Weddings

Korel Laloix: And to make a long story short, we had a talk and wanted to make thing permenanting.. So we had a Civil Union done.. smiles

Korel Laloix: We'll have a big church thing next summer. But for most intents and purpose.. we're married... lol

Korel Laloix: Not had the honeymoon yet... Sama's job is just killing her time. Once her new office opens, we will get some good time off.
Korel Laloix: But I used up most of my time off with other things anyway.

Gardens

Aphrodite Macbain: We were talking about gardens and what they mean to us....do you have a garden Bleu, Bruce? Are u planning one?
Bleu Oleander: not really ... but have in the past
Aphrodite Macbain: Arizona must be a hot dry place to grow things.
Bleu Oleander: yes

druth Vlodovic: my rhubarb and blueberries are coming in nicely, gives an odd sense of accomplishment since I mainly care for them by leaving them alone

Qt Core: thinking about the responsibilities and work a garden, (vegetables or not) demands, almost surely even more than one or more pet

Bleu Oleander: not sure about that ;)
Aphrodite Macbain: some hardy plants seem to do well on their own like rosemary and lavender
Qt Core: especially the vegetable ones need work

Aphrodite Macbain: there are some plants in SL that grow when watered....
druth Vlodovic: it is nice to have care of living things though
Qt Core: where i lived until 9 we had a big vegetable garden and many fruit trees too, every good weather day there was something to do (mostly for my parents) but i was dragged around to help
Aphrodite Macbain: You didn't like gardening?
Qt Core: so that may have made me dislike it someway, even if i think about them with nostalgia
Aphrodite Macbain: Nothing like picking your own veggies
Qt Core: not at all
Wol Euler: food from the garden (or the farm) does taste better
Aphrodite Macbain: While I was in Tuscany the fresh lettuce, tomatoes and asparagus were out of this world. So much TASTE!
Qt Core: yes i know i remember wonderful apricots and figs (between other fruit too)
Korel Laloix: For me, the act of gardening was probably the most rewarding.. but cooking with it is wonderful.
Aphrodite Macbain: cooking with herbs from the garden
Aphrodite Macbain: going outside and clipping a few leaves of oregano or basil...

Bruce Mowbray: Only a few coleus this year... in planters beside the entry way.
Korel Laloix: Something about cooking something and thinking.. oh.. some fresh tarragon would go great in this, and being able to just walk outside and get it.
