The Guardian for this meeting was Riddle Sideways. The comments are by Riddle Sideways.
Riddle Sideways: reading blog #1848, Star II
Riddle Sideways: commenting on the ref. to Joni Mitchell's "Circle Game" is all about the Carausel of Time.

Riddle Sideways: If thoughts step back from all the Time references, studies and theme then it can be seen that we ride on the thin surface of a turning globe in a sky.
Riddle Sideways: It is good to talk of the stars aligning,
Riddle Sideways: Seems the alignment is a personal point of view
Riddle Sideways: a personal re-re-occurring theme, thought, knowledge is PoV.
Riddle Sideways: Sci. says that the star is very close to exactly the same place every rotation of your planet.
Riddle Sideways: It is your Point of View, of the head on the pillow (same spot?), at the same (or different) time and looking through the same slit of window shade above that tree.
Riddle Sideways: A Point of View that during another night's observation brings a different Joni Mitchell song lyric stream of thoughts and revelations.
Riddle Sideways: the next stanza would/might go: "I've looked at Stars from up and down, and still somehow, It's Life's illusions I recall. I really don't know PoV(s) at all"
Recalling a childhood story/project of taking a magnifying glass and burning a spot on a wooden board at the exact same time everyday in the same mounting position. Over a year it would burn a trace of the sun's angle at that location. (Never did this. What kid could be there Every Noon for a year)
Research found it is a "Solar Analemma". https://www.timeanddate.com/astronom...-analemma.html

Adams Rubble: the sky was so beautiful
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: well, still live in an area that has open sky
Riddle Sideways: band practice is up in the hills with little light pollution
Adams Rubble: that is nice--would love to see that again
Riddle Sideways: many times after. come out of studio and lay on driveway to look up
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I remember seeing shooting stars and being told by wise elder cousins that they were stars falling out of the sky
Adams Rubble: we were lucky to have wise elder cousins
Riddle Sideways: remember. finding milky white stone and elder, lying most of the time sister, telling that is a fallen star
Riddle Sideways: our little globe is moving through several meteors' path right now
Adams Rubble crosses fingers
Riddle Sideways: and a full moon is messing the show up a bit
Riddle Sideways: that adds contemplation of angles to thoughts
Adams Rubble: I must go. It was good seeing you. Sorry to be so late and see you enxt week.
