Play As Being Working Group Meeting  --- Minutes of the meeting

All six members of the WG were present, switching from SL to Skype because for better sound quality, and this group will plan to meet in a Skype conference call format next week (Eos to initiate the call) and perhaps on Skype ongoingly.

The meeting began at approximately 1425.

1) Vision and details of the WG meetings.

1-4) there was not meeting time which met everyone's schedule so no 2 hour WG meeting will be scheduled in December.

1-3) will apply: that is to try to address all details from an open space with an open mind, viewing all of PaB through working with the details.

It was agreed that if a 2 hour meeting seemed very necessary, this issue could be revisited.

2) Fundraising and Donations Listing

There was discussion about the number and amount of donations received, which will be revisited next week in terms of getting a sense of how many guardians are offering donations.  Just how to think about the relatively few donations so far received is something for us all to think about over the next couple of weeks.

The issue of possible PayPal glitches was raised, such as someone in Macedonia not being able to utilize the PayPal.  This item will be followed up by Saki speaking more with that person.

3) New Guardians

General discussion regarding possible new guardians and the WG agreed should be proposed to the guardian group email list for comment. Eliza to propose them to the guardian group.

4) Overhaul of the PaB wiki.  This item took some discussion, Storm sharing what his discussion with Pema had been as to the needs re the wiki and in the person(s) who might form a techie subgroup to look to these needs:

The wiki needs

--backup assurance

--whether to continue with the same vendor

--overhaul in structure

Qualities needed in the subgroup: technical knowhow, artistic sense, user-friendly design sense, experience with the PaB culture, wish to participate in this task, time to participate, trustworthiness in terms of reliability.  After some discussion it was felt a good idea to possibly form a new email group inviting several people we know of as filling the criteria mentioned, including Mark, Storm, Pema, Wol, Fael, and Calvino.  Maxine will write an introductory paragraph which might be included in a note from Pema to the guardians re this techie subgroup.

The meeting was concluded about 1505.  Eos to initiate next week's meeting on Skype.
