Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: careful leaping today
Riddle Sideways: no going into the pool
    Adams Rubble: yes, brrrrrrrr
    Riddle Sideways: cold there?
Riddle Sideways: warm and rainy here

Adams Rubble: our third Nor-easter has just struck a glancing blow
Riddle Sideways: glancing blows still hurt
Adams Rubble: snow on trees was enough to bring down the big branch that had broken in last Nor-easter
Adams Rubble: it came down safely thank goodness
Adams Rubble: did not kill anyone
    Adams Rubble: or maim then
Adams Rubble: or knock them out
Adams Rubble: safely on the ground
Riddle Sideways: a nice safe landing
    Riddle Sideways: firewood?
Adams Rubble: just like some of our thoughts :)
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Adams Rubble: no stove or fireplace here
Riddle Sideways: mmm, have a fireplace and wood, wonder why no fire this year
Adams Rubble: do you have matches, she asks snarkly
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: need to research if air quality laws, regs or whatever frown on it
    Riddle Sideways: later
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: fireplace heats the house unevenly
Riddle Sideways: that getting hot air to go downstairs principle

Adams Rubble: I have a topic suggestion
    Riddle Sideways: oh good
    Riddle Sideways: done with weather
Adams Rubble: why is self love so difficult for westerners
Adams Rubble: Of course, not narcissism
    Riddle Sideways: of course
Adams Rubble: it is a difficult topic
Riddle Sideways: Love itself is so difficult for westerners
Adams Rubble: hmmm, for males anyway
Riddle Sideways: do you think the Prodesent work ethic helped form it?
Adams Rubble: the patriarchy has its demands
Adams Rubble thinks about the Protestant work ethic
    Riddle Sideways: ty for spleting
Adams Rubble: I think we should leave the Protestant work ethic out of it because we have Catholic Guilt and maybe look at the Judeo-Christian tradition
    Riddle Sideways: ok
Adams Rubble: but the basic teaching of jesus and St Paul is love
Adams Rubble: Gid is love and love is God
    Adams Rubble: God, not Gid
Riddle Sideways: how far back did self love go wrong
                   --BELL--
Adams Rubble: interesting question; we could ask when did that happen in each of us
Adams Rubble: we were shamed at times as children to varying degrees
Adams Rubble: so we learned it
Riddle Sideways: so early as to not remember
Adams Rubble: I can't begin to think when it happened to society
Adams Rubble: not good at Greco-Roman religions nor the northern european pagan religions in my own case
Riddle Sideways: Google went sideways on the question and found papers on Self Esteem
    Adams Rubble: hmmmm
Riddle Sideways: and it thinks westerners have more self esteem

Adams Rubble: I'd like to define self-love as the ability to love others freely
    Riddle Sideways: ok
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: self esteem is tricky because what seems to be going on may not be true
Adams Rubble: bragging can be a mask
Adams Rubble: hmmm, self esteem a mask?
Riddle Sideways: so hard to see one's own mask

Adams Rubble: yes, so important to watch ourselves every 15 minutes for nine seconds
Adams Rubble gilles at the PaB plug
    Adams Rubble: giggles
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Riddle Sideways: will have to try that
    Adams Rubble nods

Riddle Sideways: remembering the Adams blog and alphabet of what was going on that 15min
Riddle Sideways: how many were Love

    Riddle Sideways: related?
Adams Rubble: The ability to love has been an ongoing theme
Adams Rubble: when I stared I was very impatient :)
Adams Rubble: yet here I am still
Riddle Sideways: was so much younger then
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: remember spending so much time studying your codes
Riddle Sideways: they were Your words though
    Adams Rubble: sorry about that
Riddle Sideways: so, had to make up My words
    Riddle Sideways: codes
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: BrM = breath meditation
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: do you still use that list?

Riddle Sideways: or on the wall
Adams Rubble: I was just looking at my list :)
Adams Rubble: IIETBA - It is enough to be alive
Riddle Sideways: that was a hard one
Adams Rubble: I first heard that sitting on a snow mountain plateau in in Bodhi Land, that wonderful sim that was here when I first cam into SL

    Adams Rubble: https://rubblebornthoughts.wordpress...abbreviations/

Adams Rubble: The idea of the codes was that in 9 seconds it was dfficult to express everything so I had a shorthand to make it easier
Adams Rubble: sometimes I used to spend over 15 minutes blogging and still be blogging when the next 9 seconds rolled around
Adams Rubble: I needed some 15 minutes for life :)
Riddle Sideways: as if that was not life
Riddle Sideways: ha, both are off into re-reading the list

                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: hey, had never seen that "Follow" button at the bottom
Adams Rubble: sorry that I have been quiet; looking at the list has made me think about that practice
    Riddle Sideways: Yes!
    Riddle Sideways: went there also
Riddle Sideways: each abbreviation is a trip off for 15 minutes
Adams Rubble: nows the time for "we were younger then..."
    Riddle Sideways: Love
    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: "What the World needs now..."
    Riddle Sideways: "is Love"
    Riddle Sideways: "Sweet Love"
    Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: no, not for some, but for everyone
Riddle Sideways: that song is up in the top 10 of songs that are good to have stuck in head
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Adams Rubble: :)

Adams Rubble vows to do a post or two or three using each one of the abbreviations
    Riddle Sideways: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cW8Alo_5uI
    Riddle Sideways: for the log
    Riddle Sideways: careful vowing
Riddle Sideways: it would be nice
Riddle Sideways: but not demanded ㋡
    Adams Rubble: a goal
Adams Rubble giggles. If the Eagles can win a super bowl, Rubble can use each of the abbreviations

Riddle Sideways: 10 years of practices
Riddle Sideways: and still working on them

    Adams Rubble: :)

    Riddle Sideways: giggles

Adams Rubble: well my friend, the clock as ticked away another 60 minutes
Riddle Sideways: thank you, my friend
Adams Rubble: a much better use of our time than getting aggitated about what is going on elsewhere
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: this was a good hour
Adams Rubble: thank you for pointing me toward the abbreviations
Adams Rubble: I should define each one in my post

Was writing about similar yesterday, the top-down yet also bottom-up structure of:

    1) Devotion intention: "Love ___"
(Being, G-d, Great Love, Universe, Great Knowledge(? see below), Ultimate, etc.)

In which context I think what you're describing as self love would thrive (intuition, openness, trust).

    2) "Other as self."

As a natural expression of 1).

Self-knowledge is not a piece of property to be offered and accepted. It is a new dimension altogether, where there is nothing to give or take.

Makes me think of YSBS of course, but the controversial "ES" is sort of in there invisibly, like "no self".
