    I was not going to post this because we never got a topic started but it is a record of the times. Reader, read at your own risk.

    Adams Rubble: one thing very annoying about Firestorm is that they change settigns with eash new update they force upon us
    Riddle Sideways: oh, where it is set to store
    Adams Rubble: control where it goes rather than control where it gord
    Adams Rubble: I hope you and your family are all safe
    Riddle Sideways: yes, there are several settings that have to be re-done each update
    Adams Rubble: and they hide them
    Riddle Sideways: especially if a clean update or re-install is done
    Adams Rubble: must do clean update
    Riddle Sideways: yep, clean instructions tell you to delete the settings
    Adams Rubble: under chat/Notices there is Enable incoming chat popups
    Adams Rubble: on mine IM chats is checked but group chats is not
    Adams Rubble: could that be it?
    Riddle Sideways: group IM chats popping up are annoying here
    Adams Rubble: Let's not worry about this now
    Adams Rubble: not that important
    Adams Rubble: I always stay in world until I get the log anyway
    Adams Rubble: How are you and your family doing?
    Riddle Sideways: All doing fine.
    Riddle Sideways: shelters in place
    Riddle Sideways: *sheltered

    Riddle Sideways: eggs
    Riddle Sideways: modern tech has made it far less isolating
    Riddle Sideways: video phone calls

    Riddle Sideways: have had many group of 4-12 computers video chating
    Adams Rubble: oh my
    Adams Rubble: amazing
    Riddle Sideways: services last week were about 20 people on 13 computers
    Riddle Sideways: study the next morning was 13 ppl about 9 connections
    Riddle Sideways: and those ppl have not learned muting nor taking turns making noise
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: several different combinations of family video get-togethers also
    Adams Rubble: lots of need to learn new skills
    Adams Rubble: we have not done any of that yet

    Riddle Sideways: partner has been doing these things for several years and has gotten so good at teaching others
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: when social distancing started, there was a quick presentation put together for all the teachers
    Riddle Sideways: used some bulletin board type software. built an interactive chart of various tools
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: Philadelphia made the decision not to do distance learning because so many of its students did not have access
    Riddle Sideways: called a virtual meeting (with evites and calendars) to show the teachers
    Riddle Sideways: yes, that is an issue here too
    Riddle Sideways: or they have a smart phone, tablet, laptop but no Internet
    Adams Rubble: that decision has bothered me although I understand its untention
    Riddle Sideways: some drive to the closed schools parking lot
    Adams Rubble: Comcast was going to provide the inetrnet for free
    Adams Rubble: we took too long to catch them up
    Riddle Sideways: Comcast snuck upgrades to service and speed in on most too
    Riddle Sideways: the local US congress member gave a low tech (phone call) townhall meeting last night
    Riddle Sideways: got the local experts on the line
    Riddle Sideways: telling what the counties had and did not have
    Riddle Sideways: what they knew for facts
    Riddle Sideways: and when they knew
    Riddle Sideways: he had the bail out bill text right there and could tell what it did and did not do/say
    Riddle Sideways: there seem to be so many Networks of people working together
    Adams Rubble: that sounds hopeful. The top is rotten
    Adams Rubble: rotten through and through
    Riddle Sideways: one hospital has extras and started shipping some to those without
    Riddle Sideways: yes, sounded very hopeful
    Riddle Sideways: hate to say it, but really like this 'Politician'

    Riddle Sideways: and he is the son of a really Good person, Politician, statesman, Secretary and Educator
    Adams Rubble: who is this?
    Riddle Sideways: Dad is Leon Penetta. Son is Jimmy
    Adams Rubble: I know the father
    Riddle Sideways: Son is ending first term
    Riddle Sideways: kind of wrecks outlook, to know one good Politician
    Riddle Sideways: messes up the "Their All crooks" point of view
    Riddle Sideways: *they're
    Adams Rubble: we have a good Congressmen and I don't think one of our senators is a crook
    Adams Rubble: the president is a dangerous crook
    Riddle Sideways: YES
    Adams Rubble: some people step up in a crisis
    Riddle Sideways: the bail out bill has clauses about having an Oversight group to see that no politician can grab the money
    Adams Rubble snickers
    Adams Rubble: I am told that is temporary and has no teeth
    Riddle Sideways: yea right
    Adams Rubble: I don't know myself
    Riddle Sideways: btw - Riddle's plot has stacks of toilet paper out
    Riddle Sideways: could not find a way to add a Give script
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: instead it looks like some hoarder went and grabbed all the SL supplies :(

    Adams Rubble: It doesn't appear this will be a post-able session
    Riddle Sideways: Today is the 'go out' Thursday. Go to town for eyeglasses, groceries, box, soup kitchen
    Riddle Sideways: really? too personal?
    Adams Rubble: uh oh

    Adams Rubble: we've only talked about virus stuff
    Riddle Sideways: a little on how mindsets change
    Adams Rubble: as Stewart Smallet would say "and that's OK"
    Adams Rubble: I am mostly focused away on my project

    Riddle Sideways: This virus stuff is all everybody talks about
    Adams Rubble: It's amazing how the president and his cronnies have turned an international problem into a statement about America
    Riddle Sideways: it is good you have a project
    Adams Rubble: yes, it helps enormously and it is something I have been meaning to do
    Adams Rubble: and now have some urgency
    Riddle Sideways: OH! the Pres Press snippets watched last night
    Riddle Sideways: urgency?
    Adams Rubble: NJ is number two these days
    Adams Rubble: survival is not guaranteed
    Adams Rubble: it's all random who survives and who doesn't
    Riddle Sideways: umm, hasn't it always been that way?

    Adams Rubble: I am using the urgency to get something done that I have been wanting to do for a long time
    Adams Rubble: it;s keeping be out of trouble too :)

    Riddle Sideways: need to find that project to stop the emotional roller coaster here. (cut finger has stopped music playing)

    Adams Rubble: I am so happy that I do not have to go to meetings :)
