Abundance

The theme for today is "A Day in the Sun"
Otherwise known as Abundance.

It is the height of summer.
The sun's power is at its maximum.
99 in the shade!

Plants can grow at an amazing rate
if they receive enough water.
Animals find shady, breezy ridges
to sleep during the heat of day.

What are some hidden possibilities of this situation?
At times like this,
natural energy is abundant
and excess.

Even the sleeping creatures of spirit
seem ready to come out
for a day in the sun.

We might sense them stirring.
They know everything else
is well-supplied with energy.

We creatures of light
may create tempting open spaces
for them to emerge

Or may sleep in the shade
near the entrance to their caves
and dream alertly for an invitation
to visit their hidden realms.

It's interesting that there is an opening
to underworld figures and intelligences
at the maximum  of summer
as well as during the dark quiet time of winter.
