Adams Dubrovna: :)
Riddle Sideways: what selection process got you here today? ㋡
Adams Dubrovna: It is less a selection process that who is emerged
Adams Dubrovna: than, not that
Adams Dubrovna: then, not than
Riddle Sideways: there that is straight
Riddle Sideways: some choices just automagically get made
Adams Dubrovna nods
Riddle Sideways: walk into a pavillion and take the first cushion
Adams Dubrovna: I am looking at a new monitor but you probably can't tell
Riddle Sideways: nope, hard to tell from here
Riddle Sideways: you can see clearer now, the haze is gone
Adams Dubrovna: funny how that works
Riddle Sideways: think that was a song

Riddle Sideways: it feels
Adams Dubrovna: yes
Adams Dubrovna: the companies want us to replace equipment
Riddle Sideways: the economy is not meant for us to be Happy Everafter with one product
Adams Dubrovna nods
Adams Dubrovna: no passing on useful things to the next generation
Riddle Sideways: remember the dejected cat face when the old huge warm CRT monitor left the building
Adams Dubrovna: now that was an improvement
Adams Dubrovna: except for cats
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: when did our houses become museums of old retired Stuff
Adams Dubrovna: the cats are lucky no one has introduced new solid-state cats
Riddle Sideways: sorry, read some articles about robot cats in retirement homes
Adams Dubrovna: whooops
Riddle Sideways: field testing of Ferby-type cats
Adams Dubrovna: no more cat vomit to step in with bare feet in the morning
Riddle Sideways: soft stuffed animals that purr when pet
Adams Dubrovna: awww
Riddle Sideways: maybe a newer model can leave vomit in pathways
Riddle Sideways: it would be hard to replace this cat who is asleep not watching the driveway
Riddle Sideways: wait, no it would not
Adams Dubrovna: ha ha
Riddle Sideways: a stuffed animal can not watch the driveway just as good
Riddle Sideways: back to museums
Riddle Sideways: went to an old person's house
Adams Dubrovna: hmm, did not know we were there
Adams Dubrovna: oh yes, houses
Riddle Sideways: was shown pile of old cameras and old computers
Riddle Sideways: did we know anybody who would want them?
Adams Dubrovna: hard to deaccession stuff
Riddle Sideways: and can laugh about them. Until looking around this room
Riddle Sideways: a pile of old printers
Adams Dubrovna: our local municipality recycles old electronics
Adams Dubrovna: we just have to take them to the DPW
Riddle Sideways: about once a year there is a big recycle fair-event-gettogether-thing here
Adams Dubrovna: those big 27" CRTs not easy to carry
Riddle Sideways: takes over community colleges parking lot
Riddle Sideways: so how to get them into the car
Riddle Sideways: young strong people at the place grab it right out
Adams Dubrovna: :)
--BELL--
Adams Dubrovna: I have been trying a new practice but it has not worked yet
Riddle Sideways: /listens
Adams Dubrovna: Trying to remember that night and sleep are gifts as well as days
Riddle Sideways: read that is a blog
Adams Dubrovna: hoping to combat my waking moments in the middle of the night that have plagued me all winter
Adams Dubrovna: still waking up and thinking of the stressful things that I am battling
Adams Dubrovna: unsolvable social issues
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: thankful for the restful night away from those stresses
Riddle Sideways: perceived hours laying awake, haunted by those thoughts
Riddle Sideways: then silly Fitbit reports being awake for 11 minutes
Adams Dubrovna: ohhhhhh
Adams Dubrovna has no fidbit
Adams Dubrovna: do not need a fidbit to know i have been awake for 1 hour and 13 minutes
Riddle Sideways: a few years ago when the last Dream Sessions started, started writting the dream journal every morning
Riddle Sideways: was suppose to record the dreams
Riddle Sideways: often recorded how nice it was to sleep last night
Riddle Sideways: to rest
Riddle Sideways: to breathe
Riddle Sideways: without conscientiously starting a thankful practice
Riddle Sideways: it just happened
Adams Dubrovna: nice
Riddle Sideways: those are really nice, when they happen
Adams Dubrovna: There have been times when I loooked forward to going to bed to see what I would dream
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Dubrovna: fearing one's nightly thought is no place to be
Riddle Sideways: nope
Riddle Sideways: doing a practice-ritual of setting up last thoughts of "Going to dream tonight anyway, might as well recall it tomorrow"
Riddle Sideways: well, a little better than that, but close
Riddle Sideways: this morning there was a recall of waiting and waiting at a bus stop with such a huge crowd
Riddle Sideways: yet, if one got quiet enough, could hear Elton John someplace near singing and playing piano
Riddle Sideways: now the wait was enjoyable
Adams Dubrovna: :)
Adams Dubrovna: We have netflix streaming for a time
Riddle Sideways: ah, some good shows to binge watch for a while
Adams Dubrovna: I have been watching an Israeli series (I guess a situation comedy) called Shtisel
Adams Dubrovna: are you familiar?
Riddle Sideways: no, looking it up
Adams Dubrovna: each episode is 45 minutes long and there are ooodles of episodes so it is not for the feint hearted
Adams Dubrovna: it is deliberetely non-political so does not deal with any of the hard issues facing Israel
Adams Dubrovna: It is about a family of Orthodox Jews, All the males in the family are known as Rabbi Shtisel
Riddle Sideways: looks good, will try some.
Adams Dubrovna: they have appeared in my dreams
Riddle Sideways: ah
Adams Dubrovna: the only thing is they face crises and it takes a while to settle them. Once they get settled they create a new crisis so that part is very frustrating
Riddle Sideways: wait. want to watch a comedy about the Hard Issues
Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Adams Dubrovna: :)
Riddle Sideways: watched a one season of "Messiah" series
Riddle Sideways: what if a Messiah came in 'modern' times
Adams Dubrovna: the series is in Hebrew so need to watch the subtitles
Adams Dubrovna: sometimes Yiddish
Adams Dubrovna: Amazon is going to remake the series set in Brooklyn for American audiences
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: many jokes are not as funny if they don't end in a Yiddish punch line :))
Adams Dubrovna: maybe that is why I am not sure it is a situational comedy :)))
Riddle Sideways: (so old a line, can't remember the comedian that said that)
Adams Dubrovna: It is good to look at other cultures
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: can see the comedy, mistakes, etc. in Others
Adams Dubrovna: we all want the same thing--to be happy
Riddle Sideways: yep. so why is that so hard
Adams Dubrovna: :)
Riddle Sideways: lay down at night happy over the past day and the coming night's rest
Adams Dubrovna: :)
Riddle Sideways: laugh about the children made to get on knees by bed, fold hands and say nightly prayers
Riddle Sideways: but find self, laying down, adjust pillow and thankful for the day
Riddle Sideways: thankful for the night
Adams Dubrovna: those children have a practice
Riddle Sideways: looking forward to the next dreams entertainment
Adams Dubrovna: will help them later understand what a practice is
Riddle Sideways: Johnney, it is just what WE do
Adams Dubrovna thinking that it can go the other way too when they are taught this is the ONLY way to practice
Adams Dubrovna: btw, lots of practising in Shtisel
Riddle Sideways: they will rebel against that
Adams Dubrovna: some will rebel, some will wear MAGA hats
Riddle Sideways: so many paths
Adams Dubrovna: some people practice to learn to love and others practice to tell others how to live
Riddle Sideways: want to say "Funny dat", but it is not
--BELL--
Adams Dubrovna: no it is deadly
Riddle Sideways: Glad you can see things more clearly today
Adams Dubrovna: our time has gotten away from us again
Riddle Sideways: like it does
Riddle Sideways: now bothered by what "Holy Moses I have been deceived" might mean
Riddle Sideways: singing it over and over, but no closer to meaning
Adams Dubrovna wonders what Riddle just said
Riddle Sideways: Elton John song "Border Song"
Riddle Sideways: the editor might put a link in
https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/elto...ordersong.html
Adams Dubrovna: ohhh
Adams Dubrovna: well it was good meeting with you today
Riddle Sideways: yes, peaceful, quiet and thoughtful
Adams Dubrovna: I realized two things I was lying awake thinking about that need some action
Adams Dubrovna: I hope you have a very good day
Riddle Sideways: yes, and that some action is good for you
Adams Dubrovna: have two messages to write
Riddle Sideways: wow
Adams Dubrovna: take good care. One of us will be here on Thursday :)
Riddle Sideways: will wait to see which ㋡
Adams Dubrovna: me too
Adams Dubrovna: :)))
