Eliza Madrigal sends Tura an IM too :)
    Tura Brezoianu: congrats Mick
Raffila Millgrove: great news on the new grandson Mic!  yay.
    Eliza Madrigal: Such lovely news
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): a new PaB member :)
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): what's his name?
    Mickorod Renard: no name
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): :-)
    Mickorod Renard: no 4
Eliza Madrigal grins... out of names
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Mick cubed
    Eliza Madrigal: too cute
Raffila Millgrove: you know I think the old Charlie Chan movies did that. son number four.  right?
Mickorod Renard: yeh, its a hard task,,like they only had 9 months to ponder it
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Honorable Son Number.... X.
    Raffila Millgrove: ah ty Bruce.
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): :)
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes the names you've chosen fly out the window when you see them
    Mickorod Renard: he he
Raffila Millgrove: so true.  my first girl looked nothing like the name I chose. i had to stay up all night rethinking a new one.
Riddle Sideways: "Four" is a good name
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): How about "X"?
Mickorod Renard: yes, its starting to appeal
    Eliza Madrigal: Cuatro
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Brand x
Raffila Millgrove: to me "Jessica" sounds dark.  "Gretchen" means little pearl and that's the colorng she has.  white hair .. very fair pink tone skin.
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Cuatro is cool.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): two cuatros make an ottavio
    Mickorod Renard: he he
Eliza Madrigal: oh, very nice Raffi
Eliza Madrigal: went through same with oldest...big eyes needed an 'ah' in the name
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: sigh
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): :)
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Interesting how we associate sounds with appearance

Thinking of a Book to Read

Mickorod Renard: almost as hard as thinking of a book to read
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): like colours
Riddle Sideways: ....   great shift mick
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Okay, hint taken. Time to start?
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Yes, we were discussing th possibility of another book group earlier - in my session this afternoon.
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): :-)
Eliza Madrigal: Did you come up with some ideas?
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): No we didn't
Mickorod Renard: frivolous personal development sounds good to me
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): I did tell them that I was reading Walter Isaacson's book on Leonardo da Vinci, though
Eliza Madrigal: Ohhh, that has got to be a tome
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) shouts: (Listening to it actually)
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): I heard so-so reviews on that ... do you like it?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): but an inspiration
    Eliza Madrigal: ah
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) shouts: I think it is absolutely wonderful
    Shouting Dragon
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) shouts: And I wish I could stop shouting
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): dont press the ctl key
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): I'm Not pressing the control key
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): not now
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): :-)
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): :)
Eliza Madrigal: somehow fixed it :)
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) shouts: Actually I'm talking in Dragon. . . And just clicking the enter key
Eliza Madrigal: you're using your dragon voice
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): ah - it's the darn dragon
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) shouts: That's the only key I'm clicking
Riddle Sideways: well stop shouting at the dragon in the room
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): focus on the elephant
Mickorod Renard: I very much enjoyed adam and eve but felt afterwards that it hadnt contributed to my development
Raffila Millgrove: ah that explains everything I have to remember that for rl.  I keep raising my voice on the phone when I cannot understand people. It doesn't help but I seem to do it anyway.
Mickorod Renard: whereas maxines had given insight that I could use
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): What kind of development would you like Mick?
Mickorod Renard: I dont mind,,as long as it has left a purpose
Eliza Madrigal felt enriched by the process together and it made me acutely aware of how deep the influence of the story goes, how far it reaches
Raffila Millgrove: I liked Maxine's book because it opened door after door. didn't it.  Kept learning new things all the way thru it.
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): you might now realize how a book contributes to your development right away
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I find no matter how much I learn, I forget at least half but that half just goes into a compost of ideas and experience and knowledge
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): that is often hard to excavate
Mickorod Renard: adam and eve was very informative and I am glad we did it..
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): :)
    Mickorod Renard: same here Aph,,
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) ponders recommending Aldous Huxley's "The Perennial Philosophy...."
Riddle Sideways: wondering what to grow with all this compost
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): If I am able to use the knowledge, it has a deeper impression
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): (especially to Mick)
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): ideas Mick
    Mickorod Renard: not really
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Sometimes new ideas illuminates old ones - nuni ahas
Mickorod Renard: do we all have common goals?
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Wol!!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Wol :)
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): hi Wol :)
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Wol
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Hey Wolli
    Tura Brezoianu: hi Wol
    San (Santoshima): hello Wol
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Hi, Wol!
    Riddle Sideways: hi woL
Wol Euler: evening all! sorry I'm late
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): and last
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Now we can start!
    Wol Euler: awwwwwww
Eliza Madrigal: but you're here :)
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): YAYYYY!
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): yayy
Riddle Sideways: did you bring any good books?
Eliza Madrigal: we've been talking about book discussion ideas a bit so far
    Wol Euler: oh :)
Wol Euler: well I have a list of several actually :)
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): I did not realize that the perennial philosophy is available for free online
Mickorod Renard: I can appreciate Bruces suggestion re Huxley..but often we have turned over the same stones..its me thats slow to grasp
Wol Euler: what direction are we leaning?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): what is on your list Wol?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): none in particular
Wol Euler: fiction mostly, which is why I ask :)
    San (Santoshima): perfect!
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): :)
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): :)
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): nice
Wol Euler: because it occurred that something more serious might be intended
Mickorod Renard: much fiction is based on fact
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Eliza Madrigal: something we can read together
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): and the other way round
Mickorod Renard: some personal how to hypnotize..or predict lotto numbers
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, fictional personal mental development
    Eliza Madrigal grins
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): :)
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) listens. . .  and repeats the URL for Huxley's book
    Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Bruce
    San (Santoshima): ty
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): what is it about Bruce. Can you summarize?
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): yw, just in case anyone wants to read it independently.
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): It is the core of mysticism -- in all spiritual traditions.
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): a classic.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Was Huxley a mystic?
Mickorod Renard: actually it sounding alluring
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): I do believe that Huxley considered himself a mystic -- I'm sure that his wife did.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Are we all interested in mysticism?
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): But did not mean to railroad the meeting.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I became interested when reading Rumi's poetry
Eliza Madrigal: We need to make sure that Agatha is still hosting Mondays. I neglected to ask when she popped into art workshop this week
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Yes, Rumi is another. . .  and Hafiz.
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): what fiction books are your reading Wol?
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) listens.
Wol Euler: at the moment "station eleven", which is hard to even tell the direction of without getting into spoilers, because the changes of direction are part of the story
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): who wrote it?
Wol Euler: it's hard work, because it's post-apocalyptic and that is never fun; but it isn't gory
Mickorod Renard: is it a cold war spy?
    Mickorod Renard: ah ok
    Wol Euler: no
Wol Euler: set in our present and a near future
    Wol Euler: thank you
Mickorod Renard: is it not depressing?
Wol Euler: it has changed my expectation of what it was going to be about four times now as I read :)
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): sounds like Margaret Atwood's novels
Wol Euler: Mick, oddly enough it is not (yet)
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Riddle Sideways: looking up some of the Solar Punk novels
Wol Euler: there is a similarity to the Maddaddam trilogy, but also a lot of differences
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
San (Santoshima): are we starting a list of possible fictions titles to explore?
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Looks interesting
San (Santoshima) whispers: I will add to it:
San (Santoshima): Afterglow (a dog memoir) by Eileen Myles
Wol Euler: or if we want some more purely escapist stuff: "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman
Tura Brezoianu: For those who want spoilers, there's a wikipedia article summarising the whole plot:
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Actually, San, were discussing the possibility of having another book discussion group, and renaming a few possibilities.
San (Santoshima): i have been sitting here, yes i know, burce
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): kk.
San (Santoshima): which is why i add my suggested title
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Great. Yhey can be summarized at the end of the wiki
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): My Dragon is slow to comprehend . . . But quick to shout.
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): or not.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    San (Santoshima): :)
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): :)
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): He seems to change his moods
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Temperamental
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): an emotionally labile dragon
    Wol Euler: heheh
Eliza Madrigal: Shall we set aside the books for now, and pick it up again toward the end of session?
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) listens.
Mickorod Renard: I have a que of books..but one that some folk might llike is one called ' its all about Treo'
Wol Euler: eliza, have you mentioned Amor Towles yet?
Eliza Madrigal: I'll gather all the titles for consideration
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Amor Towles?
Raffila Millgrove: I have a suggestion of a book that explains genetics very clearly/easy written by a social scientist who points how how average person doesn't understand how it works and illogically assigns too much emphasis on genetic profiles.  Really changed my understnading too of GMO food.
Eliza Madrigal: I haven't :) have just been listening
    Eliza Madrigal: Please do
Raffila Millgrove: can i add that later as I cannot recall title author of course.
Wol Euler: shall i or you`?
    San (Santoshima): sure
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): sure Raffi
    Eliza Madrigal: interesting too
    Wol Euler nods to Raffi
Eliza Madrigal: Wol, please do describe
Mickorod Renard: yes, genetics or dna sounds interesting
Wol Euler: over christmas Eliza and I both read (separately, unknowingly) the same book: "A Gentleman in Moscow" by Amor Towles
Mickorod Renard: the Treo I mentioned is about  a brave dog
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): what did you both think of it?
Eliza Madrigal: liked it so much
Wol Euler: excellent! funny, human, moving, encouraging
Raffila Millgrove: points out that more scientists are ok with GMO food as basically it's lab genetic modifying, but historicaly we've done genetic mod on most of our food sources--wheat for exapmple from earliest times and say that more scientsts believe GMO is ok than believe in climate change!
Eliza Madrigal: could not have waited for everyone though :)
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): its been a best seller for a while and a book club fav I heard
    Wol Euler: deservedly IMO :)
Raffila Millgrove: oh i read Gentleman and so did my club's book group. everyone likes it.
Eliza Madrigal: really carries you along
Wol Euler: so ... probably too many of us know it for that to be a good book for this group
Mickorod Renard: if a large percentage have read it it may defeat the object
Raffila Millgrove: every book group in my area seems to have read it.
    Wol Euler: exactly, mick
Eliza Madrigal: it was the kick I needed to finally read War and Peace too, tangentially
Eliza Madrigal is not suggesting we do that
    Wol Euler smiles.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): That would take us the next 10 years
Mickorod Renard: see, I told you finding a kids name is easier
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): :)
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): :)
    Raffila Millgrove: lol
Eliza Madrigal: maybe until we choose the next book we should discuss books in general on Monday sessions
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Good idea!
Eliza Madrigal: share and banter until one says DING I'M IT
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): nice idea Eliza
    Wol Euler nods.
Mickorod Renard: but for any dog lovers, try 'its all about Treo"
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): :)
Eliza Madrigal: thanks Mick :) two doggie books recommended
    Mickorod Renard: by dave heyhoe

Raffila Millgrove: maybe we should pick out your grandson's new name instead. When I was waiting for my grandson, the kids diddled about so much on his name.. I named him myself.  I still call him my name.  It's a dj name so it's cool, he can use it later if he likes it.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Dogs love TREEos
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Wol Euler: hehehe
    Mickorod Renard: :)
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): sorry
    Eliza Madrigal: So funny :)
    Mickorod Renard: ty Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: Okay so we have a few items to go through... just check in on
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): kk
Eliza Madrigal: The next party meeting is next weekend, Aph?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Yes- the 25th at 11:30
Mickorod Renard: how big is huxleys?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Cal has sent out the Poetry event invitation
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): 11:30 SLT?
Mickorod Renard: we could do it while we make our mind up
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I hope people volunteer
Raffila Millgrove: it was very nicely written too (the poetry invite)
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Good :-)
Eliza Madrigal: I'd like to participate... guidelines are very loose?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I'm glad Cal is on board
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): yes- very loose
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): you can choose one written by someone else if you like
    Eliza Madrigal: great, ty
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): If it fits with the theme of the future all the better
    Eliza Madrigal: great
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): or the past for that matter...:-)
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I'm hoping it will bring in involvement from some Pabbers we haven't seen for a while like Cat
Eliza Madrigal: that's always a good feeling
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) nods.
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Will the poetry read be in voice?
    Art Projects
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I've been having fun playing with scripts for the Art Piece
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): (I FINALLY got my voice to work!)
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): It will be both Bruce
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): ahhh, ty.
Eliza Madrigal: On Monday, quite a few of us got to play with/begin our art projects with Bleu's help. The project is not as daunting as it seems!
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): So much fun
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): nice Aph ... is everyone playing with scripts?
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Looks around
San (Santoshima): nice pieces by Bleu in the gallery atm
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I dont know
Eliza Madrigal: I stayed a bit after folks left on Monday, but haven't gotten back to it yet
Mickorod Renard: I must go look
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): ty San ... there to give ideas
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I always learn something new in these exhibits
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): It's a useful sandbox
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): btw, I've listed our gallery with "Art Galleries in SL"
Eliza Madrigal: there seems time... would you be willing to have another sandbox time, Bleu?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I have returned a couple of times
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): sure Eliza
San (Santoshima): great idea, Bleu, the listing
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Is it possible to have a sandbox with a grid?
    Eliza Madrigal: nice
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): there's a sign out front of the gallery so visitors can give us 5 stars :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): also available by IM if anyone needs help :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    99 Days in 30 Days
Eliza Madrigal looks into mind for other items
Eliza Madrigal: I've dropped the idea of a 99 Days type thing for now
Eliza Madrigal: although thanks for your response Aph
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I liked that process
Eliza Madrigal: for those of us who use the wiki a lot it probably makes more sense
Eliza Madrigal: nice to find various ways of connecting
    Tura Brezoianu: What's 99 Days?
Eliza Madrigal: Wol, you're here! Want to describe?
    Wol Euler smiles.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Yes- it was Wol's idea, wasn't it?
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) listens intently.
Wol Euler: well, I introduced it from elsewhere
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): (and nostalgically)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Wol Euler: for 99 days, every day, we put up a page on the wiki
    Mickorod Renard: all ears
Wol Euler: and everyone who wishes writes something as a comment to that day
Wol Euler: how they felt, what they did, something they read or heard or thought
Riddle Sideways: didn't it come from 99 bottles of beer on the wall?
Wol Euler: as a kind of memorial of process
Wol Euler: the idea being to encourage us to sit/read/think/meditate for 99 consecutive days
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): we also added art work...
Eliza Madrigal: there have been a few forms
Wol Euler: whatever was relevant and in their conscousness for that day
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) nods. . .  and could use it to change habits. . . .
    Wol Euler: exactly
Raffila Millgrove: are we reinstating it then? the 99 day?
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray) nods.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): and observe ourselves over a period of 3 months
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Someone needs to set it up and manage it I guess
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): I think it's a great idea to start the 99 days again.
Raffila Millgrove: I remember reading it for a while. altho i did't post. I'd like to try it.
Wol Euler: how many days until April 1?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): looks at Wol
Wol Euler: probably too close already
Eliza Madrigal: I'd thought of doing something like that, leading to April's party, with the little breaths exercise in Pema's blog article he sent... but then thought, maybe it isn't so natural for us now... am not sure
Wol Euler: yes, definitely too close
    Eliza Madrigal:
    Tura Brezoianu: about 40
Raffila Millgrove: maybe we could make it the 40 day project?
Eliza Madrigal: 3 breaths for 30 days could work
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): we celebrate on April 14 & 15
Eliza Madrigal: or whatever anyone chose
Raffila Millgrove: yes that's good too.
Wol Euler: it's an indication of what my life is like right now that I genuinely had no idea ... :/
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Tura Brezoianu: hm, now till meetup almost coincides with Lent
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Nods
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'm happy to make the pages every day, if several of us do want to participate
San (Santoshima): well, too close to complete it by partytime, but fine to continue with the celebration marking about halfway point.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Our birthday will be celebrated a week from Easter
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): sure- we can have another celebration at the end of 99 days!
Raffila Millgrove: there's 10 of us here today.  how many would do it then if we pick 40 or 30 days or siimilar?
Riddle Sideways: yes, why would 99 have to end on anniversery
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I would
San (Santoshima): 30 days is more manageable
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): nods
    Riddle Sideways: nods
Mickorod Renard: I doubt I would
Eliza Madrigal: I think the last few times several dropped before 99
Eliza Madrigal: so maybe a small bite is better :)
Raffila Millgrove: i think 30 goes good to see how many like it. then we could pause and do a 99 dayer.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): start on March 14?
    Wol Euler nods.
San (Santoshima): and could be consecutively running, if interest to continue
    Eliza Madrigal: that sounds good
Eliza Madrigal: So we'd begin March 15?  [ I didn't see Aph's date when I wrote this, which I think is better]
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): sure
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): That's a Thursday
Eliza Madrigal: OK, will keep an eye
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks!
Raffila Millgrove: ok. i will go mark my calendar than.  ty Eliza.
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Thanks Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Other items today? ::points to open floor:::
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I'll tell Druth who is, btw, keeping the PsB calendar in the wiki
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): :)
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): PaB
Eliza Madrigal: yes, appreciate Druth telling me that I'd not erased GMs on google calendar as I thought! So no one showed at 11:30 >whew<
    Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): :)

San (Santoshima): There are spaces open on the WG, could that be an item?
    Eliza Madrigal: Sure!
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander): yes!
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): yes
San (Santoshima): it would be good if each person as they are able take a turn on the WG.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): New blood wold be great
San (Santoshima): that is a suggestion
San (Santoshima): and open to discussion
    Eliza Madrigal agrees
San (Santoshima): it's a great group, low effort required
    San (Santoshima): and enjoyable
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): we're meeting once every other month
Eliza Madrigal: Would someone like to describe what WG does?
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): listens .... :)
    San (Santoshima): !
Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Finds wrinkles and tries to iron them out.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): The WG oversees the issues and events that effect all of Pabbers
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): like the anniversary or the fees
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): We rarely meet for more than an hour
    Bleu (Bleu Oleander):
San (Santoshima): thanks, Bleu and Aph
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): thanks Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: thanks, and thanks to current WG!
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): Stevenaia is the chair
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): and has been for many years
Eliza Madrigal aspires to be as patient as Stevenaia
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain) feels a bit distracted. Her cats are chasing each other round the room
Eliza Madrigal: We're at the end of session, but did anyone think of more books?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

    Mickorod Renard: any suggestions Bleu?
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): You are on top of so many books Bleu!
    Mickorod Renard: art is good
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): reading a great new novel, "Asymmetry"
    Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): oh?
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): also reading a new translation of "the Odyssey" ... first done by a woman
Wol Euler: oh yes, I'd be interested in that bleu
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): I wonder how it differs from the other translations?
Wol Euler: as a candidate book
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): Steven Pinker's new book is great so far, "Enlightenment Now"
Eliza Madrigal is interested in anything along sufi lines @ Tura, and those both sound great too, Bleu

Bruce (Bruce Mowbray): Time to scrape up supper.
    Eliza Madrigal waves
Bleu (Bleu Oleander): take care all
Raffila Millgrove: you know when Adams had that fab exibit.. on the Chinese poem that is so old, the series of poems about the woman captured for ransom..and taken to far North area of China.. I was so taken by the translation.  It seemed for something done in the 1970's incredibly contemporary. Good lesson in how much translation can affect one.
Aph (Aphrodite Macbain): galangal and kaffir lime leaves :-)
Mickorod Renard: I am interested in suffi and spiritual
Eliza Madrigal: Night Wol, sleep well

    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Raffila Millgrove: I like all his exhbitis but that one was personally ... so amazing. his choices of illustations and the poems.
