    Agatha Macbeth: Very little
    Agatha Macbeth: If anything
    Agatha Macbeth: Not dead yet

Eliza Madrigal: fries might have upped the nutrition level
    Riddle Sideways: hahahaha, so shameful
Agatha Macbeth thinks of Clint and his magnum
    Eliza Madrigal is bad
    Agatha Macbeth: You is
Mickorod Renard: hi, I am an ice cream feind
Agatha Macbeth votes for a group spanking

    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eliza Madrigal: And then there are the wasted hours refreshing twitter feed...
Mickorod Renard: today is the first day I recall i havnt had any, I am glad you reminded me

    Riddle Sideways: Meese
    Mickorod Renard: careful Ags
    Riddle Sideways: of what?
Agatha Macbeth watches Liz's shoes get wet
Eliza Madrigal: they are made of rubber
    Agatha Macbeth: Can't knock that!
Agatha Macbeth: Read any good books lately?
    Eliza Madrigal looks at Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: ha! always :)
Mickorod Renard: I dont seem to have any time any more
Agatha Macbeth: It's all that breeding Mick
Eliza Madrigal: I have several books in line to read but keep getting diverted... like with the new Vietnam documentary
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
Bleu Oleander: a beautiful book ... "the Birds" by Tarjei Vesaas
    Agatha Macbeth: Do tell
    Mickorod Renard: I know..Ags
    Eliza Madrigal: fiction, Bleu?
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Agatha Macbeth: Is it old VN or the modern version?

Bleu Oleander: Norwegian author ... read another by him, "the Ice Palace" amazing
    Agatha Macbeth listens to Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: oooh I remember hearing about that
    Eliza Madrigal: maybe from you
    Agatha Macbeth: Anything like Frozen?
Bleu Oleander: probably from me :)
Eliza Madrigal: sometime around when we did have ice in PaB
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: also reading "Paradise Lost" ... never read it before
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: Wish Bruce was here
Bleu Oleander: Adam and Eve on steroids :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Riiight
Bleu Oleander: Milton was an interesting character!
Agatha Macbeth: And they got thrown out of Eden by the judges
    Eliza Madrigal: voted off
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: No steroids in this paradise
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Riddle Sideways: drug testing
Riddle Sideways: is the new Vietnam series a book also?
Agatha Macbeth: Well who knows what was in that apple?
Bleu Oleander: I think there is a book
Eliza Madrigal: I haven't seen anything about a book...
Eliza Madrigal: but it took 20 years to complete
    Eliza Madrigal: quite incredible
Bleu Oleander: too long and depressing for me ... stuck with it for the first 4 tho
    Agatha Macbeth: Like LOTR
Eliza Madrigal: there is so much footage, but they've woven it together with personal stories in a beautiful way
Agatha Macbeth: I find it hard to imagine you depressed somehow
Riddle Sideways: well, took 30years for the war
Eliza Madrigal: it was episode 4 before I felt gutted, powerful
Bleu Oleander: makes me sad to realize how bad humans can be
Eliza Madrigal: how quickly we forget
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh believe it
Riddle Sideways: nope, went right to gutted on first eps
    Bleu Oleander: yes me too
Agatha Macbeth: At least we're getting better
    Bleu Oleander: are we?
    Riddle Sideways: ?
    Agatha Macbeth: I think so
    Riddle Sideways: good for you
Agatha Macbeth: Middle ages were far worse
Bleu Oleander: I'm not so sure
Eliza Madrigal tries to mind meld with Aggers to get through the week
Eliza Madrigal: :) I think so too, in heart of hearts, that there is some learning...
Eliza Madrigal: but hard to see that sometimes
Bleu Oleander: I'm generally optimistic but its getting harder to remain so
Riddle Sideways: couldn't even watch a non-polical football game
Mickorod Renard: I feel fortunate that I have lived the generation that I am in
Eliza Madrigal now knows the names of several players
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Riddle Sideways: Teresa Kaepernick (his mom) fired off a fine quote
    Mickorod Renard: listens
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: in response to the "they are all Sons of Bitchs"
Riddle Sideways: she wrote "at least I am a Proud Bitch
    Eliza Madrigal: :) yay Mama
    Agatha Macbeth: Woof
Riddle Sideways: ok, gets down from soapbox
Eliza Madrigal: that shows optimism on her part
Eliza Madrigal: Mick, what is it that makes you feel fortunate?
Agatha Macbeth: Being with us helps...
Eliza Madrigal: about the times I mean :)
Eliza Madrigal: It does me, Agatha!
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Bleu Oleander: all times have their good and bad aspects
Mickorod Renard: I have seen so many things evolve but have avoided being drawn into military duty in conflics
Mickorod Renard: I feel more like a witness
    Eliza Madrigal: profound observation actually
Bleu Oleander: we are all witness, if only subjectively from our unique points of view
Mickorod Renard: I almost feel like time doesnt exist outside my life but that it is just a backdrop to my story
Eliza Madrigal: Today I heard about this concept... a buddhist teacher mentioned it so I looked it up... and I was reading the description going, "Oh, cool" - then realized the page I was reading was from the video game Halo ...
    Eliza Madrigal: "living time"
Agatha Macbeth: Who says gaming isn't educational eh
Eliza Madrigal: if nothing else, these times are profoundly weird :))
    Mickorod Renard: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Works for me
Agatha Macbeth: Still not quite back to '68 but getting there
Eliza Madrigal: among other things, watching the documentary, I wondered where the *music* is
    Mickorod Renard: I was 12 in 68
    Eliza Madrigal: I was -2
    Mickorod Renard: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Music is all around Lizzykins
Agatha Macbeth: Youtube is God's gift
    Riddle Sideways: lol
Mickorod Renard: being 12 in 1968 must have been disturbing
Riddle Sideways: the relive 67 Summer of Love events just ended here
Agatha Macbeth: Did you have flowers in your hair?
Riddle Sideways: being 18 in 1968 was disturbing
Riddle Sideways: so disturbing that me still be
    Riddle Sideways: and yes
Mickorod Renard: I recall the family concern for my brother who is 10 years older than me, as there was a real chance the uk may have taken part in vietnam and my bro would have been conscripted
Mickorod Renard: fortunately the uk was kept out
Riddle Sideways: had a more personal concern with the draft
Mickorod Renard: yes, I can imagine
Riddle Sideways: and the friends that went
Eliza Madrigal: son is 18... makes me not want to imagine
Eliza Madrigal: must have been frightening and impossible feeling
Riddle Sideways: singing Country Joe song
    Eliza Madrigal: 1 2 3...
    Riddle Sideways: yep
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: be the first one on your block, to have your boy come home in a box
Bleu Oleander: such a horrible waste of all those lives lost
Mickorod Renard: oddly enough,,our great national health system we enjoy here was partly to do with keeping as many of us fit to fight in war as anything else. prior to that most of us were seen to be too sick to fight for the rich to save their investments
    Mickorod Renard: oops
    Eliza Madrigal: :(
Mickorod Renard: as soon as they develop a way to send robots to war they will let go of keeping us alibve
Riddle Sideways: and back here in US-land it bent quite a few of us
Eliza Madrigal: that may be what upsets most about these times, that people throw notions about war around far too easily... including people in country glamorizing the idea of civil war and stockpiling weapons :(
Riddle Sideways: and calling other's names
Eliza Madrigal: "culture wars" pushed to the edge... maybe everyone should have the week off and have to watch the documentary several time
    Eliza Madrigal: s*
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Riddle Sideways: ok
Eliza Madrigal: haha - my kinds of solutions
Mickorod Renard: Rumi is a good example
Agatha Macbeth: Our Mick the Rumi fan
    Eliza Madrigal: of faith Mick?
Riddle Sideways: Did Rumi watch the TV series?
Mickorod Renard: he gotta be a bad ass cos he is muslim man
    Eliza Madrigal: :) RumiTV
    Agatha Macbeth Ruminates
Mickorod Renard: I am dropping Rumi on Thursday
Riddle Sideways: Muslim Man, Da na na na na na na na, Muslim Man
Eliza Madrigal: on a personal level, know I should step away from feeds, see through the weeds and button pushing, meditate more
    Agatha Macbeth: Hope he bounces
Eliza Madrigal: had you hoped for a different response Mick?
Agatha Macbeth: If you meditate more Liz life will pass you by :p
Eliza Madrigal: we didn't have much time to talk about what he said... more who he is in history I guess
Mickorod Renard: I thought it may develop deper thinking
    Mickorod Renard: deeper
Eliza Madrigal: "meditate for 30 minutes, if you have no time, meditate for an hour"
Eliza Madrigal: I really believe in that :))
Agatha Macbeth: And don't fall asleep
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Bleu Oleander: whatever makes you feel good :)
Mickorod Renard: I could never do serious meditating but I think I do shallow meditation all the time
Eliza Madrigal: the effect it has on me is usually opposite... that I feel energized
Eliza Madrigal: which is why it is puzzling that I wrestle to keep a discipline
Bleu Oleander: different for everyone I suppose
    Agatha Macbeth: Bouncy pouncy flouncy
    Eliza Madrigal: definitely
    Agatha Macbeth: Speaking of which...
    Agatha Macbeth: onigokko
