This book manuscript was started here on the PaB wiki in July 2010.  For the time being, it will remain just a draft.  I hope to finish a complete version by some time in 2011.

Each chapter ends with a suggested exploration, a kind of open-ended experiment that the reader is invited to embark upon.  I prefer not to call it "exercise" since that word suggest that you are trying to learn to reproduce something that others have explored before.  Rather, I hope that each reader will explore the suggestions given here in their own unique way.

While this book was written, a group of readers started to contributed reports of their explorations for each chapter, as soon as the chapter appeared here on the web in draft form.  The chapters were written at a pace of one chapter every two weeks.  Therefore, for each chapter there are two weekly installments featuring a number of different reports each.
