Shhhhhh.
Knowledge
Riddle Sideways: otherwise, bring many experts (us) together to push all edges of a hard to explore subject
SophiaSharon Larnia: just thinking how much i need to learn, like to catch up on the last 20 years ^^
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :)
Riddle Sideways: read all the combined knowledge/research on the subject
SophiaSharon Larnia: (actually more)
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, a daunting task
Riddle Sideways: study all the books in the library and internet
Riddle Sideways: and in a week or two
SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Riddle Sideways: come here and discuss it
Riddle Sideways: no, we already know it
SophiaSharon Larnia: it does sound familiar
Exploding Flowers
Mickorod Renard: I went to a lovely garden today,,just up road from me
Mickorod Renard: and while I was looking around
Agatha Macbeth: In RL?
Mickorod Renard: yes
Agatha Macbeth: Ok
Mickorod Renard: I saw all the different sorts of flowers
Mickorod Renard: and noticed how they were like bursts of fireworks
Eliza Madrigal smiles, nice image
Fael Innovia smiles.
Agatha Macbeth nods
Mickorod Renard: and this meant I cud take enjoyment from each bloom,,exploding
Gaya Ethaniel: :)
Mickorod Renard: like a star burst or whatever
Awareness
Eos Amaterasu: I like your profile line about truth starting where you stop looking for it (something like that)
druth Vlodovic: no cannons or peanut gallery
druth Vlodovic: I was watching a sitcom once, guy was turning over couch cushions looking for the remote he had in his hand "I didn't want it to be in the last place I looked."
Eos Amaterasu: awareness is like that
Eos Amaterasu: you look for it all over the place
Eos Amaterasu: but it's in whatever appears for you already
On a cure for hayfever:
Bolonath Crystal: i know a good acupuncture point against the symptoms. this point also can be pressed or massaged for a minute or two
Cosmicflower Ushimawa: have wondered what would be cure for it
Cosmicflower Ushimawa: where it is?
Bolonath Crystal: this point doesn't cure it, but helps to keep the nose and eyes clear
Bolonath Crystal: it is right at the elbow
Bolonath Crystal: here: http://www.arzt-fuer-homoeopathie.co...dickdarm11.jpg
Bolonath Crystal: this one may be better: http://wakowa.files.wordpress.com/20...1/li11hold.jpg
Prism
Lucinda Lavender: Maybe each alt is a representation of a new gift to deliver
Gaya Ethaniel: I've been thinking about that a lot recently, looking at the sky. Clouds forming and dissipating, never the same ... through how weather is affected by everything on earth.
Gaya Ethaniel: Yes like a new prism :)
PaB
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, PlayAsBeing is an experiment in what could be called a Peer wisdom culture. It is not a traditional place with a teacher and a doctrine
***
Calvino Rabeni: If there are limits, they are the ones we bring - and might be available for discussion and opening up also
Heaven on Earth
Ewan Bonham: Perhaps for us, the truth is what we call a dream
stevenaia Michinaga: at times it can me
Archmage Atlantis: I have a 19 yo cat sleeping by my keyboard.......I would never imagined that 19 years ago
Ewan Bonham: Or perhaps the truth is our discovery of Heaven on earth, so to speak
stevenaia Michinaga: I ahve a 10 yr old cat who does that, So I should expect this to continue for the next 9 years?
Paradise Tennant: would love to be able to ask a 19 cat ..what he or she thinks is true .. :)
stevenaia Michinaga: heaven, what dos that mean, is it religious for you or just a place with clouds?
Archmage Atlantis: to expect is not to be
Ewan Bonham: I mean a place where we see only beauty in others.
Levels
Liza Deischer: but the real thing to me is
Liza Deischer: is how to translate that in western society
Liza Deischer: because actually the methods are already there
Liza Deischer: but is asking too much of certain parts of western people
Liza Deischer: no culture to back it up
Liza Deischer: I think Pema is looking for the same thing
Calvino Rabeni: Yes
Liza Deischer: but he (or they) are mixing up different levels, to my opinion
Calvino Rabeni: what levels are you considering?
Liza Deischer: we talk a lot about things that are on what I refer to as wisdom level
Liza Deischer: like emptiness
Liza Deischer: but using tools on the psychological levels
Liza Deischer: emptiness on that level meaning something quite different
Liza Deischer: if you can approach it at all in that way
Liza Deischer: ego is different
Liza Deischer: the dissolving of ego is only possible on the wisdom level
Liza Deischer: but working with ego is quite possible on the psychological level
Liza Deischer: but sometimes I feel like people want to gain something with psychological tools
Liza Deischer: that can't be delt with with those tools
Liza Deischer: so you get all kind of weird assumptions
Liza Deischer: sometimes even up to some that think to find the 'truth'
Liza Deischer: or already has found it
Liza Deischer: but it starts with working with ego
Liza Deischer: on a psychological level
Liza Deischer: you just need to know that it is psychology, not wisdom
Liza Deischer: but you first need to make space in the ego itself
Liza Deischer: to start working with it
Liza Deischer: and if ego is giving some space
Calvino Rabeni: True
Liza Deischer: you can work on space
Liza Deischer: space being an introduction to wisdom
Liza Deischer: but many levels there
Liza Deischer: in all those steps
Liza Deischer: but this is actually the framework I try to develop with the shift
Liza Deischer: also knowing and being aware that sometimes there are big obstacles on the psychological level
Liza Deischer: they need to be addressed
Liza Deischer: like negative emotions
Liza Deischer: low self esteme
Liza Deischer: trauma's
Pushing and Being Pushed
Storm Nordwind: You can't "push the envelope" unless you know where it is! :)
SophiaSharon Larnia has in the past, just pushed everything haha
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: me too
Adams Rubble: It is one approach :)
Storm Nordwind: Fine, until things start pushing back!
SophiaSharon Larnia: giggles
SophiaSharon Larnia is thinking of things that pushed back, and what the reasons for that were
SophiaSharon Larnia: and knows it doesnt matter :)
Adams Rubble: :)
Storm Nordwind: We probably learn most through interactions - of any kind :)
Eliza Madrigal: Sometimes I hear advice float up... that we have in us a 'deciding force' that knows what to choose and what to turn from
Perception
Bonham: Yes, part of my journey is to discover how to perceive much of that as very familiar...universal.
Geo Netizen: But perception is so prone to misperceptions
Paradise Tennant: watches the dawn rise in our other world :)
Geo Netizen smiles at the perception
Calvino Rabeni: The job of perception is to come up with a reasonably plausible story and then stick with it
Ewan Bonham: Lol- but sticking with it may keep us in the 'mud' of judgment
Calvino Rabeni: We're the lotus, live in the mud
Geo Netizen: Tis true that perceptions that increase survival value get propagated.
