Gaya Ethaniel: Well I can only speak for myself…
Gaya Ethaniel: 9 sec experiences somewhat ‘calmer’ ‘clear’ & ‘broader’ than my other ‘day-dreaming’

Maxine Walden: Have you had a variety of experiences in the 9 sec practice?
Starseed Xue: yes. often times i am in awe of life itself
Starseed Xue: i wonder what it is and who created it , how did it begin
Maxine Walden: the origins of it all?
    Starseed Xue: yes
Maxine Walden: it is almost too much to envision for me at times, can't get my mind around it...
Starseed Xue: its beyond human understanding
Maxine Walden: probably is beyond human understanding, so much is beyond understanding...really makes me  humble
Starseed Xue: at least, in our current state
Starseed Xue: by that i mean, if we were to evolve to a higher level, maybe then we could understand
Maxine Walden: what might consitutite a higher level in this thought?
Starseed Xue: a new level of consciousness
Starseed Xue: a better understanding of mind and what it’s capable of
Maxine Walden: yes, that may be what we are searching for exploring about in these practices
    Starseed Xue: yes

stevenaia Michingana: do you have the opportunity to take your 9 second moments during the day Neela?
Neela Blaisdale: … Yes sometimes but not every hour
Neela Blaisdale: But somehow the whole process has helped to make me more mindful in general. In other words I do try to stay in the moment much more than I used to before PaB
    Rowan Masala: that's great Neela
stevenaia Michingana: I noticed that it does not necessarily give "now" to me as it puts me somewhere else
Rowan Masala: where do you think it puts you, Steven?
stevenaia Michingana: I'm usually pretty present with the moment, so the 9s give me a new perspective on the moment
    Neela Blaisdale: Interesting
Rowan Masala: what sort of perspective?
stevenaia Michingana: if that makes sense, but then I do it only now and then, like at these meetings
    stevenaia Michingana: an external perspective
stevenaia Michingana: like Being sees the moment

    ...

Pema Pera: What happens for me is that the very moment I start a 9-sec exercise, I am reminded of Being, and it is as if a window opens in a stuffy room, fresh air instantly there, or another image: sunlight streaming in freely in an otherwise dark room

And almost instantaneously I feel the presence of Being, in and as everything beyond its seeimingly thingness. I feel and see myself as an appearance without substance, an illusion, but a valuable and rich one that I deeply respect, together with all other aspects of appearance in this realm where we find ourselves.
I feel the responsibility to celebrate in a genuine and natural way what IS, and I feel the trust that I can just step aside and let that happen, without any effort from my side.

Then in the next second, all that settles and takes a bath in time so to speak. The initial instant is connected with all time all space, the next second is like stepping into the train of time, and seeing it leaving the platform.

Then the next 8 seconds are again very different, seem very very long . . . ., a little lifetime, another reincarnation, and during that time anything can happen, vision-like images, or thoughts, or any sensory impressions, memories, fantasies, or sometimes just silence, even boredom or dullness, but wonderful boredom and wonderful dullness, since they are expressions of Being.

    ...
Pema Pera: would you like to try another 9 seconds? Not to put you on the spot, but it may be fun to just try
Bertrum Quan: okay–not fun, but interesting
Pema Pera: I hope it's fun too! (^_^)
Pema Pera: play is important — hence not "deftly studying Being" but rather "Play as Being"

Bertrum Quan: yes, the play's the thing that will…. i can give more of an answer this time…
Pema Pera: please feel free to do so, in whatever way
Bertrum Quan: my response is whole– feeling contradictory feelings at the same time: movement and lack of movement, breath and lack of breath, sounds of like and silence.
    Bertrum Quan: not like–life

Pema Pera: glad to hear that, Bertrum! — isn't it nice to just allow yourself to explore?
Pema Pera: No judgment, no expectations, just do it
Pema Pera: I recommend to keep a lab journal at hand, a note book or just a piece of paper or a computer file
Pema Pera: and just to jot down whatever comes up during the 9 seconds
Pema Pera: the very fact of recording helps to focus the mind
Pema Pera: and later it may be interesting to reread

    ...
Pia Iger: actually i just realized all 9 secs I have been done, makes me feel very "good" or "peaceful". I don't know what word to use. anyway the feeling is very comforting.
Pema Pera: from the beginning, Pia?
Pia Iger: more and more clearly like this, Pema
Pia Iger: I find I can get happiness right away, once I do 9sec anyway
Pema Pera: very glad to hear that, Pia!
Pema Pera: I have also found something similar, that the 9-secs become more and more powerful the longer you practice, and the quality of "power" changes, becomes more subtle
Pia Iger: It's like you already have happiness on hand, as long as you look at it.
Pema Pera: yes, very much so!
Pema Pera: like ground water welling up
