The Guardian for this meeting was Adams Rubble. The comments are by Adams Rubble.

In this exciting episode of PlayasBeing Here, among other things, I learn from Xirana that Picasso drew from a painting of Rubens for his Guernica.

Xirana Oximoxi: 's current display-name is "Xirana".
    Adams Rubble: Hello Xirana :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Adams! :)
Adams Rubble: It has been a while since I have seen you
Adams Rubble: nice to see you :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes:) nice to see you too! :)
Adams Rubble: I hope you are well
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, thank you...just a bit less in SL..I am working illustrating tales and I am really concentrated doing it, learning and enjoying it:)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: how have you been?
Adams Rubble: It is good to do something one enjoys
    Adams Rubble: I am OK
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes :)
Adams Rubble: I think of you whenever I catalog something that is in a Barcelona repository or created there
Xirana Oximoxi: are you preparing any new Art project in SL?
Adams Rubble: Unfortunately I am too busy in RL right now but it is on my mond
Xirana Oximoxi: ah yes:) do you find things useful in Barcelona for your works?
Adams Rubble: Last Friday I was cataloging some Picasso :)
Adams Rubble: For many years I looked at Guernica in NYC
Xirana Oximoxi: have you ever been here to visit his Museum?
    --BELL--
Xirana Oximoxi: ahh..now it is in Madrid
Adams Rubble: ohhh, I thought it was in Barcelona
Adams Rubble: I have never been to Spain but it is not the only place I have not been to
Adams Rubble: The list is long :)
Xirana Oximoxi: hehe yes...I understand :)
Xirana Oximoxi: have you ever seen the comparation of Guernica of Picasso andthe painting of Rubens?
Xirana Oximoxi: here a picture: http://estaticos01.elmundo.es/especiales/2011/10/cultura/guernica/img/album/08.jpg
Adams Rubble: No I had not seen that. It is interesting
Xirana Oximoxi: not easy to see it well...it's too small...but I went to a conference where it was all analised...really interesting.. most images are reversed from the picture of Rubens
Adams Rubble: I am not familar with that Rubens. Which is it and where is it?
Xirana Oximoxi: I try to find the title of the painting in English, moment
Adams Rubble: Spanish would do :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consequences_of_War
    Xirana Oximoxi: I've found :)
Adams Rubble: Even more interesting :)
Adams Rubble: This is all new to me. I had not thought of Picaaso drawing from older masters but, of course, why not :)
Xirana Oximoxi: it is the most normal thing to do.. we all learn from people before us and recreate them
    Adams Rubble nods
Adams Rubble: It is just that the Picasso we know best was so original and seemingly so impulsive
Adams Rubble: not the right word
    Adams Rubble: so spontaneous
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, I understand what you mean..but his recreation is very original
    Adams Rubble: oh yes
Adams Rubble: I think Guernica may be the greatest painting I ever saw
Adams Rubble: It certainly was overwhelming
Xirana Oximoxi: in my view..it expresses even better the disasters of war...with all images broken...but probably it is a matter of context, a language that actually we understand better
Adams Rubble: I agree with you
Xirana Oximoxi: I mean, than the painting of Rubens :)
Adams Rubble: Of course the Rubens is a product of its time
Xirana Oximoxi: yes :) sure the painting is also amazing if we could see it in RL
Adams Rubble: I was just thinking that Rubens also was very original and spontaneous
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: although he used a big workshop to carry out his designs
Adams Rubble: so not spontaneous in that manner
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...he is a powerful painter
    --BELL--
Xirana Oximoxi: do you celebrate Christmas?
Adams Rubble: yes but not as much as I used to
Adams Rubble: Tend to listen to more music
Xirana Oximoxi: that's also great :)
Adams Rubble: the gift stuff has gotten way out of hand
Xirana Oximoxi: you mean it has become a Fest too comercial?
    Adams Rubble: yes :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: I agree:)
Xirana Oximoxi: in my family we are quite moderate
    Adams Rubble: yes, here too
Xirana Oximoxi: but we do also buy gifts
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Adams Rubble: much less here
Xirana Oximoxi: plus, there are so much people having problems that it seems a bit 'ugly' to spend money in things we really don't need
Adams Rubble: yes income disparity has become ugly
Adams Rubble: The ideal of Peace on Earth still gives us hope
Adams Rubble: even if just for one night
Xirana Oximoxi: very difficult ideal to get...sadly..it seems humans are fighter by nature...
    Adams Rubble: sigh
Xirana Oximoxi: yes..peace for one night :)
Adams Rubble: of course we can have our own inner peace
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...that's important and it's in our hands :)
Adams Rubble: yes, which brings us to DROPPING
    Adams Rubble: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: this is an important PAB word..and I still wonder if I have ever understood it well :))
Adams Rubble: Maybe you had less to drop than some of us
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: maybe :))
Adams Rubble: It is a great relief when is able to drop something we have been carrying around for a long time
    Adams Rubble: some crazy idea
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes
Adams Rubble: that gives us some peace
Adams Rubble: instead of dropping we celebrate Christmas by buying more things
Adams Rubble: adding to the clutter
Xirana Oximoxi: I don't practice meditation..but I am sure it helps to drop..to put our mind in peace
Xirana Oximoxi: well....maybe we need to drop more inner things ... and buying gifts does not change it
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    --BELL--
Adams Rubble: It is no use avoiding oranges when it is apples we need to drop :)
Xirana Oximoxi: ahh nice expression :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: really graphic
Adams Rubble: yes, makes a nice still life too
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes:)
Xirana Oximoxi: do you know that in Spanish we call 'still life'..'death nature' ? Just curious how languages do call things so differently :)
Adams Rubble: yes I am familar with morte natura :)
Adams Rubble: lost something in translation
Xirana Oximoxi: probably in Italian they say it also like this...
Adams Rubble: yes, more familar wiht Italian art terms than Spanish ones
    Adams Rubble: bellissima
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: bellísima = Spanish
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Adams Rubble: :)

Xirana Oximoxi: I will go now Adams, thanks for the nice chat :)
Xirana Oximoxi: and I wish you wonderful time listening to music :)
Adams Rubble: thank you Xirana. It was so nice chatting with you this morning :)
Xirana Oximoxi: see you soon! :)
Adams Rubble: bye for now :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye :)
Adams Rubble: have a wonderful Christmas :)
    Adams Rubble: and Peace
