Riddle Sideways: Welcome, leaping in Adams
Adams Rubble: Hello Riddle :)
Adams Rubble: Landing Adams today. I just flew in from Mugunghwa
Adams Rubble: How are you?
Riddle Sideways: And boy are your arms tired ㋡
Adams Rubble: hehe
Adams Rubble: I came down the coast today
Adams Rubble: then across
Riddle Sideways: nice route
Adams Rubble: could see you green dor from Rieull
Adams Rubble: dot
Riddle Sideways: there use to be connected land across there
Adams Rubble: yes
Adams Rubble: now one has to be careful of yellow tape
Adams Rubble: my route did not have any today
Riddle Sideways: did not see your yellow dot until 2 hops out
Hot
Riddle Sideways: much cooler today
Adams Rubble: warm here today
Riddle Sideways: down 30 degrees
Adams Rubble: ohhh, youi had some terrible weather out there
Riddle Sideways: will be only 80s
Adams Rubble: 80s here today too
Riddle Sideways: whether the weather goes right to you
Riddle Sideways: 117 in this village
Adams Rubble: Remnants of harvery went over Saturday night into Sunday--exited through NJ
Riddle Sideways: even hotter farther inland
Adams Rubble: wow, I knew it was 107 in SF and was wondering
Riddle Sideways: oh! had not been following the path
Adams Rubble: now we are watching Irma which is threatening Florida this weekend
Riddle Sideways: a friend posted onto FB a photo of themometer and cast iron pan with an egg broken into it
Adams Rubble: Glocal warming is a pain
Riddle Sideways: mercury was completely at the top
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: ouch
Riddle Sideways: we were driving down California
Riddle Sideways: with the A/C cranked up
Riddle Sideways: watching the outside temps
Adams Rubble: do you have ac in house?
Riddle Sideways: no
Adams Rubble: ouch
Riddle Sideways: none of the houses around here
Adams Rubble: the malls?
Riddle Sideways: 111 then 113 then 116
Adams Rubble: we used to all go the mall before we had AC on hot days
Riddle Sideways: then road turned back to coast
Riddle Sideways: and it would dive to 82
Adams Rubble: wowza
Riddle Sideways: glimse of shore with hundreds of beach people
Riddle Sideways: cousin we were visiting has A/C
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: however, it was only half working
Adams Rubble: popular cousin this week?
Adams Rubble: ohhhh
Riddle Sideways: into bedroom side of house
Riddle Sideways: am not going to even pretend to understand weather
Riddle Sideways: but, would Harvey have any effect toward the heat?
Adams Rubble: it would block the sun but hurricanes can bring warm soggy air up from south
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: Harvey met a Canadian Cold Front on way to NJ
Riddle Sideways: wondering about it stalling west to east winds
Adams Rubble: awful what happened in Texas
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: kept hearing how bad Texas was doing and almost everytime there would be a mention of India, Pakistan, Banglidash
Adams Rubble: oh yes
Riddle Sideways: OK, here is a 'Fun' thing
Riddle Sideways: it is really hard to find last Saturday's weather radar maps
Adams Rubble listens
Riddle Sideways: The Internet keeps everything
Riddle Sideways: soooo, where are all old radar maps?
Riddle Sideways: one can only look forward
Riddle Sideways: the Now and Future
Riddle Sideways: or maybe 2-3 hours ago
Riddle Sideways: are the search engines knowing that nobody would really want those results?
Riddle Sideways: and saving us from them?
Riddle Sideways: Or did they 'go away'
Adams Rubble: Is that a philosophical question of a technical one. hehe
Riddle Sideways: thinking it might be a philosophical one
Adams Rubble: Pema got to the maps and they are starting from the end
Riddle Sideways: maybe technical/grammarical as to what the search phrase should be
Riddle Sideways: YES!!!
Adams Rubble: seriously, maybe you are searching the site and not the maps
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm
Riddle Sideways: prolly
Adams Rubble: the maps are put up temporarily
Adams Rubble: maybe connected to a generator
Riddle Sideways: putting Saturday's date in search string finds the "Forecast" for last Saturday
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm Forecast
Riddle Sideways: is there even a word "Backcast"?
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: another philosophical question?
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: beautiful sunset over Hangui
Riddle Sideways: So many philosophical questions
Riddle Sideways: when do answers come
Adams Rubble: whoops
Adams Rubble: do you know that control-s makes us jump up
Adams Rubble: was trying to get my camera to work
Adams Rubble: for the sunset
Adams Rubble was never very good at philosophy
Adams Rubble: faulty philosophical brain cells
Riddle Sideways: was never very good at alt-control-shift combinations of Cam
Riddle Sideways: faulty at answering or asking philosophicals
Riddle Sideways: thinking very few would be faulty at asking
Riddle Sideways: takes a real wise guy to answer them
Riddle Sideways: Or the Fool on the Hill
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: certainly true when one has faulty philisophical brain cells
Riddle Sideways: might be onto something here... about religions
Adams Rubble listens
Riddle Sideways: each Religion has a book or many books with vague answering phrases
Riddle Sideways: full of parallel stories that kind of answer philosophical questions
Riddle Sideways: and so those that are really really bugged by their own questions
Riddle Sideways: can open a book
Riddle Sideways: and what seemed to be unanswerable
Riddle Sideways: has maybe been answered
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, on the edge of a theory here
Riddle Sideways: mostly every Religion has that
Riddle Sideways: from the oral histories of the village wise guy
Riddle Sideways: who said "take 2 sugar pills and be happy"
Riddle Sideways: to a big book of
Riddle Sideways: lots of similar stories
Riddle Sideways: all with happy endings
Riddle Sideways: which Religion doesn't do that?
Adams Rubble: There was a weather map maker who lived in the village of Sunraincluddark. He worked on weather maps all day well into the night. Everyday he would post a weather map up on the internet tubes. But the old maps soon cluttered up the site and no one could tell the old maps from the new maps. That night he prayed to the great internet god who lived well past the Gates of Apple. What can i do he asked? The great internet god wrote up a new program for the tubes which could tell the old from the new. All the people were happy until one day someone asked where are the old maps. Then everyone was confused and confused.
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: YES!!!!
Adams Rubble: and the people all had a chance to meditate on the passage for 90 seconds
Riddle Sideways: Yes!! that is how it goes
Adams Rubble now has proven the theory about the faulty philiosphical brain cells
Riddle Sideways: all those years of scholarly study prepared you to crank out that new/reworked story
Adams Rubble: it is just sad
Riddle Sideways: no
Riddle Sideways: it has done the wonders
Riddle Sideways: and produced
Riddle Sideways: a smile
Riddle Sideways: laugh
Riddle Sideways: and happiness
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Riddle Sideways: later today when some being presents you with the next silly question ... that seems philosophically leaning
Riddle Sideways: instead of a shrug
Riddle Sideways: just tell the story
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: of how it was worse in the Old Country
Riddle Sideways: of how it is written
Adams Rubble: yes, definitely worse in the old country until it was better
Riddle Sideways: now wondering about a session title of "Religion Cures Philosophicals"
Riddle Sideways: naaaaaaa
Adams Rubble: Three philosophers walk into a bar..........
Riddle Sideways: giggles
Adams Rubble: The first says I'll have a half full glass of whiskey
Adams Rubble: The second says I'll have a half empty glass of whiskey
Adams Rubble: The third asks "what is glass?"
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: The barkeep passes 3 open books across to them
Adams Rubble giggles. The man behind the desk says we do not serve whiskey in the library
Adams Rubble 's fauly philosophical brain cells working awy today
Riddle Sideways: to which the duck says, then give my friend a Bourban
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: everyone knew the duck as nancy
Riddle Sideways: tests have determine: you have the brain cells, they are working
Adams Rubble: I hope this week is much cooler out there
Riddle Sideways: went the hour without telling of the hours of Beatles radio
Riddle Sideways: the 5 hour drive had satellite radio
Adams Rubble: and I hope no one get too whacked with irma
Riddle Sideways: the Beatles channel
Riddle Sideways: heard the top 100
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: as voted by listeners
Riddle Sideways: narrated by Peter Asher
Riddle Sideways: But, that is another subject for another day
Riddle Sideways: O bla dee
Adams Rubble: yes, nothing like a car ride when one needs AC :)
Adams Rubble: which was first?
Riddle Sideways: a ha .... you just want the end of the story
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: #2 - In my Life
Adams Rubble waits
Riddle Sideways: #1 - A Day in the Life
Riddle Sideways: Voting is so strange
Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: All should just follow the Book(s)
Riddle Sideways: as it is written
Adams Rubble imagines an argument about the number 1 Dylan song
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: And the Internet filled with Top 10 lists
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: top ten PaB sessions
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm
Riddle Sideways: "place your votes, listeners"
Adams Rubble: there will be a marathon reading of the logs for the next four months
Riddle Sideways: heyyyy, that actually is a good project for the 10th
Riddle Sideways: once again, silliness turns
Riddle Sideways: into something
Adams Rubble: read by Sean Connery
Riddle Sideways: and William Shackner
Riddle Sideways: Who shall do the voice of Adams?
Riddle Sideways: Enough ...
Riddle Sideways: go forth
Riddle Sideways: and have your Best day
Adams Rubble: stay cool and have a very nice day/week
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: thanks
Adams Rubble: same time, same station
Adams Rubble: next week
Riddle Sideways: ㋡
