Yakuzza Lethecus: hey maude
DR42 Resident: Hello
Yakuzza Lethecus: good afternoon
DR42 Resident: I was wondering if anyone would show up.
Yakuzza Lethecus: when i rezzed at the meeting hall my first thought was the same
Yakuzza Lethecus: wol is travelling so we will be at least -1
DR42 Resident: I was here, but popped out to sklap a mini mania board.
DR42 Resident: slap*
Yakuzza Lethecus: what´s a mini mania board ?
DR42 Resident: If some number of people touch it, then one gets a prize. There is also a "Midnight Mania" where if enough people touch it before midnight, everyone gets the proze. There is a place that has nice textures, and they have such a board. So, I get 5 or 6 free textures a day for free.
Yakuzza Lethecus: that´s great if you like building in sl a little
DR42 Resident: pLUS, THEY HAVE A WEEKLY SAMPLE BOX WITH 15-20 TEXTURES.
DR42 Resident: I have started to experiment with non-mesh skirts. and other clothing. There are some things you can do with them that you cannot do with mesh.
Yakuzza Lethecus: reminds me of what i have had been to in sl with a friend from spain, they had a treasure with lindens that blew when enough ppl came and there were some freebies in the group
DR42 Resident: Xploders.
Yakuzza Lethecus: right
DR42 Resident: There used to be lots of them, enough that I could make 4-500 linden a day.
Yakuzza Lethecus: i saw you guys talking about the apod in one of the featured logs
Yakuzza Lethecus: so i just opened todays before when i saw you
DR42 Resident: Yea, I do it in batches, visit each week.
DR42 Resident: Nice picture today?
Yakuzza Lethecus: tropic of cancer, looks neat
DR42 Resident: Looks so SL.
Yakuzza Lethecus: i wonder if someone could make a shirt with the apod so having ,,new cloth" every day
Yakuzza Lethecus: it really does :)
--BELL--
DR42 Resident: Not that you wear them....
Yakuzza Lethecus: no
Yakuzza Lethecus: you canged yours quiet a lot
DR42 Resident: I have a lot of tee shirts
--BELL--
DR42 Resident: Well, thanks for the thought. Meds for it have been getting better and better. But, they wear off, so they don't want to start you on them too early. Only once the symptoms become unmanageable.

DR42 Resident thinks about how much bad music there was in the 80s. :)
Zen Arado: yeh that too Maude :)
Zen Arado: hope I am not playing it
Yakuzza Lethecus: i am often surprised of how good music was already in the pre 90th without all the computers and only some synthesis
Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: amazing they kept that since 1991
Zen Arado: I read that Prince was such a prolific songwriter the record companies stopped him releasing too much
Zen Arado: so lots of his music still to come
--BELL--
Zen Arado: in the earlt days of MTV they only played music videos apparently
DR42 Resident: Well, that was what MTV started as.
Zen Arado: and American artists hadn't made many
Zen Arado: yes
Zen Arado: so a lot of British groups who weren't that good got a lot of American airplay just because they had made videos
Zen Arado: :)

Zen Arado: The History of Rock
Zen Arado: fascinating

Zen Arado: but hope it comes up again
DR42 Resident: Rock? Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, the 50s.
Zen Arado: 1951 according to the course
DR42 Resident: Zen, if you go and sign up for part 1, you can get access to all the material, just not the quizes and tests.
