Adams Kira: This is my first time out in over a year

Adams Kira: last night my RL avatar did the lynching talk again for a small group at his house
Riddle Sideways: as it happens, just got a Kira group notice too
Riddle Sideways: ah, a RL presentation

Adams Kira: also, the anti-Semitism resolution passed the town council but the hate of anyone voicing opposition to Israel is continuing
Adams Kira: surprised to see so much hate coming from religious leaders
Riddle Sideways: it is a shame
Adams Kira: I shouldn't be, but it is distressing to see ignorance and pain coming from people who should be at peace
Adams Kira: how can you be a religious leader when you can not see your connection with others?
Adams Kira: I am not wise enough to see what can be done about the divisions
Riddle Sideways: good Rhetorical questions
Riddle Sideways: Only seeing the connection to Mine, and not Others
Riddle Sideways: There are subjects that ones are blind to

Adams Kira: last night after the talk led a group of RLers on a tour of all the Museum of Sacred and Narrative Art exhibitions
Adams Kira: they are interested now in getting avatars

Riddle Sideways: an author had a book on the best seller list for a few weeks
Riddle Sideways: and was constantly checking Amazon reviews

Riddle Sideways: then would go read the 1 of 5 star trash reviews
Riddle Sideways: and get upset

Riddle Sideways: a week or two later had a thought
Riddle Sideways: and looked up the people that had given bad reviews
Riddle Sideways: to see what they did like
Adams Kira: nuthin!
Riddle Sideways: would think that, but no
Riddle Sideways: some rated a case of water with 5 stars
Riddle Sideways: one rated an Amazon Gift card as a 5
Riddle Sideways: Most of the show then went on to think though other parts of the life experience that We Rate
Riddle Sideways: It did ease the author's mind to know that the bad raters were just confused people

Adams Kira: Neil Degrasse Tyson was on the Colbert Show last week and asked Stephen if he knew why earth Day came about in 1970
Adams Kira: He said that in 1970 we had a moon exploration program that discovered earth
Adams Kira: we got to the moon and looked around and for the first time saw our planet
Adams Kira: no colorful countries like the globe in the librray

Adams Kira: the EPA came out of it and many other agencies as people began to get concerned
Adams Kira: why do I brong this up?
Adams Kira: the Internet birthed the rating system as a way of evaluating anonymous sellers

Adams Kira: now this rating system has exploded into everyday life

Riddle Sideways: thinking back to discussions of what would you buy online and from whom and would you trust them
Riddle Sideways: eBay or maybe some other. started out holding your money until the product got to you and checked
Riddle Sideways: then the ratings came to make-break a reputation
Riddle Sideways: use to show the Internet to kids, grandma
Riddle Sideways: now still showing SL to people
Riddle Sideways: now they want an avatar

Adams Kira: some people probably saved money for a while to take a cruise

Adams Kira: I was waiting for Wol's annual rant and realized this was an American thing changing this early
