Riddle Sideways: Morning Adams
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: sorry, a bit of issue logging in
Adams Rubble: I just took a quiz to find out who I thought should be the VP choice
Adams Rubble: I was not surprised that my choice was Elizabeth Warren
Riddle Sideways: wow, fun
Adams Rubble: but my second choice is someone who I know nothing about
Adams Rubble: I was trying to find out when you arrived :)
Adams Rubble: It is Tammy Baldwin, Senator from Wisconsin
Adams Rubble: the quiz is in the Washington Post
Adams Rubble: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...ge%2Fstory-ans
Riddle Sideways: also don't know anything about Tammy Baldwin
Riddle Sideways: thanks for link
Adams Rubble: how are you doing and how is your deck?
Riddle Sideways: am sore, achy, back pain, complaining. deck is a hillside of carboard tubes ready for inspector and cement
Adams Rubble: yikes
Adams Rubble: It is the last day of the first half of the year
Riddle Sideways: looks a calendar. thinks about maths
Riddle Sideways: will have to go gab with workers in a bit when they get here, however they have nothing that needs help with. so should be able to come back
Riddle Sideways: also composing an email to friends that want to know how they sound over zoom
Riddle Sideways: hate to just write "Good:,
Riddle Sideways: and they were asking for much more than 'Good'
Adams Rubble: have you seen my blog the past few days?
Adams Rubble: I was reading Thomas a Kempis and realized that when he was talking avout the devil, he was talking about the monkey mind
Riddle Sideways: oh! great connect
Adams Rubble: yes, it helps to connect to so many of our forebears
Riddle Sideways: that little red cartoon monkey on the shoulder
Adams Rubble: or the devil on the shoulder
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, interesting. just drifted off thinking about that
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: makes a great point of view
Riddle Sideways: the voice that tells you lots of crap
Adams Rubble: I have been playing with it the past two days
Riddle Sideways: interrupts peace with nonsence
Riddle Sideways: and thinking of the flip side. Little white angel G-d on the other shoulder patiencely always there
Riddle Sideways: just below the surface
Adams Rubble: it kind of mixes the metaphors
Adams Rubble: the opposite of an untamed mind is a peaceful mind
Adams Rubble: Paradise
Riddle Sideways: Oh? was it supposed to be one or separate metaphors? ㋡
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: so, Being is always there
Riddle Sideways: and presenting
Riddle Sideways: waiting to be seen ㋡
Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: is not seen often
Riddle Sideways: am already in paradise
Riddle Sideways: but, might forget sometimes
Riddle Sideways: to see it
Adams Rubble: Hmm I had another inspiration in another blog about that
Adams Rubble: Ohhhh
Riddle Sideways: whoops, the devil made me read some other blog this morning
Adams Rubble: the other inspiration was about gifts
Riddle Sideways: /listens
Adams Rubble: Something very, very important passed in yesterday’s post with little fanfare. I have been thinking about it since then. I remembered it incorrectly but I think my memory might be a legitimate corollary. When one receives a gift one should treasure the love of the giver more than the gift. The reader can look back at the actual quote from Thomas a Kempis on post #1513. It is wonderful advice in our day-to-day exchanges with our loved acquaintances. On a larger level I think it is an excellent example of “Appreciate the Presence of Appearance as the Presentation of Being”, the appearance being the gift.
Riddle Sideways: well, brb. and read then
Adams Rubble: https://rubblebornthoughts.wordpress...he-giver-1514/
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: back
Riddle Sideways: ahh, had read that segment
Riddle Sideways: and reread it
Riddle Sideways: is very important
Adams Rubble: the gift is the presentation
Riddle Sideways: 'if' this is connected to the previous discussion. then would say presentation is always there
Adams Rubble: if we understand APAPB on a smaller level it is easier to see on a larger
Riddle Sideways: and the appearance is our Seeing. sometimes
Adams Rubble: yes, presentation is always there but we need to appreciate the appearance to see it
Adams Rubble: yes to appearance of our seeing :)
Riddle Sideways: appearance is not so much the 'coming into view', but more the eyes opening to see
Riddle Sideways: or maybe even the mind not being Monkey for a few moments
Adams Rubble: yes
Adams Rubble: Take any gift
Adams Rubble: if we can learn to appreciate the Love of the giver of that gift, we have a window into APAPB
Adams Rubble: to help us see
Riddle Sideways: which can start simple/easy and grow to that Paradise thinking.
Riddle Sideways: personally was given a b-day present
Riddle Sideways: is sitting right here
Riddle Sideways: look at it and see the love it was thought up and given
Riddle Sideways: to others it is a cheap nothing
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: yet, it means a lot of love went into it
Adams Rubble: yes, not the gift but the love of the giver
Riddle Sideways: the mind just zings off to all the Gifts presented
Riddle Sideways: and the Appearance
Riddle Sideways: and hopefully the Appreciation
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: ok, Appreciation is the Hard Work
Riddle Sideways: hard work, easily put off by monkey mind
Adams Rubble: the work is in staying focused all the time
Riddle Sideways: when the appreciation comes it is felt of like Paradise
Riddle Sideways: or feeling blessed
Adams Rubble: :)))
Riddle Sideways: alrighty, got the work defined
Riddle Sideways: now get off the couch and do it
Riddle Sideways: the weak body says it aches
Adams Rubble: the weak body is happy to be free to Love
Adams Rubble: we can start with all the gifts
Riddle Sideways: :))
Riddle Sideways: a good end to start at
Adams Rubble: :)))
Riddle Sideways: sitting amid All these gifts
Adams Rubble: one of our mutual gifts that we received was PaB
Adams Rubble: Love of Pema
Adams Rubble: that is Pema's Love lest I be misunderstood :)
Riddle Sideways: LoP ㋡
Riddle Sideways: dazzled to find there are yet still more angles to explore, enjoy and twist
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: PaB Explorations
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: Life as a Laboratory
Riddle Sideways: read a passage from a book. Sit back and apply it to All previous thoughts
Riddle Sideways: like the brain might be doing during the night sleep
Riddle Sideways: maybe wake to have seen the dream
Riddle Sideways: look over at a gift given with love
Riddle Sideways: expand to see lots of gifts
Riddle Sideways: the Appearance of All those gifts
Riddle Sideways: and finally Appreciate
Riddle Sideways: can't find the Dennis Miller quote was looking for. /Sorry to go off on the Rant, that is just the way I see it, but I could be wrong\
Adams Rubble: not a rant--thinking out loud
Riddle Sideways: what are the typing marks for "this is a mis-quote, but going to type it anyway"
Adams Rubble: !!!
Riddle Sideways: ok
Riddle Sideways: "Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong" - Dennis Miller
Adams Rubble: RL is calling me
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: The call of the wild
Riddle Sideways: stuck on Presents/presense = gift
Adams Rubble: thank you for hosting this last session of the first half of 2020 :)
Riddle Sideways: yes, getting a call too
Riddle Sideways: hmmm,
Riddle Sideways: thank you for Being
Riddle Sideways: Here
Riddle Sideways: Now
Adams Rubble: hope you like my salute to orange :)
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: but did not get to comment
Riddle Sideways: nor weather
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: have a great day
Riddle Sideways: you too
Riddle Sideways: ha
