Bleu Oleander: how has sl changed over the last 7 years ... do u still find it interesting?
Matjaz Rives: well some for better some for worse
Matjaz Rives: I enjoyed it a lot when I first came in here
Matjaz Rives: especially the biginners place
Matjaz Rives: in 2007 it was good
Matjaz Rives: you had missions and stuff
Matjaz Rives: I thought you had to complete everything
Matjaz Rives: to get to the real world second life

Bleu Oleander: it feels like its phasing down to me ... not as many interesting projects being done as was a few years ago

Bleu Oleander: I have, but don't find them to be at this level
Bleu Oleander: even fewer ppl and less going on
Bleu Oleander: I think the virtual thing needs to take another leap for it to retain interest

Bleu Oleander: I hear rumors that sl is already planning a new world
Bleu Oleander: will eventually switch over

Bleu Oleander: we do about a dozen a month so keeps us busy

Bleu Oleander: we have had salons on visual art, music, literature, history, politics, science, medical, and many others that don't fit neatly into categories :)
Bleu Oleander: oh and of course philosophy :)
Bleu Oleander: coming up we have earth evolution, pandemics, the economy, ballet, victorian spiritualism, guitar performance, artist, architecture and nature and climate change ... so quite a range
druth Vlodovic: they had a graffitti thing in ottawa yesterday, wishing now I'd gone
Bleu Oleander: graffitti as in a art performance?
druth Vlodovic: this is beginning to sound less like RL and more like SL
druth Vlodovic: they turned a grafitti laden bridge into a legal graffitti place,and had DJs and stuff

Bleu Oleander: I just saw a great show on Kehinde Wiley, do u know his work?

Bleu Oleander: he's amazing
Bleu Oleander: i've seen some of his shows in nyc
druth Vlodovic: huh, seems to be a region-specific video
Bleu Oleander: and we have one of his pieces in AZ
druth Vlodovic: an image search turns uplots of flowers and self-portraits
Bleu Oleander: maybe u need to get it that way
Bleu Oleander: he takes people off the street and uses them as his models

Bleu Oleander: uses famous paintings as the inspiration
Bleu Oleander: the video is quite interesting
druth Vlodovic: they have a lot of videos with him
