    Handling the uncertainty of time

Eliza Madrigal: I hope everyone is handling the uncertainty of the time relatively well, keeping safe and able to do 'all the things' needed?
arabella Ella: it is a steep learning curve!
Lucinda Lavender: spring helps I think
    Wol Euler:
to be honest I am really struggling.

    Eliza Madrigal: definitely dry hands
    Riddle Sideways: Yes! Ara
stevenaia Michinaga: uncertainty of the time... I went to the exhibit yesterday and was wondering where everyone was
Mickorod Renard: can you order some by mail Wol?
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, Wol, yes I get that... some kind of external structure needed
Wol Euler: I have plenty, I just can't bear the thought of having to choose some and put them on
Eden Haiku: Organizing food deliveries and desinfecting groceries is quite a challenge...
    Mickorod Renard: ah yes,
    Riddle Sideways: Howdee Adams ㋡
    Santoshima Resident: hello Adams :)

    Wol Euler: hello adams
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Adams :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: hi adams
    Lucinda Lavender:
This seems like a time for creating some ceremonialness. lighting a candle( which I never do) and creating little areas that mean certain things.
    Adams Rubble: hello Everybody :)
Eliza Madrigal: What a nice idea Luci
    Adams Rubble:
Not used to seeing so many avatars here
    stevenaia Michinaga: Waves to Adams

    Wester’s question

Eliza Madrigal: Had hoped to see Wester again today, since it is her question we're beginning with
Lucinda Lavender: one of the biggest changes for me and my husband is the creating of a weekly shopping list:)
arabella Ella: why is that a challenge Luci?
Lucinda Lavender: There is so much freedom in not having to go every day which is whqaqt we always did
    arabella Ella: ah ok
Eliza Madrigal: things we do all the time without thinking, now we are spending so much time with
Lucinda Lavender: we are procrastinators I guess
    Wol Euler nods.
Bleu Oleander: buying for weeks rather than days is more challenging for us too Luci
Eden Haiku: All our ways of doing things are changing...
Lucinda Lavender: i experience freedom now:)
    Wol Euler: in what sense?
    Wol Euler: freedom from shopping?
arabella Ella: yes in what sense?
arabella Ella: for many freedom has been curtailed
    arabella Ella: due to lockdowns
Bleu Oleander: for me, a more creative time
Lucinda Lavender: yes! from shopping. and getting in the car, and diverting myself by going to the second hand store:)
Mickorod Renard: I have freedom to finish all the unfinnished jobs around the house
    Eliza Madrigal:
    some silver linings
Bleu Oleander: being creative with less forces you think differently
Eden Haiku: In Quebec, the Prime Minister told us today we will have to maintain a social distance of 6 feet for MONTHS...

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler: it's true
    Wol Euler:
nobody wants to talk about that
Lucinda Lavender: new and different style for me
arabella Ella: Eden we have been keeping social distance for nearly a month
Eliza Madrigal: this will change our world and thinking forever
    Aphrodite Macbain: hard to imagine
Catrinamonblue Resident: I have time to breathe again, I was already in the process of letting some work go and now 2 more are closed. I am greatful for the time to find myself again.
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
    Bleu Oleander: for me too
Eden Haiku: Yes, we have already too Ara, for one month. We never realized it could be till next Fall, till next Winter...
Aphrodite Macbain: I'm getting a lot of things done that I hae procrastinated doing, including painting
Bleu Oleander: the challenge is to stay socially close but not physically close
    Lucinda Lavender: like second life
Aphrodite Macbain: Yes- I talk to friends every day - on the phone and on Zoom
    Almadi Masala:
those of us in SL have a head start on knowing how to be socially connected while physically distant

    Aphrodite Macbain: lol
Lucinda Lavender: ha.. my typing may improve with this
    Wol Euler: awwwww
Mickorod Renard: yeh, I have discovered that my brother and sisters exist
Eden Haiku: I had two poetry readings net Summer that aren't cancelled yet but probably will. Not even sure we will be able to move into the Summer house. For now, going to one area to another one is not permitted.
Aphrodite Macbain: I like the idea of a summerhouse Eden
Riddle Sideways: oh dear, Eden. The Rock and deer would miss you
Bleu Oleander: we have a few friends who can't go to summer homes this year so it will be nice to have them around
Catrinamonblue Resident: It's a bit funny for me as I have been mainly working from home for several years now and so there is not much different in my life, I prefer to stay home to begin with.
Bleu Oleander: we work at home too, but its knowing you have to stay home LOL
Aphrodite Macbain: I have a new home so I am constantly sorting, and rearranging
Riddle Sideways: right Cat, this is just more of the same ol
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: buying plants

    The moon

Bleu Oleander: what are we all reading or watching?
Eliza Madrigal: it IS different, plus, the buffer of everyone 'else' being out working, is gone :)
Mickorod Renard: its a good time for playing in the garden
Wol Euler: reading "crazy rich asians"
    Aphrodite Macbain: too much news
arabella Ella: Has anyone seen the supermoon tonight, I just looked outdoors, it is amazingly huge!
Eden Haiku: I will miss the deer...I noticed more blue jays and cardinals in Montreal, now that the planes are much rarer and trafic is almost non-existent, That's nice :)
Riddle Sideways: blinging ALL of Netflix
Mickorod Renard: it woke me up at 4am
    Aphrodite Macbain: wow
Catrinamonblue Resident: It's cloudy where I am Ara :(
    Mickorod Renard: too bright
Eliza Madrigal: was wondering whether the sky was so clear due to less pollution, or if I'm imagining it/imposing it...
Bleu Oleander: super moon is amazing here
arabella Ella: it is so huge and bright I could nearly reach out and touch it!
Bruce Mowbray: No, it is a supermoon.
Eliza Madrigal: see more stars at night, or am I just walking slower
Lucinda Lavender: I watch the office at night with my husband because it makes us laugh and then I watch Korean and Japanese shows:)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, nice Ara! Can't wait for the night time
Eliza Madrigal: :) watch Korean tv too
Mickorod Renard: I read that during the lockdown in china thousands of children were saved from polution deaths
Wol Euler: the air is definitely clearer here, I can smell the difference
Santoshima Resident: reading ... [ book title deleted, was on page 4, now half way through and am leaving the cult of admiring the author, now ... , it is too trashy to be worth giving the title ... ], and watching brighter stars over the city
Eden Haiku: Yes Ara the pink moon was extraordinary yesterday night. Only 4 pm here now :)

    Is it a reading club?

Eliza Madrigal:Any sense where everyone would like PaB to fit in, or... how... or....?

    Bruce Mowbray listens.
    Aphrodite Macbain: ah thank you
    Wol Euler loves Murakami
    Eliza Madrigal also
Santoshima Resident: [... title name deleted ... ], is the title. about. ... [ some sort of publishing coup? ... it's incredible that it was published and lauded even ... it's maybe about the influencial clout of the author, ... anything that he writes will be published and scooped up by the public ...  that outline also describes the story of the novel ...] imagination perhaps [ ... the author testing the public's and publisher's sycophantic adoration, maybe? ... ]
Riddle Sideways: yes, Cat. just like the old times
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: or IQ?

    Santoshima Resident: no
Aphrodite Macbain: I'm reading the life of trees
Santoshima Resident: 1 (one) not I (sounds like eye) [... but now having read it ... at least, that is half of the 900+pages, it's safe to say, yes, Aph: IQ 84 , it's bullshit writing ... ]
Bruce Mowbray: Brian Greene is great.
    Bleu Oleander: great book Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Trees are also great.
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles and nods
Eden Haiku: I'm reading "La vie unanime: by Jules Romains. Written in 1902-1908 and it is amazing how it talks about the feeling of oneness we have with the whole world now, due to this pandemic.

Bruce Mowbray: I have Greene's "Fabric of the Cosmos"

    --BELL--

    Our sense of time

    Wol Euler: yes
Aphrodite Macbain: I have more time but spending doing unimportant things :(
Wol Euler: I am surprised at how little "spare time" I have now, compared to before
Eliza Madrigal: I'm looking forward to it, but have discovered that when we're all home here sharing space, I have no comfy place to settle in for hours
Eliza Madrigal: may resort to the car :)
    Bleu Oleander: haha
    Bruce Mowbray nods.
Wol Euler: it feels like I have the same or less amount of time, even though I'm working less and not travelling to work and back
    Eliza Madrigal: I wonder why
Eden Haiku: Same feeling here; less time...Weird isn't i?
    Wol Euler:
my theory is that existential dread and despair are eating up my sense of time
Bleu Oleander: video chats seem to gobble up a lot of time
Catrinamonblue Resident: It feels that way for me too sometimes Wol. Hard to explain exactly
Mickorod Renard: when you retire its the same, like the saying I never knew how I had time to work
Eden Haiku: Sounds good theory Wol ...
Aphrodite Macbain: What are you dreading Wol? Catching the virus?
Eliza Madrigal: coping with the lack of normalcy
    Riddle Sideways:
all of us going through the stages of mourning
Wol Euler: there is a certain amount of visceral fear, yes, because I am in the at-risk group
stevenaia Michinaga: I can identify, new normal
Wol Euler: through age and my weak lungs
    stevenaia Michinaga: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT3SBzmDxGk&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR0437w63k6ufOpSi2jBg6F3SKOZXxo2rfihjQPDILgHFWguQRhs4T1jhG0
    Eliza Madrigal nods Riddle
Aphrodite Macbain: Should we go to Xiris's opening?
Wol Euler: this is paradoxically the first time in many years that I haven't had a severe cold or flu during the winter
arabella Ella: I feel that the uncertainty and the fact that we have no idea how long this will last eats at us too
Eden Haiku: Stages of mourning, yes, Riddle, that's what it is...
Riddle Sideways: no, go to exhibit when not a crowd there
Aphrodite Macbain: smiles- perhaps you are being more careful Wol
Wol Euler: mostly I fear the decline and fall of society
Santoshima Resident: > Wol : not as exposed to as many people?
arabella Ella: I feel your fear and concerns Wol
Wol Euler: and I mourn in advance the many many small and tiny businesses that will not survive
Wol Euler: my neighborhood will be decimated
Eden Haiku: Washing your hand more than usually Wol:)
    Bleu Oleander: yes Wol
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
    Aphrodite Macbain: scary stuff indeed
Aphrodite Macbain: I fear the unknown
Riddle Sideways: am spending time between zoom calls binge watching YouTubes. thanks Stev
Aphrodite Macbain: and the lack of leaders who know what to do
Bleu Oleander: haha Aph, the known might do us in
Eden Haiku: The way the little shops organize is a wonder to watch. Many are making deliveries now.
Eliza Madrigal: or only know what to do s serve themselves
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
Mickorod Renard: Boris knows, he has booked into hospital early
Wol Euler: watching America slide into a fascist kleptocratic dictatorship is also deeply upsetting
Eliza Madrigal: that's probably what I struggle with most these days... continual anger
Bleu Oleander: tell us about it Wol !!
Wol Euler: hehehe I know I know
Wol Euler: I just watch, you poor people have to live it
Eliza Madrigal: again, up for adoption :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Riddle Sideways: ;}
Eliza Madrigal: I just have a few other people... and a really cute dog...
arabella Ella: Wol there are lots of online performances that can take your mind off these things, Sunday at 7pm CET for example Andrea Bocelli sings in the empty Milan Duomo on his YouTube page!
Catrinamonblue Resident: I do have a finished basement with a room and bathroom ;)
Bleu Oleander: dogs are saving us!
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Wol Euler smiles.
Eden Haiku: We are so lucky in Quebec to have a Prime Minister with empathy who gives a press conference on TV for almost one hour everyday since March 12th. His level of approval is amazing: 88% of us trust him. But people are dying and it is scary...
Riddle Sideways: the SPCA shelters are empty of pets
Aphrodite Macbain: I wonder what he will sing
Wol Euler reads back. "continual anger", yeah...
    Almadi Masala:
New York is lucky to have governor Cuomo
    Aphrodite Macbain: Poor New York
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Riddle Sideways: Cuomo is doing great
Adams Rubble: NY is a mess and NJ not far behind
    Bleu Oleander: NYC so sad
    Bleu Oleander: yes NJ too
arabella Ella: yes very sad about what is happening in NY despite Cuomo's best efforts
    Adams Rubble:
Our governor is not as national as Cuomo but doing a very good job
Bruce Mowbray: Ohio is very lucky to have Gov. DeWine - ours was the second state to lock down.

Wondering how PaB will come out of this tunnel

Catrinamonblue Resident: I am going to have to go my dears, I am very tired and need to rest a bit. I hit burn out with too much work and let things go too long. I am grateful for the time I will now have to recuperate.......
Bleu Oleander: have many family there including a cousin in ICU
    Wol Euler nods.
Bleu Oleander: nice to see you Cat!
    Adams Rubble:
I go through periods where I doubt that we will survive this
Wol Euler: take care, Cat, and stay healthy
Catrinamonblue Resident: bye for now my loves
    Santoshima Resident: bye Cat
    Bruce Mowbray: Take care, Cat.
    stevenaia Michinaga: Bye Cat
    Adams Rubble: bye Cat
    Aphrodite Macbain: take care Cat
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Cat, hugs!
    Mickorod Renard: bye Cat
Riddle Sideways: bye Cat, be safe and happy
    arabella Ella: bye Cat
Wol Euler: the society that comes out the other end of this tunnel will look quite different
Adams Rubble: I am fortunate that I have learned here to take things day by day and wake up knowing today is a gift
Bleu Oleander: anyone want to drop in on Xiri's opeing?
Wol Euler: and getting from here to there is going to be messy and painful
Eliza Madrigal: yes Wol, that's both the fear and hope
Eden Haiku: Bye Cat, it was nice to see you here :)
Mickorod Renard: Adams, yes I agree
stevenaia Michinaga: It’s a great show
Eliza Madrigal: I'm up for going to Xiri's opening :)
    Bleu Oleander: it is!
Mickorod Renard: I think lag will get me at the opening
Santoshima Resident: I'll like to see the show, but not the opening, too many people = lag
Wol Euler: when will it start?`
    Santoshima Resident: started at 1
    Bleu Oleander: La Maison d'Aneli , Virtual Holland (10, 77, 3513) - Moderate
Eliza Madrigal nods... maybe better to wait then until after the first hour
    stevenaia Michinaga: an hour ago
Mickorod Renard: I have to do social distancing with this laptop
    Eliza Madrigal: that's busiest?
Almadi Masala: I will wait and catch the show another time
Adams Rubble: tomorrow morning for the 7 am session we will be meeting at the museum instead of here
Eden Haiku: Will go some other time...
stevenaia Michinaga: let's fill it up
Riddle Sideways: wondering how PaB will come out of this tunnel ㋡
    Eden Haiku: Me tooo...
Eliza Madrigal: me too Riddle... have been musing with the question this week
Riddle Sideways: any thoughts from the musings
Eliza Madrigal: looking forward to hearing others' sensibilities because I can't say I've clarified my own
stevenaia Michinaga: see you next week?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: off to the show
    Santoshima Resident: bye Steve
Eden Haiku: I think Wester's way of calling PaB "a jewel" is great. But what to do with it?
    Mickorod Renard: bye steve
Wol Euler: bye steve, take care
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Stevie... tell Xiri many will come soonish when lag wanes
    Eden Haiku: Bye Steve
Bleu Oleander: jewels come in many shapes and colors ...
    arabella Ella: bye Steve
    Eliza Madrigal: (please)
    Adams Rubble: bye Steve
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe 'what' is the jewel, is one question
    stevenaia Michinaga: looking for address
Eden Haiku: The stooping for 9 seconds every 15 minutes is the core of it maybe?

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: the love of typos
Aphrodite Macbain: it's precious and beautiful
Bleu Oleander: for me its the connections and sharing of ideas
Bleu Oleander: and art shows LOL
Wol Euler: when you look over other ways and places that people meet, our tolerance and gentleness is quite astonishing, and precious
Eden Haiku: And we have been talking (at least I have) despite the bell's prompting us to stop for 90 seconds, like excited children :)
Eliza Madrigal: appreciation of Being as discovered through pauses and typos and sharing of ideas
    arabella Ella nods
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) Eden
Eliza Madrigal: tolerance and gentlness... benefit of the doubt
    arabella Ella: also calmness
    arabella Ella: serenity

    Goodbyes

Mickorod Renard: please excuse me but I am off for a wander. I need to learn how to do stuff again
    Riddle Sideways: lightly
    Wol Euler: calmness as strategy
Santoshima Resident: time to feed the cats, see you next week !
Santoshima Resident: bye Mick bye everyone
Bleu Oleander: bye Mick take care
    arabella Ella: bye Mick, San!
Adams Rubble: I must run too
Eliza Madrigal notices Mick's hoopoe short
Wol Euler: bye san, bye mick, stay healthy
    Wol Euler: bye adams
Eliza Madrigal: Bye to those who must go :)
    Wol Euler: love to all
Riddle Sideways: have a nice wonder
    Adams Rubble: stay safe everyone
Santoshima Resident: see you next week
    Bleu Oleander: hugs to all
Mickorod Renard: ty will do, I will be around here somewhere
    Aphrodite Macbain: waves
Eden Haiku: Bye Mick, bye Adams :)
Santoshima Resident: connection is enough reason. sending love ~

    Next week?

Eliza Madrigal: As a practical matter, I'm not sure I'm ready to commit to being here every week yet...
    Riddle Sideways: yes, San
Eliza Madrigal: but for a few weeks, yes
Eden Haiku: Not sure either ...
Bleu Oleander: take care all ... off to check out Xiri's opeing ... love that we're connecting again ... hugs everyone
Eden Haiku: For a few weeks yes, also :)
Riddle Sideways: awwww, at least you got others here, Eliza
    arabella Ella: bye Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bleu, see you there soon perhaps
    Bleu Oleander: kk
    Riddle Sideways: by Bleu
Bleu Oleander: will try to make this time if I can
Almadi Masala: I have to attend to RL for a bit ... great to see you all
Eliza Madrigal: Great to see you, Alma!
    Eden Haiku: Bye Alma :)
    arabella Ella: bye Alma!
    Wol Euler: bye alma
    Lucinda Lavender: i will try!
Eliza Madrigal: I love and miss PaB, but there were reasons I stepped back from hosting for a while.. am hoping to find further clarity from others, what is wanted/needed/wished for even
    Wol Euler nods.
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye everyone
    Eden Haiku: Nods
    Aphrodite Macbain: gotta go
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Aph :)
    Wol Euler: bye aph
    arabella Ella: bye Aph!
    Eden Haiku: Bye Aph
    Riddle Sideways: bye aph
    Eden Haiku: Bye Aph
Riddle Sideways: is hard because never put expectations on PaB, just showed up
Riddle Sideways: and sometimes magic happened
    Riddle Sideways: or an expoloration

    arabella Ella nods
Eliza Madrigal: your open-heartedness, easy goingness
Eden Haiku: Yes, magic . Sometimes :)
    arabella Ella loves magic!
Wol Euler: I came because of Pema and stayed because of the rest of you, ya lovely bunch of nutters
    Eliza Madrigal grins
    arabella Ella: he he
Eden Haiku: Riddle might be on something here: isn't about showing up?
    Wol Euler: I miss Pema
Riddle Sideways: even misreading a typo and gumbled order of chat can bring gems to the surface in oneself
    Eliza Madrigal nods
arabella Ella: I miss Pema too
Wol Euler: I miss his challenge
Wol Euler: that's not the right word
arabella Ella: Seeing being and being seeing!
    Riddle Sideways: yes
arabella Ella: Pema used to 'push' out thinking in interesting directions
    Wol Euler nods.
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    arabella Ella: and Storm too
    Riddle Sideways: thanks Wol,
Eliza Madrigal: I lost a bit of the 'just show up' feeling along the way... because... scheduling and posting and things that got a little heavier for me as time went on... even though I kept whittling down the little tasks
Eliza Madrigal: it felt like others could just show up... but I couldn't...
Wol Euler: yes, eliza, a huge and unfair amount of work devolved onto your shoulders
Eliza Madrigal: even though, and definitely in some cases, others were doing as much
Wol Euler: and I'm sorry that we let that happen
Eden Haiku: Yes, that became time-consuming and less fun...
Eliza Madrigal: I used to love that work but somehow the momentum lagged, or I lost confidence or something
Eliza Madrigal: am still working on finding that again
Riddle Sideways: you took on tooooo much
    Wol Euler nods.
arabella Ella: you did take on too much and four sessions a day were a bit too much over a relatively long period of time!
    Eden Haiku: ((((Eliza)))))
Eliza Madrigal: Then we meet again and it feels so good though! And I feel also, this timing is something special
    Wol Euler: yes
Eliza Madrigal: It isn't the same world, even now
    Eden Haiku: yes
Wol Euler: there is something special about doing this *now*
    arabella Ella nods
Wol Euler: during the season of the plague
    Eden Haiku: True
Riddle Sideways: the way it should feel
    Eliza Madrigal:
maybe this jewel is especially important now
Eden Haiku: WE are all in the same boat now, truly
Eliza Madrigal: this presence we share
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eden Haiku: That this jewel is important now, I think, is very real
Eden Haiku: But how, I have no idea
arabella Ella: does there have to be an answer to how? at this moment in time?
Eliza Madrigal: right... that's the feeling...

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Right Arabella, the question might be quite enough
Riddle Sideways: Like that really nice dream a couple nights ago, that did NOT get analyzed. just watched
Riddle Sideways: it is quite enough
    Wol Euler smiles.
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, it feels like we've been operating without that answer.. so have been looking for that vision... but, you're right...
Eden Haiku: care to share Riddle?
    arabella Ella: let things be
    Riddle Sideways: nope
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Eden Haiku: During the pause, I went back to my first session back on November 2 2008. I had the feeling my recently deceased mother was sitting among us. Mickorod said she might be. And others around the circle agreed. I had the feeling I had met my tribe :)
    Wol Euler: nice :)
    arabella Ella: owwww lovely :)
    Eliza Madrigal: precious
Eden Haiku: It was 2009 rather
Eliza Madrigal: feeling of safety and belonging? The playfulness was a big part for you too, wasn't it?
Eden Haiku: Yes, but that first session it was meeting people who "saw"/felt my mother sitting with us as I did;) Their empathy for my loss.
Eliza Madrigal: amazing, that can come through and be felt, like this
    Lucinda Lavender: I am back.
    Wol Euler: wb
    Eliza Madrigal: wb Luci :)
Eden Haiku: We might need empathy for our losses these days
Riddle Sideways: Then Eden would come to other session and have that same empathy for us all

    Anticipatory grief

Wol Euler: "anticipatory grief" is a phrase I heard recently
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: vulnerability, humanity
    Eden Haiku: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eliza Madrigal: Quite a phrase, Wol :(
    Wol Euler: indeed
Lucinda Lavender: can you describe what is meant by anticipatory grief
Riddle Sideways: wow, a new stage of mourning
Wol Euler: already mourning the feared losses to come
Eden Haiku: Crying sometimes for losing people I even never heard of before. Some old lady who died of COVID 19 at 104 years old today. She wrote her 1st book when she was 80 and it was a great book.
Eliza Madrigal: wow, that's so sad... and beautiful
Eden Haiku: Or just someone's aunt, a father, a son...
    arabella Ella: very sad
Riddle Sideways: a folky named John Prine
Lucinda Lavender: I kind of have a hard time getting to grief
Eden Haiku: The young Chinese doctor in Wuhan: she died at 29...
arabella Ella: I've got to be off bye everyone lovely to see you all here!
Eliza Madrigal: bye Ara, lovely to see you
    Riddle Sideways: by Ara
Wol Euler: bye ara, take care, stay healthy
    Eden Haiku: Bye Ara :)
Lucinda Lavender: I am sort of slow to respond...tho when my conductor died it was very real
    Eden Haiku: oh no, Luci...
    Riddle Sideways: oh
    Eden Haiku: So sorry...
Lucinda Lavender: That was back in 2010
Lucinda Lavender: brother just died in February but i don't feel sad really
Lucinda Lavender: that sounds weird I know
Lucinda Lavender: his life was so seriously curtailed
Lucinda Lavender: I think maybe I am still in a daze?
    Lucinda Lavender: perhaps
    Wol Euler nods.
Eden Haiku: Maybe all these people dying in this pandemic, everyday, everywhere need a breathing space on their journey and this place could be, for some of them. Before they keep going though the doors of death...
    Wol Euler: very possible
Eliza Madrigal: dissociation is natural to some extent... I have a delay about some things too.. then it sneaks up
Lucinda Lavender: knowing what is real is kind of a challenge
    Riddle Sideways:
    in the Days of Daze
Lucinda Lavender: maybe I keep my self in a denail of sorts
    Lucinda Lavender: denile
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Eden Haiku: Days of Daze, yes...
Lucinda Lavender: Denali would be fun tho
Wol Euler: "it is what it is"
Eliza Madrigal: I like acknowledging what is happening, trying to keep in mind that processing is more than appears on the surface
Eden Haiku: Such a musical ear Riddle :)
Eliza Madrigal: I seem to have friends who want to 'keep vibes up' and be positive all the time, but I think we have to expand capacity to do both.... holding what is happening and also opening it all up somehow
Eden Haiku: Days of Daze and Denial Luci :)
    Wol Euler: yes
Lucinda Lavender: what always makes me cry is hearing children sing

    --BELL--

    And they laughed at SL

Wol Euler: I had a bit of a breakdown after two weeks of keeping the vibe up
Riddle Sideways: tonight's (afternoon west coast) virtual Seder will be sad and wonderful. A table for two. Shared with almost 100 guests
Wol Euler: spent a day in bed wanting to cry
    Riddle Sideways: oh Wol
Wol Euler: now I give myself permission to be pessimistic :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :(
    Wol Euler: realistic
    Wol Euler nods to Riddle
    Eliza Madrigal: permission to grieve
Eden Haiku: Emotional collapsing, yes, Wol... that is part of it...
Wol Euler: I've been eavesdropping on people setting those up
Riddle Sideways: Virtual funerals, weddings, services, family meetups. And they laughed at SL
Eliza Madrigal: envious of those finding ways to keep rituals going now :)
    Wol Euler nods.
Lucinda Lavender: I am holding out some hope to visit my daughter this summer after her baby is born. Due May. if we are not allowed to it may be very sad.
    Eliza Madrigal: Aw, yes
Riddle Sideways: video chats with new grandson are not quite the same as holding
Lucinda Lavender: but I think it is the thought that takes one to the place of sadness.
Eliza Madrigal: babies are such a wonderful reminder that the world goes on
Lucinda Lavender: thank goodness for the video chat
Riddle Sideways: was 3 months old on the 5th
    Eliza Madrigal: awwww
Eliza Madrigal: Congratulations, belated, Riddle :)
    Lucinda Lavender: lovely Riddle!
    Wol Euler smiles.
Eden Haiku: yes Luci, a real sad possibility of missing this. Humanity is wearing a crown of thorns these days...
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, just got a yell that the shower is mine. Does that mean I need one?
    Eliza Madrigal: haha
Lucinda Lavender: so time get's figured in to the sadness because I get to being in the not present
Riddle Sideways: "in the not present"
Eliza Madrigal: makes total sense, Luci
Eliza Madrigal: time is the weirdest thing these days
Eden Haiku: So you are a granddad now Riddle ? Wonderful!@
    Riddle Sideways: yep
Lucinda Lavender: how far away is he?
Eden Haiku: And happy Seder and Passover. And Easter for others :)
Eliza Madrigal: Should go see Xiri now.... then maybe shower is in order for me too... have to find unemployment forms... yada yada
    Riddle Sideways: Boulder
    Lucinda Lavender: Nice
    Wol Euler sighs.
    Lucinda Lavender: Thank you Eliza!
Wol Euler: good luck, dear eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Have beautiful holidays everyone :)
Riddle Sideways: Being Sent to the Showers
Riddle Sideways: thank you for this
    Riddle Sideways: and your time
Eden Haiku: Thank you for hosting sweet Eliza and good luck with all the paperwork...
Wol Euler: I'll see you at Xiri's show in a bit
    Wol Euler: goodnight all
    Riddle Sideways: by All
    Wol Euler: stay healthy
Eliza Madrigal: thanks you lovely loving appreciative kind-hearted people... have to find address
Eden Haiku: Bye Wol, take care, bye Riddle, Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Be safe and happy
    Wol Euler: _/|\_
    Eden Haiku: Bye Luci :)
    Lucinda Lavender: bye for now:)
Eden Haiku: See you guys next week :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Lucinda Lavender: Thanks to all!
Eliza Madrigal: lol I've forgotten how to do everything
    Lucinda Lavender: me too!
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
Eden Haiku: Bye (((Eliza))) Be gentle with yourself.... Love you :)))
    Eliza Madrigal: Love you
    Eliza Madrigal: (((Eden))))
    Eliza Madrigal: Am trying :)

Thanks so much for posting this session, Eden. It may seem a small thing, but your kind gesture eased the day significantly! <3

How good to 'catch up', albeit a few days after the event!

Things are OK for the two of us here in Denver.
We're staying indoors, so no change there!
And I'm concentrating on my Kemetic practice.

    Love you all! ❤
