This week's meeting was attended by Bleu, Calvino, Eliza, Eos, and Storm. Sharon was unable to attend but sent comments on the agenda through email.
-Eliza is minute taker for July

0. Email:
Sharon is now helping with the Time Sessions Wiki and by the time of the meeting has sent information and a request for further assistance, to those participating. She is also interested in "Who Owns Our Words."
01. Bleu has technical question of storm re: archiving current exhibit images:
-Storm will put into rotating image slide show/ Bleu will request that guardians send him the original textures with "full permissions" (Right Click in inventory and hit checkboxes)
02. Nova Scotia Retreat - Looks to be 7 participants
1.Guardian Candidates:
-One guardian nominated no longer in SL
-Current guardian nominated to be invited by Thursday
-One possible 'upcoming' canditate mentioned
2. Theme Sessions:
-Art of Being theme session August 16th for new project
-Thursday theme session upcoming
* Bad to stop at the end * ;-)
-Feedback on recent theme session "What Does PlayasBeing Mean to You?" was that
guardians shared personal feelings/ Desire for material for frame wiki/vision remains.
-Eos comments on thoughtful bolding of sentences in the chat log from session done by Cal.
-Discussion of community ties continues with Eos's idea of the 9 second stop application/ multiple
ways of connection.
-Mention of 'brilliant' google slideshow about weak ties and facebook passed along by mark and storm in twitter

3. Server Status:
A. Wiki down
-Calvino describes the wiki having a memory-full spike which brought it down
-Fael's removal of "recent changes" from the front page a big improvement to loading speed
-"Should all guardians email Fael when the wiki is down?" (concerns not to bombard)
-Fael and Cal feel that better logging of the issue would be useful/ there is a monitor in place / Storm suggests off-site/separate machine watch dog would be helpful, that would confirm that it can or cannot see/access page periodically.
B. Server Migration
-Eos reminds: "Critical path issue is to prioritize sites on Mindtouch software being moved under same host software that will handle multiple sites/ Gaya identified several MT wikis
C. Wiki Organization
-Cal has sent out requests for imput on wiki design and has gotten virtually no feedback, therefore will begin making changes and commentary will follow. Possibly a little more chaotic.
-Eos expresses that the one change he was very hopeful for, has been made with the wiki switch: private pages for coordination of specific events like retreats can now be created, allowing in just a few members, therefore things like phone numbers and other 'personal' information can be shared/ New retreat page for instance shows parent page, with invisible child :)
-Eliza asked if it was known whether Sylectra is working with the pictures currently
4. Technical Possibility and Implications of Such
-Not to be part of the way things work without consensus/ Not for regular sessions but room to discuss other circumstances
-Commentary that conversation in pavillion is for many layers and levels of groups:
guardians & visitors present/ guardians & visitors absent/ world at large presently/ world at large years down the road
Leads into next item:
5. "Who Owns Our Words"
-Mention of issues in SL in general and inability to coordinate with open platforms re digital rights
-Comes into play when money is to be made/ non-issue otherwise/ free-domain
-Eos brings forth idea of Creative Commons License
Should we provide a default creative commons license (such as Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike)?
Permissions such as
*Can use
*Can use but must attribute
*Rights you receive are the rights you forward
Conversation & concept to be brought to Kira Board as well, as Kira is legal entity
-Storm mentions that Wiki is under license in this way
-Eos and Storm post links to photos they has posted with license agreements:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DenverTechCenter.jpg
-Interesting to think in terms of "Group Permissions" and Eos wonders if this has come up in salon and community arts projects/ all agree that it seems to have implications there also
-Cal has no specific thoughts/concerns about this but would like to "think ahead" about the chat log database and its uses in scientific research, etc.
-Eliza asks for elaboration on "Share Alike"/ Eos expresses "If I give you rights to use something I have created, then you can use can use it and also pass it on, but you can only pass it on with the same level of generosity/permission (*with attribute, for instance) that I showed when sharing."
-Legal 'pay it forward'
Wow... We got through the whole agenda!
Eos asks: "Is there anything else someone would like to bring up?"
6. The next Working Group
-What are our thoughts about the next phase? Agreement that as Eos expressed last meeting, enriching and stirring the community vitalization that has been occuring naturally (art as being/voice session/time sessions/continuing chronicles etc) seems key, and Bleu feels that being part of things in this way gives a positive energy/sense of ownership, also asks if there are 'term limits' with a bit of a wink.
-Eos describes that various members have made commitments but that there isn't a set rotation structure in place, one of the things to decide
-Thoughts on future membership are that it is important to have people who "work that way."
This leads into discussion of Guardian Sessions
7. Guardian Sessions
-Expression that guardian sessions fall at an inconvenient time and do not always offer something more productive or very different from normal PaB sessions... that early hopes were for both work and play, in the sense that guardian themes including 'behind the scenes' business could and should be discussed... somewhat of a meeting place between regular sessions/email and the Working Group.
-Discussion takes place around whether the community as a whole would like for the guardian sessions to be structured and how to balance both desires.
Action: Decision is made to revitalize "topics"
Action: Calvino will make a page **where all guardians can suggest topics for discussion** in the upcoming guardian session, and Eliza will give a link to that page when sending the announcement each week. The suggestion will be made that guardians take a glance at the page to have a general idea of things to be discussed, but that the meetings will not be 'strict' in the sense of an agenda. The topics will be along the lines of "prompts" to encourage participation and cultivation of the community.
-Eliza expresses some concern about opening more tabs to maintain, and throws out the possibility of the page being a blank slate that might change week to week, and other suggest more of a mosaic, with suggestions being added at the top of the page.
