The reader gets an invite to join these on-going discussion following Tuesday mornings.  Or not

                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: welcome Leaping in Adams
    Adams Rubble: Greetings Riddlesan
right into continuing from last week
Adams Rubble: This morning I had lots of thoughts
Adams Rubble: one was about all the people that I learned something important from in PaB
Riddle Sideways: good... thoughts are good
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: of course, from pema and Stim I learned many things
Adams Rubble: from pema I learned not to put too much importance on any one experience
Adams Rubble: I learned to stop being so impatient
Adams Rubble: from Stim I learned to use bad experiences in life into something to make me become stronger
Adams Rubble: from Sophia I learned that Islam teaches compassion
Adams Rubble: There was a Franciscan named George who came for a brief period. From him I learned that sin is absence of God. The further we move away from God, the more serious our sin. Substitute Being for God and we have an important lesson
Adams Rubble: from Dakini I learned to meditate more than 9 seconds at a time

Adams Rubble: that's off the top of my head :)
Adams Rubble: sorry to monopolize the log
Riddle Sideways: wow! that is a good amount off the top
Adams Rubble: I leaned more than that from people :)

Riddle Sideways: remembering Pema (yelling?)(forcing?) telling at you to work on (something)
Adams Rubble: I also was thinking about my upcoming art gallery project
Riddle Sideways: just remember the occasions
Riddle Sideways: what was the lessons?
Adams Rubble: hehe, yes I can proudly state that I got "hammered" by Pema :)
Adams Rubble: it wasn't necessarily a lesson but a battle of wills :)
Riddle Sideways: funny to remember the hammering, but not the subject
Adams Rubble: Pema and I both came from protestant traditions
Riddle Sideways: is that placing blame?
Adams Rubble: and interestingly enough we found we both loved a certain Pre-Raphaelite painting of Christ with a lantern knocking at a door
Adams Rubble: Knowing my tradition, Pema often talked to me in Christian metaphors
Adams Rubble: Pema was trying to get me to open the door of my heart and let Christ in
Adams Rubble: I kept saying that I did not know how to do that
Adams Rubble: we battled for some time
Riddle Sideways: oh! remembering about a door
Adams Rubble: finally I said I do not know how to open the damn door which made Pema mad (he denies he got mad )
Adams Rubble: he finally said just ask Christ to open the door, he knows how to do it
Adams Rubble: that night while laying in bed, I asked Christ to open the door and suddenely my body was being rocked as if in a cradle--beack and forth
    Adams Rubble: back and forth
Adams Rubble: I liked it and tried to keep it going but as soon as I tried, it sopped
    Adams Rubble: stopped
Adams Rubble: and that was that :)
Adams Rubble: I was somewhat dubiouis about letting pema post the exchange but I gave permission and I seemed to concern other avatars
Riddle Sideways: the proper metaphor and the 'you' can't do it (that way)

Adams Rubble: I don;t think Pema would have done it if he had not met my rl avatar in RL
                   --BELL--
    Riddle Sideways: maybe
Riddle Sideways: but maybe... would have anyway
Adams Rubble: knew that it would not do damage and i would go running around my computer screaming
Adams Rubble: whoops would not go running and screaming
    Adams Rubble: around my computer
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Riddle Sideways: remembering Pema pushing Bleu also
Riddle Sideways: and not sure if they had met in RL
Adams Rubble: my rl avatar never would have crossed pema's rl avatar like that :)
Adams Rubble: only i could do that
    Adams Rubble: don;t tell anyone
    Riddle Sideways: ok
    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: in the last session we ended with listing group members
    Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: and is so nice you started this one with the smae
    Riddle Sideways: same
Adams Rubble: and apologies to all those I left out
Adams Rubble: I was playing with the idea of interviewing my rl avatar for mu art gallery project

Riddle Sideways: there are huge lessons from some and continual lessons from others
Riddle Sideways: and group applied lessons
    Adams Rubble: oh yes, exactly
Riddle Sideways: Stim, brought in Zeroeth(sp?) Time
Riddle Sideways: a major major idea
Riddle Sideways: while lots of people brought in non-Dualism
    Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: non-dualistic life still affects and runs this RL av
Riddle Sideways: Learning the stuck-ness of only seeing 2 sides to anything
Riddle Sideways: the always balancing both sides
Riddle Sideways: the Good and the Bad exist for each other
Riddle Sideways: this whole PaB group taught that
Adams Rubble: nice thought about being stuck on two sides
Riddle Sideways: each saying it in a different way to get their angle over
Riddle Sideways: like being given the proper mantra
Adams Rubble: we do that in our US politics
Riddle Sideways: studying other mantras may not get it over
Adams Rubble: although the different dualistic ideas cross party lines
Riddle Sideways: yet the (supposed) 2 parties are stuck
Riddle Sideways: on the right - wrong   ness
Riddle Sideways: not Right - Left
Riddle Sideways: where in any particular subject, topic, law, etc. there are shifting lines
    Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: where in any number of members of some party there are shifting lines
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: There are PaB members
Riddle Sideways: that have not been met in RL
Riddle Sideways: that have a built up personality
Adams Rubble: It is so interesting how PaB discussions have their own life, shifting and shifting some more
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: and sometimes lack of

Adams Rubble: yes, half of the people I mentioned first thing I never met in rl
Adams Rubble: I never met you in RL Riddle
Riddle Sideways: ha, and yet ...
Riddle Sideways: you know more then most. from FB
    Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: some RL pictures that changed your ideas of Riddle
Adams Rubble: I expect it was greater the other way :)
Riddle Sideways: not sure that RL photos of Adams has anything to do with this friendship
Adams Rubble: my rl avatar was voted as being the most unlike their avatar at the first RL retreat :)
Riddle Sideways: momentary photos of that RL retreat were published
Riddle Sideways: and then taken down
    Adams Rubble nods
Adams Rubble: someone objected to them being there
Riddle Sideways: yet, think that has (almost, who can say) nothing to do with it
    Riddle Sideways: yes, remember that

Adams Rubble: I have been visting all this thinking about my project
    Riddle Sideways: good - great
Riddle Sideways: have learned so much from an email sent just before that first RL retreat
Riddle Sideways: had scattered thoughts on the subject

Adams Rubble: I have been thinking of interviewing avatars on what has happeend in PaB since the least chapters in the Chronicles and i was thinking I would like to start with the avatars who have been in PaB the longest
    Riddle Sideways: oh dear
    Adams Rubble smiles
Riddle Sideways: might be interesting to interview some that are not here currently also
Riddle Sideways: many are reachable in RL emails
Adams Rubble: yes, as a second project but it may be hard to find people willing to do it
Riddle Sideways: or the group email
Riddle Sideways: Boxy, Storm, Sophia, Fefonz, Sunshine,
Adams Rubble: a discussion about why some of us are sticking around I think would be more interesting than learning from those who left
                   --BELL--
Adams Rubble: more important to paB
Riddle Sideways: that was nice pause... all those names bubbling up in the quiet
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: maybe, my friend
Riddle Sideways: some graduated and went to work
    Adams Rubble: hehe
Adams Rubble: You may be close to the truth if I am a example
    Riddle Sideways: giggles
Adams Rubble: I was thinking about that question and think the answer may be that I have not yet "got it"
Riddle Sideways: thinking of inserting "all of" into got ___ it
    Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: so many "it" that have been gotten
    Adams Rubble: exactly
Riddle Sideways: you started with a list of some of them
Adams Rubble: sometimes I feel abandoned by Pema

    Riddle Sideways: How about Phenomenology?
Riddle Sideways: not sure of ever having heard of it
    Adams Rubble: oh my
Riddle Sideways: and then studied it
Riddle Sideways: and heard the Great Debates
Adams Rubble: there is a certain place I walk when I always think about exchanging subject and object with a spoon
Riddle Sideways: Pema and ___ (who was that?)
    Adams Rubble: I forget
Riddle Sideways: will look it up

Adams Rubble: do you remember the beginng of "I remember Mama" a very early TV show?
    Riddle Sideways: don't think so
    Adams Rubble: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxjWI1IrR3E
Adams Rubble: But most of all, I remember Pema
Adams Rubble: Oh my, I just realized that was before your time
Riddle Sideways: ha, some of it
Adams Rubble does not remember anything about that show except the opening
    Riddle Sideways: first year
Riddle Sideways: but... thanks to youTube
Adams Rubble: wow, I did not realize it ran for 8 years

Adams Rubble: did you notice that I sent a photo from 2009 to you this morning in email?
Adams Rubble: It could almost be today :)
Riddle Sideways: Oh! there is mail
    Riddle Sideways: 6am
    Riddle Sideways: thank you
Adams Rubble: my rl avatar used to work during your Tuesday sessions and could visit only rarely
Riddle Sideways: but Riddle's av looks so primitive, dumb

Adams Rubble: I think we hit something with this two week topic Riddle
Adams Rubble: I hope we can continue it
Riddle Sideways: the years of multi-tasking on phone conferences
Riddle Sideways: people saying they could hear water running and birds
    Adams Rubble: hehe

Riddle Sideways: this is Part 2 of topic
Riddle Sideways: was thinking to broadcast that this topic happening
Riddle Sideways: what would it be with many here?
Riddle Sideways: would it get lost
Riddle Sideways: would new things come it
    Riddle Sideways: in
Adams Rubble: I think it would for me
                   --BELL--
Adams Rubble: I always found smaller sessions richer I have trouble coping with lots of different ideas flying by
Adams Rubble: maybe because I am a slower thinker
Riddle Sideways: ideas flying by that get lost and covered over
Riddle Sideways: not slower, but more interested in one that just got dropped
Riddle Sideways: thoughts go flying with the quick idea
Adams Rubble: However, if you want to advertize it, it is OK with me
Riddle Sideways: by the time typing starts the idea and discussion has gone
Riddle Sideways: maybe in a few weeks
Adams Rubble: I know one part of me is plotting the art gallery project and trying to remember things
Adams Rubble: and relating them to what pics I have
Riddle Sideways: however, some might read the logs at how much fun we are having
Adams Rubble: yes, and if that makes them want to come, welcome

Riddle Sideways: ah, don't tell anybody, but am working toward art project also

Adams Rubble: hello out there in wiki-land, a big welcome to you all
    Riddle Sideways: /waves

Adams Rubble: I promise not to tell, Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: :)
    Riddle Sideways: shhhhhhh yerself Beel

Adams Rubble: what do you think of the idea of me interviewing my rl avatar?
    Riddle Sideways: like that idea
Riddle Sideways: was thinking the same
Adams Rubble: I was going to do the narrative but thought this might be better
Adams Rubble: we have already had dialog on my blog
Riddle Sideways: as long as you are comfortable with the interview and publishing it
Riddle Sideways: well, there you go
Adams Rubble: I may not put it on the wiki depending on how it comes out
Adams Rubble: or may edit it for the wiki
Riddle Sideways: is there an Adams interview up on the pages?
    Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: it should be in the gallery project tho
Riddle Sideways: much of it would be 'what you learned'
    Adams Rubble: yes
Adams Rubble: that was my thought

Adams Rubble: our hour went too quickly this morning
Riddle Sideways: oh! look at that
Riddle Sideways: the clock time moved so fast
Adams Rubble: thank you for a wonderful discussion
    Riddle Sideways: Yes! thank you
Adams Rubble: I hope you have a great week :)
Riddle Sideways: and go have you best day
    Adams Rubble: thank you :)
    Adams Rubble: bye for now
    Riddle Sideways: by for now
