The theme for today is "wild places"
People have an attraction to wild and natural places
Natural settings, open and expansive
There's wilderness, but "nature" appears anywhere it can
even in the most human managed environment
Natural paces seem beautifully ordered and chaotic at the same time
What is it about such places?
Another time we talked about protecting the heart
Maybe there are wild places within the human heart that need to be protected
That we need to visit carefully
and not interfere or impose our ideas and concepts about what "should" be
to let them be just what they are
where wild parts of us need to build their nests in secret
where they are hidden and alert
and hatch their eggs, or sprout and grow, at the right times
What makes it possible to become aware of such places?
To trust that they can do all the things they need to do naturally?
To trust what lives within those places, or what may emerge from them?
Where and how do you experience wild or natural places in your world or within yourself?
Do we "learn" from them? Or experience them in some other way?
Do you have practices or rituals or habits that keep you connected with them?
Where is "wild" happening in your life?
Where is it around, and in you, right now?
Let's sit with this for a while and see what can hatch.
