Her story, and how she came to be....

Once upon a time, there was a bloke named Ouphrontis. He called himself this because it is Greek for ‘I don’t care’, and that’s basically what he was: a sad, miserable old git with no friends who only ever left the house to go to work or go shopping.  One day, while web surfing (being a saddo he did a lot of this), he was going through a Google image search (no, NOT for porn!) when he happened to stumble across a very interesting image. The picture in question related to something called 'Second Life', and involved the use of a strange currency referred to as L$.  Ouphrontis had never heard of either, and wondered what this could possibly be about.
Delving deeper into the vast information matrix of his beloved internet, Ouph quickly discovered that SL was in fact a version of 'The Simms' using real people instead of AI.  'Wow' he thought 'what an interesting concept.  Maybe I should take a closer look.'  And that is precisely what he proceeded to do.

At the Avatar creation screen, he was confronted by a somewhat non-descript array of noobs.  The male ones in particular were horrendously uninspiring.  One female av however caught his eye: a wannabe juvenille-deliquent
looking type in t-shirt, jeans and a beanie hat.  Having spent many (long) hours being Lara Croft, Ouph was suddenly struck by an inspired and intriguing notion- 'Why not be a GIRL? After all, I'll probably delete the bloody thing after a couple of hours anyway.'

    Agatha Macbeth: Yeah, like!
Ouphrontis: Be quiet Agatha, who's telling this, you or me?
    Agatha Macbeth sulks
Ouphrontis: (Can't keep her nose out- typical woman!)

Anyway, where was I?  Ah yes....

Having chosen his Av, Ouph now needed a name.  He was struck by the resemblance of the Av to a girl he knew  in real life (and was actually rather fond of), whose initials were A.M.  Rather than using the girl's actual name (Angie) however, he preferred to employ a double word-pun of sorts (for this was the way his mind worked).  He knew  'Agatha' is greek for 'good girl' and that a gatha is a zoroastrian hymn, ergo: Agatha.  So far, so good.  The list of available second names beginning with M did not impress, however, and it took three (or was it four?) retries before up popped one Ouph simply could not turn down: his favourite Shakespeare play- Macbeth!
'Agatha Macbeth' thought Ouph, 'I like it!'  And so it was.

Agatha duly materialised with lots of other dickhea... er, noobs on some strange island where all the girls seemed to wear pink polka-dot dresses.  Weird.  After several days of fiddling around, getting used to the viewer, trying out chat, messing around with the appearances, she finally felt ready to take the plunge and hit the mainland.  She did so at a place called Hanja Welcome Area, and, skirting around the main area where everybody seemed to be swearing loudly at each other in voice, took off Northwards.  After a fairly lengthy flight, she arrived in a lovely garden surrounded by sakura blossoms called the 'Kuan Yin Terraces'  which seemed to have been built by someone named Storm Nordwind, and sat listening contentedly to the birdsong and reading the notecards that the nearby buildings gave to her.  'Wow' thought Agatha, 'I wonder if all SL is like this?'  After nosing around a while longer, and checking out an astronomocal observatory built by same aforementioned Mr Nordwind, she chanced to land upon the roof of a strange, multi-tiered pagoda-like structure in which a number of people were sitting.

The rest, as they say dear friends, is (PaB) history....
