Holidays and celebrations
Eden Haiku: Eliza!
Eliza Madrigal: Eden!! <3
Eliza Madrigal: So cute!
Eliza Madrigal: Happy Merry
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: Thank you! So cute yourself in this beautiful blouse :)
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: polka dots are not everyone's thing, but I like these
Eden Haiku: How are you sweet Eliza ?
Eliza Madrigal: All is well :)
Eliza Madrigal: How are you? Festivities for the holiday?
Eden Haiku:We had a great Christmas at my mother-in-law's house
Eliza Madrigal: Is she feeling well?
Eliza Madrigal: Hello Adams :)
Adams Rubble: Hello Eliza and Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, she recovered completely! Good morning Adams :)
Eliza Madrigal: marvelous
Eden Haiku: How was your own celebration Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: excellent, very simple
Eliza Madrigal: but got to spend it in ways that I'd always wanted to
Eden Haiku: Simple is also what I like the best :)
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eden Haiku: And you Adams, are you enjoying the holidays?
Adams Rubble: yes, very quietly :)
Eliza Madrigal: sneaky holidays... hah
Eden Haiku: Quiet is also delightful.
Eliza Madrigal: We had a loss in the family a few weeks ago that has sort of defined things, the kids' grandfather (dad's father)
Eliza Madrigal: so for the most part, aside from one gathering the kids' attended to, people have been especially kind to one another
Eden Haiku: Oh sorry to hear Eliza.
Adams Rubble: sorry to hear that Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: and reflective
Eliza Madrigal: thank you
Eliza Madrigal: he was a wonderful person
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Was he the grandfather you were talking about sometimes? He was visiting?
Eliza Madrigal: hm, no.... he is 87 and my grandfather
Eliza Madrigal: this was the kids' father, only 77 :(
Eliza Madrigal: grandfather (kids' dad's)
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, they had two grandfathers :)
Eden Haiku: 77 is early...
Eliza Madrigal: :) but the type of person he is made everyone so soft for a while, precious to see
Eden Haiku: Precious indeed :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Children and puppies
Eliza Madrigal: were the children around Eden?
Eliza Madrigal: that makes things so much more lively :))
Eden Haiku: Only one in my companion's family. A sweet 2 years old running around with his godmother’s little dogs... My own grandnieces and grandnephews will be home on New Year Day, all the 5 of them, and a 6th one is on his way :) My nephew's wife is pregnant!
Eliza Madrigal: wow! congratulations :))
Eliza Madrigal: doggies make everything better too, haha
Eden Haiku: We are very happy that they all will be coming. Ah yes, how is George the puppy ?
Eden Haiku: Not a puppy anymore I suppose?
Eliza Madrigal: funny, snuggly.. a nice companion
Eliza Madrigal: :)
--BELL--
New Year resolutions
Eden Haiku: There is a scandinavian touch to your outfit Adams. It's lovely :)
Eden Haiku: How are you ladies with your New Year resolutions?
Adams Rubble: thank you. Your outfits are lovely :)
Adams Rubble: I resolve to live until New Year's :)
Eden Haiku: smiles
Eliza Madrigal: :) getting through 2016 quite a challenge
Eden Haiku: Yep. Not an easy year...
Eliza Madrigal: I love resolutions, so started some a while ago, doing well with all but one or two
Eliza Madrigal: so we'll see :)
Eden Haiku: Hopefully, it wasn't our last Christmas...
Eliza Madrigal: And you Eden, have you made your accomplishments list?
Eliza Madrigal: Feeling inspired?
Eliza Madrigal: You inspired me to use the steps **********Applause!!********** but I never reach 10,000, sadly
Eliza Madrigal: **********Applause!!**********[ Eliza meant to use the word App for application, which happens to be the trigger for the applause gesture :) I keep forgetting too ]
Eden Haiku: Bowie, Prince, Leonard Cohen, George Michael...
Eliza Madrigal: oops, ha ha
Eden Haiku: Oh, glad to hear Eliza! You don't have enough time for 10,000 steps?
Eliza Madrigal: It isn't so much the time but the life pattern and weakish legs... but I'm working on it :)
Eden Haiku: It certainly takes a toll on your time...
Eliza Madrigal: George can't walk too far either :)
Eliza Madrigal: and also, not so inspiring of surroundings... would like a change this year
Eden Haiku: Ah, yes,,, and not taking him would be cruel poor George :(
Eden Haiku: I guess I will have to go to the gym for the winter. It was only minus 13 Celsius this morning (that's about 9 degrees F), but the cold was biting.
Adams Rubble: brrrr
Eden Haiku: I walked only for 4,000 steps.. Will have to go back into the cold later...And the weather channel is predicting an ice storm....
Eliza Madrigal: must be beautiful, but, windy?
Eliza Madrigal: oh, eep
Eden Haiku: On Christmas morning, I walked early. It was so beautiful and so quiet. A bright sun, blue waters . Part of the river wasn't iced yet
Eliza Madrigal: mmmm
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: During the pause, I took a look at myself sitting in front on my computer, looking at Adams in pale blue, Eden in red and Eliza in black and white polka dot.
Eden Haiku: Was trying to figure out a way to express my New Year resolution..
Eliza Madrigal: hmm, curious :))
Eden Haiku: I have a feeling for it, a sense of it but the words didn't emerge yet
Eden Haiku: It's something around being more assertive but not quite that...
Adams Rubble: You are perfect the way you are :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: My new novel is at the proofreading stage and will be out next September
Eliza Madrigal: wonderful!
Eliza Madrigal: I read about your publisher's party, and your feelings... was moving, so honest and balanced with many perspectives of strength and vulnerability
Eden Haiku: And I would like to be able to be fully who I am...
Eliza Madrigal listening
Eden Haiku: And you are right Adams, I'm perfect with my fears and vulnerabilities and my estrangement from my sister, but still, I would like to break some chains...
Eden Haiku: I'm halfway through my list of 100 accomplishments of 2016 Eliza. How about your own list?
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure about it this year.
Eliza Madrigal:I feel like I need to write more... dig deeper, articulate better
Eliza Madrigal: feeling sort of a spiritual renaissance
Eliza Madrigal:perhaps due to being thrown so hard by disappointed expectations of the world etc
Eliza Madrigal: sense lots are feeling this way
Eden Haiku: Interesting that you could find a new wisdom in these circumstances...
Eliza Madrigal: I keep asking who I want to be in a time like this
Eliza Madrigal: something like that anyway :)
Eliza Madrigal: like you say, it isn't exactly entirely articulatable
Eden Haiku: That’s a good question, what could one be in a time like this...
Eden Haiku: Simple and quiet is a good start :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) basic
Eliza Madrigal: also I'm doing A Course in Miracles, which is weird but I'm liking it
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: In my family, the host makes a toast to the guests at the start of the event.
Eden Haiku: I'm usually very shy about it.
--BELL--
A toast
Eden Haiku: But this year, I would like to really express my love for them
Eden Haiku: "to dig deeper, articulate better" as you say Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: you really are, so deeply loving, Eden
Eliza Madrigal: So are you already working on your toast?
Adams Rubble: I must go. Thank you for sharing this morning :)
Eliza Madrigal: ntsy Adams
Adams Rubble: bye for now :)
Eden Haiku: Thank You Eliza, that's sweet to say. I woke up with that idea, and started talking about it with my companion. Bye Adams, have a n ice day!
Eliza Madrigal: ah, morning spark!
Eden Haiku: And I don't want to start being too emotional either....
Eden Haiku: Or mushy...
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: groundedly loving
Eden Haiku: Yes! My resolution has to do with being grounded.
Eden Haiku: That is a quality you have in abundance Eliza :)
Eden Haiku: You will be my inspiration :)
Eliza Madrigal: highly subjective view :)
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: Yes, you are right:)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: You are also very ethereal, yet, compared to me you are so well-adjusted and emotionnaly grounded.
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, I don't see that... but would love to rise to that occasion
Eliza Madrigal: thank you :)
Eden Haiku: You are always so kind with everyone here at PaB. You really know how to relate.
Eden Haiku: I would like to inspire my guests, give them hope for the year to come, to feel loved and happy...
A Course in Miracles
Eden and Eliza parting after the session
Eliza Madrigal:being seen is so empowering
Eliza Madrigal: and you are quite a Seer
Eden Haiku: Some 20yo in the extended family of my younger brother committed suicide about a month ago...My brother shared that with me on the phone yesterday...
Eliza Madrigal: Oh :(
Eden Haiku: It even prompted me to ask him how was my sister. She always talked a lot about suicide...
Eden Haiku: My brother was quite surprised I asked about her. I never do....
Eliza Madrigal: estrangement with your sister still weighing quite heavily of course
Eden Haiku: He said she's fine. I shared with him how I had been sad about our estrangement between sisters on Chrismas morning.
Eliza Madrigal: (((Eden)))) so glad you asked
Eden Haiku: I had no idea I was going to say that when I called him.
Eden Haiku: Yes, I felt I was taking an important step towards peace. A baby step :)
Eliza Madrigal: a little crack in the armor, for the light
Eden Haiku: A crack in my armor, yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: she'll have to crack too I guess, or the whole situation, open in some way
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal:Last week I held the kids' memere in my arms and said, "I love you, I love you, I love you." I hadn't spoken to her in many years.... almost a decade
Eden Haiku: Wow!!!
Eliza Madrigal: It wasn't meant to mean, I take everything back, but it was the truth
Eliza Madrigal: It was remarkable really, we forgave one another, but not because we understood each other
Eliza Madrigal: but the situation was so deep, so real, 'in your face'
Eliza Madrigal: :) the love too
Eden Haiku: You bring tears to my eyes Eliza....
Eliza Madrigal: maybe cause you made me cry first :)
Eden Haiku: The whole situation opened for you both :)
Eliza Madrigal: it did
Eliza Madrigal: whatever that means, which none of us knows
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: A miracle like in the Book of Miracles.[ I was mistaken on the title ]
Eden Haiku:"this is the space of miracles"
Eliza Madrigal: Yes!
Eden Haiku: I still have the book somewhere, haven't read it in a while.
Eden Haiku: That would be a good topic for PaB sessions maybe?
Eliza Madrigal: I like A Course in Miracles, hah... always seemed a little creepy before somehow so maybe wasn't the right time... but there are lines like, "miracles are just a shift of perception" and "When you think you've surrendered, surrender more."
Eliza Madrigal: it seems a time exploration too, but not sure it would be of interest to others
Eden Haiku: Yes, right. "A Course in Miracles" is the title.
Eliza Madrigal: I picked it up a few times over the course of 30 years and it seemed so strange
Eliza Madrigal: :) like PaB does to some, haha
Eliza Madrigal: but I'll try to make my way through the workbook for 2017
Eden Haiku: Yes, you almost need a Christian background to find it interesting I guess
Eliza Madrigal: maybe, but that background is also a stumbling block
Eden Haiku: I did it twice. In 1985 and in 1986. And got miracles at the end twice :)
Eliza Madrigal: wow :))
Eden Haiku: One was spectacular so I remember. Forgot the second one though...
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: I was living in New York in 1985, far away from home.
Eden Haiku: Far away from a man I loved but it was unrequited love...
Eden Haiku: Painful
Eliza Madrigal: :(
Eden Haiku: At the end of the Course of Miracles daily exercises, I was back in Montreal.
Eden Haiku: And I received a postcard from him. He was in London and wanted to see me when he came back.
Eden Haiku: I couldn’t believe it.
Eliza Madrigal: soft opening
Eden Haiku: We connected for a while but it wasn't meant to be...
Eden Haiku:But it was a healing.
Eliza Madrigal: maybe a softer landing
Eden Haiku: It ended my suffering
Eliza Madrigal: that's beautiful
Eliza Madrigal: there are things that seem so immovable or nonnegotiable..
Eliza Madrigal: so it is deeply comforting to hear stories like that
Eden Haiku: " this is the space of miracles".
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: It is comforting yes,
Eliza Madrigal: some idea of what a miracle is, is probably a stumbling block some of the time too
Eliza Madrigal: as you say, everything didn't work out with him for 'all time' but much less suffering between you and moving forward
Eden Haiku: Stumbling block is like an obstacle is it?
Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: something one gets tripped up on
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: I wish you much inspiration with your toast Eden, I'm sure it will be just right
Eliza Madrigal: was nice to be able to be here today for the holiday :))) If you are not partied out I will see you next Monday also ^.^
Eden Haiku: Thank you Eliza:) I wish you a great last week of 2016 and daily miracles :)
Eden Haiku: Oh wonderful!
Eliza Madrigal: look forward to checking in, much love to you <3 Namaste and Happy 2017 upcoming :))
Eden Haiku: I will be here for sure :) Thank you so much for being here this morning.
Eliza Madrigal: you too!! stay warm ^^
Eden Haiku: You are such an inspiration. Big hugs.
Eliza Madrigal: ♥ ♥ ♥
Eden Haiku: Love
Eliza Madrigal: haha, lost my hug hub, but you know I mean it
Eliza Madrigal: bfn <3
Eliza Madrigal: hug*
