Eliza is the minute taker for July

    2010.07.06 14:00 Working Group Meeting

    0) A: done/ B: At time of meeting, theme session with Yakuzza and Genesis was uncertain, but is now in movement to take place during an upcoming Thursday 1PM session

    1) Eos is now the new WG Chair! ::: streamers::: balloons::::: Everyone agrees he will do wonderfully/calm voice.

    2) Eliza will suggest guardians to the group, on behalf of WG

    3) WIKI: --In process of organizing information about small kira wikis- gathering info
and administrative passwords. Some are the same type of wiki= easy, but those that are not the same are more difficult, and new/empty wikis will need to be copied by hand.

Storm mentions he here (passwords?) that there is information he needs in dealing with donations also.

--Short wiki outage a few days ago in PaB (15 minutes). Do not know why, slow memory leak or bloating perhaps. Tuned it up.

SS "Does data get misplaced when this happens?"
Cal: "Not at all, slower, and can't access, but nothing is lost."
SS: "It was not down for maintainance?"
    Cal: "No"

Eos: "May be bugs in the wiki software?"
    Storm and Cal: "Yes, maybe."
Storm: "We can do forced shutdowns once a day but someone
may lose their edits in that process."
Cal: "If this doesn't happen often, and it hasn't happened otherwise
in all these weeks, it seems sufficient to just address it then rather than
    to look for the source."

Discussion about shutting down for regularly scheduled shut-down times and if Fael might be able to write a program, but manual may be more efficient.

Eos: "That is still assuming we know the cause."
Cal: "May be unusual events... bloats perhaps when buggy software."
Eos: "Known behavior of software perhaps someone has written about it."

Discussion of windows NT/Unix requiring reboot every day to clean up memory
Storm "It's ugly but it works!"

Eos: "Will leave to Cal and to Fael to determine in terms of moving various... can have multiple installations working on the same software." (Many details under the same roof)

Mambo (?) will have to be installed

    4) Art as Being: a new project in the works [ Notes taken by Eos in Skype text]

photographic entry, so can use our display / construct or find an existing puzzle in SL to illuminate a theme, on relationship between Being and Time/ refer to Eliza's theme session on Time and Being / puzzle as metaphor for trying to figure out rel between being and time
: combine sculpture piece and texture piece: allow texture on sculpture and photograph it or find existing puzzle piece in SL and photo it
: common areas can have 120 prims; each has 4 plots around it; plotholders to talk to each other re common space
: could be layers of textures on prims/ 17 prims
Bleu:entry itself is a photograph (texture); could include LM so piece could be experienced/

ACTION: Mid-August to have exhibits installed, then a session a week later on August 16th (Eliza's typist's birthday and here we find out that Eos and Storm have dates in the vicinity as well).

    Eos Amaterasu: Being Puzzled

    Sophia Sharon: http://wiki.playasbeing.org/PaB_Chronicles/The_Chapter_20%3a_Summer_2010/A._June_2010
SophiaSharon has composite shot of previous exhibit. Everyone is righly IMPRESSED with the detail work and care she has put into making sure not to tamper too much with others' visions, with the 'order' of the pieces, etc! She expresses that she worked on it in the middle of the night. Eos takes the note:

[7/6/2010 5:39:05 PM] Eos Amaterasu: SS skulking around in the middle of the night....
    [7/6/2010 5:39:12 PM] ElizaMadrigal: giggles

Sharon's work may make a wonderful 'permanent' display in Square area.

    Jumped to 6)

NS Retreat, August 1-7. 8 people but not sure about Mick.

Environment makes a huge difference, and this has the potential to be a very special setting/natural setting. Eos has visited and feels that APAPB is an appropriate focus.

FL retreat in Jan or possibly San Francisco again.

    7) A. "what does PaB mean to you" : July 15 for that Theme session with Calvino and Sharon

    B. Eliza: idea to have theme sessions that play with intentional story lines, build a story line by line....? (as has happened spontaneously during a few sessions already and was much enjoyed)
In regular session, or in pub? TBD.

Eos: PaB sessions have a quality/echo of self-awareness, artistry. Knowing about logging brings attention, reminding of Bead Game perhaps... a multifasceted quality. Brings attention to the shape of the session

ACTION: Eliza will bring it up in the group and begin to gather ideas/suggestions to schedule/ then communicate re email.

    5) Beginning discussion of formation of new WG: What are the specializations still needed? What are the potentials? Volunteers to chair will be needed. What is the policy/process? Still forming.

Eos: Inworld growing further as in a Art as Being and voice initiatives, etc.

Continuity seems to be the point

Should have a clue well before October.
