    Riddle Sideways: weather report keeps saying snow, but none yet
    Riddle Sideways: the mountains have snow

    Riddle Sideways: in the middle of day it gets warm enough to walk between houses without coat


    Adams Rubble: I have been very depressed about politics and it seemed the only thing I could do about it was to renew some practice so I have been reading Pema Cjhodron
    Adams Rubble: Trump is invading our state today
    Adams Rubble: people have been waiting in line to see him since Sunday afternoon
    Riddle Sideways: it is like being on vacation here, no news radio, no papers
    Adams Rubble: nice. I should shut up them
    Adams Rubble: important to be away from news
    Riddle Sideways: like doing a practice where the News is on silent retreat
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Adams Rubble: hard to avoid it otherwise


    Riddle Sideways: but... now curious. why is everybody waiting to see him?

    Adams Rubble: the venue holds 7400 and the Trump people say there were 100,000 requests for tickets

    Riddle Sideways: is he now a rack group?
    Adams Rubble: convention hall in Wildwood, NJ

    Adams Rubble: apparently he is a rock group
    Riddle Sideways: hugest crowd ever

    Riddle Sideways: not sure if for the log? (please decide). Saw Storm yesterday in Denver

    Riddle Sideways: had breakfast and talked and talked
    Riddle Sideways: Everybody in the place knew him

    Riddle Sideways: still does not have an American acsent
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: good that he seems to be doing well
    Riddle Sideways: says that only his old laptop knows how to get on SL
    Riddle Sideways: and it does not boot up very often


    Riddle Sideways: Living in Baby-time is great
    Riddle Sideways: schedules, appointments, plans, etc. are just shelved
    Riddle Sideways: our little apartments/townhouses feel like cabins in the woods
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: yet, short blocks walk are lots of stores to get groceries


    Adams Rubble: one generates lots of love for the little ones

    Riddle Sideways: yep, there has been a small parade of people coming through to share love
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: little one goes back to sleep and makes noises while sleeping
    Riddle Sideways: everybody smiles
    Riddle Sideways: any conversation stops


    Riddle Sideways: Plus, new parents say the darnest things
    Adams Rubble: hehe
    Riddle Sideways: Oh! did you know that how to raise children has completely changed
    Adams Rubble: what!!?! No keeping them in the chicken coop?
    Riddle Sideways: oh, you were thinking of 'Free-Range Children'

    Riddle Sideways: yet, there still are holes in the space-time continuium
    Riddle Sideways: a baby object that was just in aunties lap is found way upstairs
    Riddle Sideways: of course everybody still wonders "what does baby really see?"
    Riddle Sideways: and that delightful smile is just gas
    Riddle Sideways: some things never change

    Riddle Sideways: oh dear, got that cartoonist B.Kliban stuck in head
    Riddle Sideways: and went searching for the big baby cartoons
    Riddle Sideways: spent pause on Cat comic
    Adams Rubble: :)


    Adams Rubble: I was thinking about how special it was when my parents would come to visit us
    Riddle Sideways: did they live far away?
    Adams Rubble: only about 60 miles but they only visited once or twice a year
    Riddle Sideways: whoops, read Grandparents
    Adams Rubble: we usually did the travelling
    Adams Rubble: they were grandparents :)
    Adams Rubble: not my grandparents :)
    Riddle Sideways: yes, our parents leaved far away and seldom visited our house for the kids
    Riddle Sideways: lived
    Riddle Sideways: usually traveled to them
    Riddle Sideways: and the kids found all new toys
    Adams Rubble: precious moments
    Riddle Sideways: out would come the camera
    Riddle Sideways: Dad would take them down into the shop
    Adams Rubble: now when grandchildren come, out come boxes of used toys :)
    Riddle Sideways: and they would come back with a board with nails half pounded into it
    Riddle Sideways: yep, already have those boxes of toys ready in the corner of the living room
    Adams Rubble: :)))
    Riddle Sideways: just waiting for this baby to swallow a Lego
    Riddle Sideways: no no

    Riddle Sideways: right now, we are only up to swinging arms around
    Adams Rubble: it goes so fast
    Adams Rubble: today the arms, tomorrow chasing them through the house
    Riddle Sideways: yes


    Adams Rubble: I regularly feel much blessed for having long enough to witness it all
    Riddle Sideways: is a blessing
    Riddle Sideways: is precious
    Adams Rubble nods


    Riddle Sideways: couple days ago, had a Naming ceremony.
    Riddle Sideways: lots of people came by and gave blessings
    Adams Rubble: that is a nice custom
    Riddle Sideways: lots of tears
    Riddle Sideways: of Joy
    Riddle Sideways: lots of tissues used
    Riddle Sideways: miles and piles of Joy
    Adams Rubble: Very happy for you
    Riddle Sideways: and you are still going through all those moments

    Just wanted to say what a pleasant time I had when Riddle was kind enough to visit. :)) Amazing that we had not seen each other for 8½ years. He has not changed much on the outside, but is wonderfully mellow on the inside.

    Naming ceremonies are blessèd, for those Named — whether they're a babe or a mature adult — as well as for those present.
