar: it resonated with me
Darren Islar: but I think I was looking for an answer to a call in myself
Darren Islar: and found that in buddhism
Darren Islar: and since then, I seem to have lost my intrest in a lot of things
Darren Islar: but have seen the movies of course !!!!! :-)
    Wol Euler: ah, interesting
Darren Islar: the one who wrote it
Darren Islar: didn't only invent a few characters
Darren Islar: he invented a whole world
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Darren Islar: with history and all
Darren Islar: and it reflects a lot of values in another way then daily life
Darren Islar: but buddhism is so much more
Darren Islar: and when I started to do tantra
Darren Islar: it was like I was coming home
Qt Core: so no more fancy hotels ;-)
    Darren Islar: :-)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Darren Islar: no only the 'real' thing
    Wol Euler: a nice comparison.
Darren Islar: happily buddhism has a lot of questiongs about that
Qt Core: ok, time to go
    Darren Islar: nite QT
Wol Euler: ciao qt, buona notte
Qt Core: bye Darren, Wol, nice extended session
    Qt Core: 'notte
Wol Euler: it was, thank you :)
Wol Euler: I should go home too, it's time for bed
Darren Islar: yes, and I think I've got somebody waiting for me
Darren Islar: see you well, sleep well
Wol Euler: goodnight darren, take care
