Adams Rubble: Good mornign Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: good morning Adams ㋡
Adams Rubble: well the weekend hoopla is over
Riddle Sideways: hope you had a good Hoopla
Adams Rubble: it was a quiet weekend for me
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: here too
Riddle Sideways: the nextdoor website had much talk of how bad fireworks are/were
Adams Rubble: I blogged about how the fireworks came to me last night
Riddle Sideways: not read yet. was still back on the cleaning of messes
Adams Rubble: fireworks leave messes too
Riddle Sideways: read it now. Yes, fireflies are natures own fireworks show
Riddle Sideways: we have fog here most of summer. the fireworks shows go on in the fog clouds
Riddle Sideways: in muted pastels
Riddle Sideways: same big bangs
Adams Rubble: hmmmm
Riddle Sideways: but defused colours
Adams Rubble: July 4th was changed so much for me during the Trump years
Adams Rubble: the lies stand out more than the promise
Adams Rubble: I find that sad
Riddle Sideways: most of the cities have stopped spending all that money of fireworks that are not seen
Riddle Sideways: ah yes
Adams Rubble: lots of money, yes
Riddle Sideways: it was always a rah rah patriotic dance up and down
Adams Rubble: yes, from the very first anniversary
Riddle Sideways: but got worse during the right wing
Adams Rubble: of course they were fighting a war then
Adams Rubble: we are always fighting wars
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: WAR! uh. what is good for. absolutely nothing. say it again
Riddle Sideways: so having a holiday that features bombs blasting it air
Riddle Sideways: gave proof through the night
Riddle Sideways: that our dogs are all scared
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: lots of work to be done in this country
Adams Rubble: and in the world on global warming
Adams Rubble: and in the world on Covid
Adams Rubble: so lets go out and set off bombs
Adams Rubble: USA USA
Adams Rubble: bad cyncial Adams
Riddle Sideways: hearing the latest about how bad that we are just leaving Afghanistan
Adams Rubble: that is not a surprise. it is why we stayed
Riddle Sideways: and that we went there at all
Adams Rubble: we didn't pay attention to history
Riddle Sideways: nope. Should have openned the history books to the pages of how Russia fought a war there
Adams Rubble: I stirred things up this morning
Riddle Sideways: yep
Riddle Sideways: well better than what was thinking
Riddle Sideways: so thanks for changing that subject
Riddle Sideways: Did do the annual 4th Peace meditation
Riddle Sideways: and it was so hard to stay on Peace
Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: long ago (and far away) was at a few gatherings of the Rainbow Family of Living Light
Riddle Sideways: and still at least do the Peace meditation
Adams Rubble: it is going to be a tragic year in Afghanistan but it would have been whenever we pulled out. Will end the slow killing and maiming that has been going on. In that sense, it is a step in the right direction but will spawn other problems
Adams Rubble: the news media will be covering the mess and assigning blame
Riddle Sideways: mom has watched over those kids for years, now it is time for them to
Adams Rubble: my mom never bombed me
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: no.
Adams Rubble: thanks Mom
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: how in the course of human events, one class rises to power enough to ethnically cleanse another race off the earth
Adams Rubble: ohhh, now we are really going dark
Riddle Sideways: so sad, but is happening in so many places
Adams Rubble: the darkest parts
Riddle Sideways: yep
Riddle Sideways: sorry, that was not a peaceful pause
Adams Rubble: It would be good not to end session in dark place
Riddle Sideways: re-re-re-reading a line in an email
Riddle Sideways: re: if there were just two things that I needed to cultivate
Riddle Sideways: It would be awareness and love
Adams Rubble: it sounds familiar
Riddle Sideways: doesn't awareness go through dark places too
Riddle Sideways: dark places, looking for silver linings ?
Adams Rubble: there is a larger picture
Adams Rubble: there is our own connections to/with Being/God
Adams Rubble: even if we are caught up in these dark places
Adams Rubble: events
Adams Rubble: also aware there is not much we can do against the dark forces
Adams Rubble: but we can continue to cultivate our love
Adams Rubble: and be aware of our own mental state and what will happen if we get attached to the forces
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: become attached to loving being caught up in them
Adams Rubble: am I making any sense?
Riddle Sideways: yep
Adams Rubble: whew
Riddle Sideways: was off thinking through "stepping back to see the larger picture"
Riddle Sideways: and we don't really step backward
Riddle Sideways: just go to that Being place right behind ourselves
Adams Rubble: lots of ways to picture it
Adams Rubble: give God some room in our hearts
Riddle Sideways: funny how crowded it is in here. with a little characters on each shoulder and the big one right behind ㋡
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: the big one is on both of the shoulder characters
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: ha, and they are all watching this little kid drive down the road
Riddle Sideways: driving the mouse and keyboard through a play world construct
Riddle Sideways: not sure why am reminded of that movie where the old cowboy says "It all comes down to just this One thing"
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: and holds up one pointer finger
Riddle Sideways: and all the cats stare only at the finger
Riddle Sideways: and not where it is pointing
Adams Rubble: Tex always was good at countin to one
Riddle Sideways: yeeeeeep
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: ya know, partner, when it comes down to cowboy life views, it comes down to sitting silently around the campfire (or lotus fountain)
Adams Rubble: yep, without the beans
Adams Rubble: I'm gonna haffa mosey along
Riddle Sideways: Blazing Saddles
Riddle Sideways: yep, time to mosey
Adams Rubble thinking about Gene Autry as a yidam
Adams Rubble: or dale Evans
Adams Rubble: wellll
Adams Rubble: thank you for the session
Riddle Sideways: thank you
Riddle Sideways: and By All
Adams Rubble: bye
Riddle Sideways: Happy Trails to you
Adams Rubble: :)
