Tuesday sim restarts
[07:00] Riddle Sideways: morning, wait a couple minutes for the sim to restart
[07:01] Adams Rubble: yikes
[07:01] Riddle Sideways: well I meant, Good Morning Adams :)
[07:03] Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
[07:07] Riddle Sideways: waiting for the world to reform
[07:08] Adams Rubble: beware all ye who enter here
[07:08] Riddle Sideways: an empty pit with walls of flaming red in the dark night
[07:09] Riddle Sideways: taking tentative steps onto the new land
[07:10] Riddle Sideways: seems safe to walk on
Riddle Sideways: welcome to a nice newly refreshed pavillion
Riddle Sideways: after a sim restart
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: how you and yours doing today?
Adams Rubble: tough times
Riddle Sideways: yep. same here
Adams Rubble: sorry to hear that
Riddle Sideways: It has a long time since watching the sim disappear and reappear
Riddle Sideways: still is fun to watch
Riddle Sideways: thinking all those analogies and metaphors
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: years ago there was a session with a sim restart watched and wrote many thoughts of it
Riddle Sideways: some avatar said "oh shut up, it was just a software server reboot"
Adams Rubble: oh my
Riddle Sideways: this second life presents simpler and perhaps easier to understand parallels
Riddle Sideways: to a hard to understand, grasp and deal with reality
Riddle Sideways: just before sim reset, was reading your latest blog and was in that state of mind
Riddle Sideways: of presentation and taking away
Riddle Sideways: so to step over yonder and watch this sim poof
Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: not to even start to suggest that the Linden servers are gods
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: but there brings to minds some parallels
Riddle Sideways: we live in this simulation ㋡
Adams Rubble: we live in a world limited by our senses--our ability to perceive
Adams Rubble: so many things are a mystery
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: we (moderns) laugh at those ancients, who could not understand the mysteries, so put it down to the acts of gods
Adams Rubble: Being's world
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: Being presents and in the non-understanding it beomes a mystery
Riddle Sideways: to calm a mind, we conjure a hypothesis
Riddle Sideways: and for a while All is happy playing with it
Adams Rubble: we can appreciate the presence
Riddle Sideways: perhaps more so when a glimpse of the presence is taken away
Riddle Sideways: and then reappears
Adams Rubble: our seeing of the presence
Adams Rubble: I think the presence is always there
Riddle Sideways: yes, our seeing comes and goes
Riddle Sideways: where does the Giveth and Taketh reside?
Adams Rubble: perception
Riddle Sideways: can you say more?
Adams Rubble: :)
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: we accumulate riches and blessings. We think it is because we are good and industrious. Then we begin to lose things. We may think it is our fault.
Adams Rubble: Often it is the way of things
Adams Rubble: sometimes it is the action of others
Adams Rubble: we can look through to the presence
Adams Rubble: The presence of appearance
Adams Rubble: when we look closely, we can see all this is part of something greater
Adams Rubble: than us
Adams Rubble: our perception is that we have been given and it has been taken
Adams Rubble: we might look around and see others are receiving and losing
Adams Rubble: we are part of that
Adams Rubble: does that make sense?
Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: whew
Riddle Sideways: wanted it for the log ㋡
Riddle Sideways: it is Perceived as Shiva as the preserver and destroyer
Adams Rubble: the form world
Adams Rubble: Buddhost realms
Adams Rubble: the realm of desire
Adams Rubble: the realm of form
Adams Rubble: the realm of formlessness
Adams Rubble: Shiva belongs to the realm of form
Adams Rubble: the sim disappearing is in the world of form
Riddle Sideways: an observer watching the world of form
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: and yet, sometimes, this observer position is tiring
Adams Rubble: yes yes
Riddle Sideways: so, need to go observe the rest of the day
Adams Rubble: letting go is hard
Adams Rubble: sometimes
Adams Rubble: we are observers but wrapped up in the show
Adams Rubble: yes sometimes
Riddle Sideways: and sometimes we hold on tight and it slips away anyway
Adams Rubble: It is when we understand our place in the show that things change
Adams Rubble: most of the drama is taking place in our minds
Adams Rubble: so we might as well let God in :)
Riddle Sideways: moving the mind to a different cushion to observe from, changes things
Adams Rubble: take good care Riddle
Riddle Sideways: take good care Adams
Adams Rubble: bye for now
Riddle Sideways: by All
