Riddle Sideways: Good Morning Adams ㋡
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: did the repair person fix all and leave?
Adams Rubble: still here. see IM
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: hope all is well in the Golden State
Adams Rubble: or is it Golden Bear State?
Adams Rubble: soon to be part of the Big 10
Adams Rubble: well some of it
Adams Rubble: joining football powerhouse Rutgers
Riddle Sideways: ah, thus the hoodie you are wearing
Adams Rubble: do we have a topic we can chew on?
Riddle Sideways: maybe.
Riddle Sideways: yesterday spent a long time with a bookshelf
Riddle Sideways: not visited that shelf for a long time
Adams Rubble: the former mayor of our town, Meryl Frank, wrote a book called "Unearthed"
Adams Rubble: It is a search for some of her family who were murdered during the holicaust
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, if a title can judge the book
Riddle Sideways: the mayor unearthed the buried skelitons?
Riddle Sideways: the dirty compost under City Hall?
Adams Rubble: They lived in Vilnius which had a Jewish population of 267,000 before the war and was called the jerusalem of the North
Adams Rubble: Napoleon named it that
Adams Rubble: the Nazis apparently started the holcaust there
Adams Rubble: the book is well written and contains a certain amount of suspense as she removes layers to get at some mysteries
Adams Rubble: learned much about Eastern Europe and the Jewish population and their atempts to survive
Adams Rubble: in reply to you, always good to revisit parts of the library
Adams Rubble: I am doing that too to a degree
Adams Rubble: in that I am shifting books around trying to find some I might give away
Adams Rubble: not being successful with the latter
Adams Rubble: may have to build a new bookcase
Adams Rubble: brrr. it is getting cold
Adams Rubble: in the house
Riddle Sideways: so, the AC is now working and makes the house too cold
Riddle Sideways: prolly the AC is supposed to turn into a heater to warm the place
Adams Rubble: he is still working on it
Adams Rubble: I understand California is filled with flowers
Riddle Sideways: In our case, some furniture is coming to this house and so pieces have to move around
Adams Rubble: it is such a lovely time of year here
Riddle Sideways: and possibly a ugly bookshelf (or 2) have to leave
Riddle Sideways: OH! the flowers
Adams Rubble: we have too much stinkin furniture
Adams Rubble: not enough room for the books
Riddle Sideways: in the distance across the valley is a hillside that is bright green and Orange
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: huge patches of orange poppies
Adams Rubble: an appearance
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: the lupine are out in force in other areas, not quite opened on the meadow yet
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: this house had just the limit of furniture
Riddle Sideways: so any more in means something out
Riddle Sideways: the Tall narrow bookshelves that use to be in living room when televisions needed full big furniture cabinets, need to go
Riddle Sideways: Those big TVs needed lots of cabinets and heavy units
Riddle Sideways: to balance the TV, amplifier, turntable, players and players, books had to be added.
Riddle Sideways: and bookshelves to hold albums, then CD, then DVDs
Riddle Sideways: then tech moved on to thin and larger flat screen TVs
Riddle Sideways: they mounted on a bare wall or on a simple credenza.
Riddle Sideways: the players all went away one by one
Riddle Sideways: the tall narrow light wood bookshelves went upstairs. Where I am told they not longer match any other furniture
Riddle Sideways: can't even spell Feng Sway, much less hear it
Riddle Sideways: So, that is what became the afternoon yesterday of sitting on the floor at an unvisited bookshelf of old friends
Adams Rubble: back
Riddle Sideways: books not seen in so long a time
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: repair success? or going to get a part and come back next week?
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: success. the heat is on now :)
Riddle Sideways: Great!
Adams Rubble: it was a valve that had come loose and leaked the regeriant in the house
Adams Rubble: refridgerant
Adams Rubble: or something like that
Riddle Sideways: to finish, almost every book had a bookmark about halfway in
Adams Rubble: hehe
Adams Rubble: I know those kind of books
Riddle Sideways: 3 books had 2 bookmarks (?)
Adams Rubble: I have been reading Nisaragatta's "I Am That" for 15 years or so. Pulled it out and started reading where I left off and fell asleep and the bookmark fell on the floor
Adams Rubble: I decided to start over since I do not know where I was and don't remember the other part anyway
Riddle Sideways: ha! done that
Adams Rubble: shhh
Adams Rubble: shhh
Riddle Sideways: shhhh beel
Riddle Sideways: in fact did that last night.
Riddle Sideways: Pulled one book and it looked so good that it went straight to the nightstand
Adams Rubble: awww. I managed to stay awake with the interesting book I am reading and closed down when it started to get too late
Riddle Sideways: and it got opened last night. not sure if any pages got read before asleep
Adams Rubble: shhhh
Riddle Sideways: found several books on Dreaming. Two on recurring dreams
Adams Rubble: hmmm
Riddle Sideways: also, two books written by friends that need to be finished before seeing them again
Riddle Sideways: seems recurring dreams 'might' be something to pay attention to
Riddle Sideways: not sure, might have to read those
Adams Rubble nods
Adams Rubble: recurring dreams trying to tell you something
Riddle Sideways: if only one could find out what
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: what could dreams that end with a cat jumping on you often during the night mean
Adams Rubble: time for some sailing :)
Adams Rubble: and mindfulness :)
Adams Rubble: will have fun fun fun until Daddy takes our dream away
Riddle Sideways: watched breathing from 4-5am
Adams Rubble: I can't watch for that long when I wake up in the middle of the night
Adams Rubble: my mind goes beserk
Riddle Sideways: thinking about that lyric. Think they sang "til" not 'until' which might have been an ok use of bad word usage
Adams Rubble: I say calm down mind and the mind goes Psssssssthssss
Riddle Sideways: ㋡
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: sorry, was off having an argument with Fitbit over amount of sleep last night
Riddle Sideways: recall seeing the clock at a time when known to have been awake a long time, but it says 2 minutes
Adams Rubble is too primitive--only argues with the mind
Adams Rubble: no fitbits
Riddle Sideways: ah, remember those times. Back when tech had not taken over
Riddle Sideways: back when wore no watch
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: back when we read books in the living room
Adams Rubble: watches OK, smart phones have gone too far
Adams Rubble: glad there is this virtual world
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, wondering if this virtual world needs the bookshelf
Adams Rubble: btw, my RL avatar thinks I am a San Franciscan
Adams Rubble: actually live there not in NJ
Riddle Sideways: how so?
Adams Rubble: on the hard drive in SF
Riddle Sideways: the timezone shifted
Riddle Sideways: in the Linden's hard drive timezone
Adams Rubble: I still root for the Iggles
Adams Rubble: hmm. I mostly live on Eastern time
Adams Rubble: it can get confusing but the Buddha would say don't worry your pretty little head about it
Riddle Sideways: Don't Worry, Be Happy - Bobby Macfarin
Adams Rubble: except he would say it in Magadi
Adams Rubble: Magahi
Adams Rubble: wonder if google translate has that
Adams Rubble: nope
Adams Rubble: sorry Buddha
Adams Rubble: something happened this morning
Riddle Sideways: ha, was looking Magadi up too
Adams Rubble: AR is emerging
Adams Rubble: it started with exploring dreams
Riddle Sideways: a town
Adams Rubble: it is Magahi
Adams Rubble: the language
Riddle Sideways: Magadhi
Riddle Sideways: but, we got the context
Adams Rubble: yes, spelled both ways - that was what confused me
Adams Rubble: not Magadi though
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: interesting
Riddle Sideways: all the Buddha's words that I have read are in english
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: Buddha's words in any other language sound just as sweet
Adams Rubble: shhh
Riddle Sideways: will be tackling the Buddha et.al. bookshelf today or soon
Riddle Sideways: need to calculate how many to keep
Adams Rubble nods
Adams Rubble: so many Buddhist books
Riddle Sideways: so little time
Riddle Sideways: ha, found a book on Time
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: moved that to the front
Riddle Sideways: however 4 others got moved in front of it
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: In related News: the LFL (little free library) project is not quite done (wait for utility company to state where gas lines are) and already have enough books for it that 2 extensions will be needed
Adams Rubble: nice
Riddle Sideways: want a camera to find out who takes the Aikido books
Riddle Sideways: probably would be invasion of privacy
Riddle Sideways: want to know who in the neighborhood should invite to the next bookclub
Adams Rubble: nice if books can find a new home
Riddle Sideways: who knows. Mrs Jones may be vastly interested in your Buddhist books
Riddle Sideways: and you could share experiences
Adams Rubble: well thank you for hosting today and putting up with my busy distracting schedule
Riddle Sideways: thank you for putting up with the rambling mind
Adams Rubble: I put up with mine all the time. hehe
Riddle Sideways: mine mind
Adams Rubble: minding mind
Adams Rubble: winding mind
Adams Rubble: wining mind
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: mind mining
Adams Rubble: sailing
Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Riddle Sideways: ok, by All
Adams Rubble: OK, yes bye
Adams Rubble: off to the sea
Riddle Sideways: nice
