Riddle Sideways:wondering what reality "Number nine" (The Beatles) was talking about
    Riddle Sideways: beyond the obvious
    Eden Haiku: :)
Riddle Sideways: one of the books is upstairs someplace
Riddle Sideways: the other book (supposedly( explaining Beatles songs has been lent out
Adams Rubble: what is the obvious?
    Riddle Sideways: drugs
Adams Rubble: there is a drug called number 9?
    Riddle Sideways: or attention span
Eden Haiku: Stopping for 9 seconds every 15 minutes?
    Adams Rubble: :)))
    Adams Rubble: number 9
    Riddle Sideways: oh Yes! Eden
    Eden Haiku: The 9th dimension?
Riddle Sideways: ah, the real title in Revolution 9
Riddle Sideways: it is an "Art" piece
Riddle Sideways: so prolly can't be explained
    Eden Haiku: googling....
Adams Rubble: revolution as in spinning around rather than violent uprising?
Eden Haiku: "well, do it next time/ I forgot about it George, I'm sorry/ Will you forgive me?"
    Adams Rubble: yes :)
    Eden Haiku: "Yes:)"
Eden Haiku: "Number 9, number 9, number 9, number 9 etc..."
Eden Haiku: "then there is this Welsh Rarebit wearing some brown underpants/"
Eden Haiku: " About the shortage of grain in Hertfordshire",,,,
    Eden Haiku: Mmmm...
Riddle Sideways: Revolution 1 is the hit song
Eden Haiku: Riddle is bringing us a riddle this morning:)
Riddle Sideways: Say you want a Revolution, weeeellllll
Riddle Sideways: we're doing what we can
Eden Haiku: " rouge doctors have brought this specimen"
    Eden Haiku: Interesting lyrics....
Eden Haiku: Never heard the song :)

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: it would be so much easier to build that song today
Riddle Sideways:John used up to 30 loops
    Eden Haiku: Oh!
Riddle Sideways: now you could have hundreds of samples
Riddle Sideways: and many "artists" do
Adams Rubble: what is a loop?

    Is that Music?

Riddle Sideways: still go to 'exhibits' that have 'Art' pieces
    Riddle Sideways: really don't understand
    Riddle Sideways: "is that Music?"
    Riddle Sideways: probably
    Riddle Sideways: but
    Eden Haiku: but?
Riddle Sideways: but, is it enjoyable music
    Riddle Sideways: Avant-garde
Riddle Sideways: taking a break from 'normal' life and visiting an exhibit
Riddle Sideways: a special avant-garde thing
Eden Haiku: Did you enjoy it Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: oh, yes! and No! and maybe do not even know
Riddle Sideways: one starts to question "enjoy"
Riddle Sideways: hours listening and analyzing
Eden Haiku: Oh, I see what you mean....I do get that feeling sometimes with very avant-garde writing :)
Riddle Sideways: that could be enjoyment
Riddle Sideways: not the ear-to-ear smile type, but still enjoyment
    Eden Haiku: yep!
Eden Haiku: remembers a novel she spent weeks analyzing....It was fascinating and irritating at the same time...
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Eden Haiku: Art that might become mainstream in a few decades
Riddle Sideways: remembering distroying record needles, trying to play that cut backwards
    Eden Haiku: needles...
Riddle Sideways: before your time, Eden :))
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: record player, turntables
Riddle Sideways: are meant to go forward
    Riddle Sideways: always
    Riddle Sideways: like Time
    Riddle Sideways: oh dear!
Adams Rubble: Like our searches for reality, destroying the needles, trying to play it backwards
Eden Haiku: Yes, yes, I'm not as young as I look you know :)
Adams Rubble: starting from the end :)))
    Riddle Sideways: interesting
Riddle Sideways: trying to use the only tech at hand for the wrong direction
Adams Rubble: yes, playing tapes on a turntable
Riddle Sideways: only a play forward thing used to try to play backwards
    Eden Haiku: Hearing the devil?
Riddle Sideways: wreaked the players needle
Riddle Sideways: supposedly, "turn me on, dead man"
Riddle Sideways: hearing the devil was on some other album
Adams Rubble: wasn't that Rolling Stones?
    Riddle Sideways: sounds right
    Eden Haiku: Ah yes...

    --BELL--

Adams Rubble:they couldn't find staisfaction either
Riddle Sideways: if one had the correct equipment availble
Riddle Sideways: the forward only turntable could be recorded onto tape
    Riddle Sideways: the tape reversed
Riddle Sideways: and played without distroying the needle
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Eden Haiku: Paleo-technology cues :)
Adams Rubble: now that is getting a head
Riddle Sideways: how does that Play now?
Riddle Sideways: starting from the end ?

Neurosciences, Revolution 9, and art to fit our needle

Eden Haiku: Listened to a 2 hours conference on YouTube, about neurosciences
    Riddle Sideways: oh, fun!
    Riddle Sideways: fun?
    Eden Haiku: That's in French...but I learnt a lot about child's brain...
Riddle Sideways: does it help with Maxine's book?
Eden Haiku: Yes, the pediatrician, she had a soothing voice and was very clear.
    Riddle Sideways:spoke to your child
Eden Haiku: Yes, It was more about the chemistry of the brain, the dopamine and so on...
Eden Haiku: How little ones are unable to cope with their feelings by themselves
Riddle Sideways:now, wondering if that really changes for oldsters
Eden Haiku: And how they need to be reassured by tender, maternal adults
Riddle Sideways: still hard to cope, come to PaB for your help coping
Eden Haiku: Yes, I think we still need that kind of comfort but we are supposed to be able to regulate our feelings by age 7, and the brain will be mature at age 25. keeping its plasticity afterwards
Eden Haiku: Revolution 9 into little children brains :)
Eden Haiku: Stopping for 9 seconds and starting at the end :)
Adams Rubble: here we go round again
    Eden Haiku: ;;;)
    Eden Haiku: Merry go round
Riddle Sideways: listening to Revolution 9 and not understanding, parking it away for later, having maternal comfortly helping cope
Riddle Sideways: aging a bit, then listening again
Riddle Sideways: the brash avant-garde becomes a little more normal
    Adams Rubble: broken needles--no worries
    Riddle Sideways: "You become Naked"
Eden Haiku: That's a good example of resilience Riddle :)
Eden Haiku:parking it away for later
Eden Haiku: Putting things on ice
    Riddle Sideways: was 17ish listening

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: coming back to the riddle with a fresh mind
Riddle Sideways: then 20ish and understanding or faking it more
Eden Haiku: faking it hehe, faking understanding, that’s resilient too :)
Eden Haiku: fake it until you get it :)
Riddle Sideways: so many Internet bloggers are 'explaining" it now
    Eden Haiku: Oh?
Eden Haiku: And how do you understand it now, if I may ask?
Riddle Sideways: not having to listen and understand. can have lots of self-proclainmed experts explain all
Riddle Sideways: one says it was just some random sound bites at hand put in
Riddle Sideways: another knows it is deep and meaningful
Riddle Sideways: another says it is Art and beyond explanation
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: And what's your own take?
Riddle Sideways: "when they visited the planet and opened the time capsule there was a recording that explained the demise of the race"
Riddle Sideways: Number 9. Number 9
    Eden Haiku: :)
    Riddle Sideways: Or Not
Riddle Sideways:art survives, but does it always reflect reality?
Riddle Sideways: did our race really look like Pacaso's pictures portraits?

Adams Rubble: there always is other art that speaks to us
Adams Rubble: art is just one person's, or one's group's, view
Adams Rubble:art to fit our needle
Eden Haiku: Ou need of needles :)
Eden Haiku:wonders what Pacaso's art looks like LOL
    Adams Rubble: :)))
Riddle Sideways: so Nice, that thought is going to haunt the rest of today
    Riddle Sideways: the needle thought
    Riddle Sideways: speeling is optional
Eden Haiku: rounds faces with straight lines and no squares :)
Eden Haiku: loves your speeling dear Riddle :)
