Adams Dubrovna: I am working on bringing things I learned into RL and I am getting better at it. One thing here is that we are reacting to a bunch of friends and so it is easier

Sylectra Darwin:  We are all from different backgrounds, and not necessarily religious.
Sylectra Darwin:  I find it very refreshing to hear from all the various philosophies.

Threedee Shepherd: Prospero, I observe that there is "something here" about PaB that *works* and does so in different ways for each of us.

Gaya Ethaniel: different people at PaB offer unique point of views that i can absorb as i see it fit

Storm Nordwind: So without PaB, I would certainly have missed meeting some amazing people, that is true
Storm Nordwind: But I think I would have missed a lot more
    Gaya Ethaniel: A lot more?
Storm Nordwind: The experiences that the practices have brought me
    Gaya Ethaniel nods
doug Sosa: I like the easy talking here, so unlike most zen places.
doug Sosa: easy talk with great practice.

    Fael Illyar: No teachers here
Gaya Ethaniel: We are our best teachers...
Quilty Bookmite: I have a Zen teacher in RL but in the end everything is a teacher.
Quilty Bookmite: My 18 month old daughter has taught me a lot. :-)
    Gaya Ethaniel nods 'hence 'we''
Fael Illyar: teacher would be a bit off there.
Fael Illyar: Every one of us has something to teach but also something to learn.

    • Is four meetings per day too much?

from: 2008.09.08 19:00 - Living in a Cave is Not Simple

stevenaia Michinaga: I think it's nice to know that a session is only a few hours from any time, even if there is only a guardian there
doug Sosa: i agree, i like the presence of lots of time slots even if i can't be at most.
stevenaia Michinaga: but sometimes a conversation between two people can be very interesting
stevenaia Michinaga: rather than a group
doug Sosa: yes, even one person here alone can be good.

    • We appreciate the uniqueness of our members.

from "Shedding everything to become a child ", 2008, July 27, Sunday

Adams Rubble: How about you Pia, how have you changed?
Pia Iger: in one line, I can say I accept more of myself and other ppl.
Pia Iger: and here, in PaB, I can appreciate the difference of every guardians.
Adams Rubble: ah yes, I have become more focused on people in the group
Adams Rubble: and caring about them more
Adams Rubble: is that what you are saying?
Pia Iger: yes. part of it.
Adams Rubble: and noticing their changes too?
Pia Iger: not everyone, just the frequents.
Adams Rubble: yes, that makes sense :)
    Adams Rubble: exactly!
    Wol Euler nods
Pia Iger: but I deeply appreciate, even in awe of how unique everyone is here.
    Adams Rubble: Yes! :)

    •  We were glad to find this special group:

    from 2008, June 23,  A 9-second moment

stevenaia Michinaga: I haven;t stopped, as you can meet so many lovely people
Thorberg Nordlicht: similar story for me: found this group by chance; would have missed it if i’d wandered by at a different time; first time i’ve socialized since starting in sl 18 months ago
Sylectra Darwin: did it open up whole new worlds to you like it did me?
Thorberg Nordlicht: well, i find this prefereable to the sl “club” scene
    Sylectra Darwin: more meaningful interactions
Thorberg Nordlicht: i find it’s the only place in sl i can carry on a coherent conversation with most people i meet
Thorberg Nordlicht: whereas i *cannot* carry on a coherent conversation with most avatars i encounter in the sl clubs
Thorberg Nordlicht: i think it’s amazing how the group has matured in only a few months
Thorberg Nordlicht: undoubtedly as a result of the hard work of our founders
Sylectra Darwin: I like the openness.
Thorberg Nordlicht: but besides that, there seems to be a “right place, right time” thing going on to bring together this particular group of people in this medium (SL) at this time
Sylectra Darwin: Cool deal. Trippy, even.
stevenaia Michinaga: and don;t forget the right people…pema
Pia Iger: Cultivating this group needs open-heart and open-mind, which is rare.
Thorberg Nordlicht: i guess part of what i’m saying is there are probably lots of avatars in recent SL history who thought, “how ’bout we start this group, and…” and they have great plans, but somehow it just *doesn’t* all come together
Thorberg Nordlicht: i just think it’s an interesting phenomenon going on that PasB *does* seems to be working on some level
