    Riddle, Eden and Adams

    An Ai Weiwei documentary

Eden Haiku: Good morning Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: is that the choosen seat today? ㋡
Eden Haiku: It’s fine Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: too dark and early to be morning yet ㋡
Eden Haiku: Here it's so windy and cold...
Riddle Sideways: yes, turned cold 2 days ago
Eden Haiku: It's warming to be cooling my feet in the pool and chatting with a friend in an hawaian shirt :)
    Riddle Sideways: corrective attitudes
Eden Haiku: Kind of yes :)
Eden Haiku: Went to see "Human Flow" yesterday, a documentary about refugees all around the world.
    Eden Haiku: Heartwreching
Riddle Sideways: heard a couple reports on radio about Canada's influces of refugees
    Eden Haiku: *Heartwrenching
Riddle Sideways: speeling is optional today
    Eden Haiku: giggles
Riddle Sideways:hope the editor takes some time to correct ㋡
Eden Haiku: Editor is late in posting but she will, yes :)
    Riddle Sideways: howdee Adams
Eden Haiku: Yes, we have our share of refugees but it is nothing compared to Europe
Eden Haiku: Good morning madam Adams, I love your dress :)
    Adams Rubble: hello all; brb
Riddle Sideways: refugees never wanted to be refugees
Riddle Sideways: was that a "Hello, I must be going" greeting? ㋡
Eden Haiku: Ai Weiwei documentary is very subtle, Infos are written on screen, but not much is said apart of that. Dialogues (translated into English), sounds of life, of wind, of waves. Quotations by poets on screen.
Eden Haiku: Waching this for 2hours20 minutes on a large screen, goes right to the heart.
    Adams Rubble: back, reading
Eden Haiku: Welcome back Adams :)
Adams Rubble: yes, and now it's back, I must be staying
Riddle Sideways: looks up the lyrics
    Riddle Sideways: modernized
Riddle Sideways: so, it is worth seeing
    Riddle Sideways: or too heartwrenching
Adams Rubble: an ai weiwei doc in the theaters?
Eden Haiku: Yes Adams it's called "Human Flow". No, not too heartwrenching Riddle. On the contrary,it places our little problems in a right perspective.
Eden Haiku: And it's not like the news with lots of drama. It is facts and their daily lives, walking for days with children and babies and old people, getting wet, living in camps.

    War in Irak

Adams Rubble: most people just want to live their lives in peace
Riddle Sideways: and many are not allowed to do that
Adams Rubble: always people who want to control
    Riddle Sideways: the Power hungrey
    Eden Haiku: Power hunger yes...
    Adams Rubble: brutes
Eden Haiku: Documentary says it all started in 2003 with the war in Irak
    Adams Rubble: Bush=Pandora
Eden Haiku: I remember protesting the streets of Montreal with hundred thousands of people against W Bush starting a war in Irak, as well as millions of people in the US and all over the world NOT WANTING this war
    Riddle Sideways: remebering that too
    Adams Rubble nods
Eden Haiku: Pandora box of this human flow of people who lost their homes to hungry souls wanting their fuel, yes
Eden Haiku: I remember as we walk in
Adams Rubble:The british creating Iraq after WWII did not help
    Adams Rubble: just sayin
    Adams Rubble:WWI
Riddle Sideways: was in a conversation yesterday, that some would rather we had W back instead of what we got
Adams Rubble: good luck with that conversation :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, you are right Adams, the British created the country cutting through tribal lanes arbitrarily...
Riddle Sideways: map makers are happiest to draw straight lines
Eden Haiku: Right, W looks like an innocent childish nut compared to the other one ;)
Riddle Sideways: drawn in their nice neat offices
Eden Haiku: But the human flow is now our reality and we will have to learn to live with all these people from other countries, other religions and make place for them.
    Adams Rubble nods
    Eden Haiku: Quite a task
Riddle Sideways: yes, quite a task
Eden Haiku: When our people's own needs aren't met...
Adams Rubble: only this time it is OUR fault
Adams Rubble: (excluding our neighbors to the north)
Eden Haiku: Our fault or not, we are responsible aren't we?
Adams Rubble: (and our neighbors to the south)
Riddle Sideways: and somebody stopping the flow into this country
Eden Haiku: Well, stopping the flow won't last long I'm afraid,,,
Riddle Sideways: Huge numbers going to Vancouver
Adams Rubble: historically, countries that expelled peoples have paid a dear price later

    Leaving holes

Eden Haiku: Many native Indians in reservations do not even have clean water...
    Adams Rubble: :(
Eden Haiku: What I like most about the movie is that it shows how resilient the people are
Adams Rubble:It is nice when a sunset is timed with a 90 second pause
Adams Rubble: yes, people are resilient
Riddle Sideways: an article on how we are kicking out smart startup company people, so silicon valley is not moving to Vancouver
    Riddle Sideways: very pretty sunset
Eden Haiku: Yes, beautiful sunset Adams
Eden Haiku: Yes Silicon Valley has many middle-eastern geniuses who will be missing...
Adams Rubble:so many people who are part of the economy are being removed
    Adams Rubble: leaving holes
    Adams Rubble: stupid
Riddle Sideways: so many kids come to US colleges... then can't still
    [stay?] to create companies
    Adams Rubble: and mean
    Riddle Sideways: yes, and mean
Eden Haiku: Some scenes were really funny: a 4 year old little boy running in circles in a tent just to entertain himself, all thrilled by his own movement...
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Maybe a descendant of some whirling dervish :)
Eden Haiku: A little girl with balloons annoying her mother as she was being interviewed
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: A bunch of girls in Gaza, one of them saying jokingly that her dream would be to take a cruise ship and see the world
Eden Haiku: 20 years old and these kids feel trapped in misery
    Adams Rubble: !!!
Riddle Sideways: to be looking out from a bomb shelter at a cruise ship going by
Eden Haiku: Yes, we can imagine how much a prisoner she feels ;(
Riddle Sideways: Son went far into the Darfur troubles and refugees
Riddle Sideways: seems so many years ago now
Eden Haiku: Oh, yes, I remember that Riddle...
Eden Haiku: You must have worried for him a lot...
Eden Haiku: But now he is safe in Denver, his consciousness all tender from his experiences over there...
    Riddle Sideways: one would hope
    Eden Haiku: :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Happy stories from your week ends?
Adams Rubble: someone got taught compassion
Riddle Sideways: happy? trying to remember
Adams Rubble: I was in the woods
Eden Haiku: Xirana's exhibit about Catalonia was interesting but I kept crashing...many people were attending...

    --BELL--

    Let’s hope cool heads prevail

Adams Rubble: oh yes, crowded there
Adams Rubble: people coming out of the wood work
    Adams Rubble: very moving show
Eden Haiku: In the woods, ah, that is refreshing and nurturing isn'it?
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Riddle Sideways: brb
    Adams Rubble: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwXRfs-KjyI
Eden Haiku: I noticed at Xirana's show that at first I was intimidated to go through the phantom police avatars to see the photos on the wall. Even though I knew they were just phantom...
    Adams Rubble: yes
Adams Rubble: I knew I had my assault weapon in my inventory if needed :)
Riddle Sideways: then it became so nice to just walk through them
Eden Haiku: How strange Adams, I was humming mantras to myself as you found the Ave Maria on YouTube. We needed solace :)
Riddle Sideways: walking right through police
Eden Haiku: Yes, it felt good Riddle :)
Eden Haiku: Powerful, feeling real compared to the illusions...
Adams Rubble: Let's hope cool heads prevail in Catalonia and Madrid
Riddle Sideways: heard Ave Maria Saturday
Eden Haiku: Still listening to Ave Maria... Always so beautiful,,,
Adams Rubble has been listening all session
Eden Haiku: We do need prayers and tears in our eyes
    Adams Rubble nods
    Riddle Sideways: nods
Adams Rubble:need to open our hearts as you have been doing
Adams Rubble: remembering those in distress
    Adams Rubble: they are us
Eden Haiku: They are us, yes
Riddle Sideways: (hates that USA gets shortened to US)
Riddle Sideways: and we is us
    Riddle Sideways: gets twisted
    Eden Haiku: yes
Adams Rubble: more important to stand for the national anthem than for people being killed by police
Eden Haiku: How crazy it is
Adams Rubble: hey, we are having an election here tomorrow
    Eden Haiku: Which one?
    Adams Rubble: governor
    Riddle Sideways: oh
Adams Rubble: only two states this year
Eden Haiku: Good! You can cast your vote at least!
Adams Rubble: yes, but I am having a hard time
Riddle Sideways: hopefully the ballot boxes are not taken
Eden Haiku: I understand. Same thing here for a mayor elction next week
Adams Rubble: there is a wonderful Green Party Candidate named Seth Kaper-Dale
Adams Rubble:he makes more sense than anyone running
    Eden Haiku: But?
Adams Rubble: i n USA third party candidates generally have no chance and there is an awful candidate running for the Reps
    Eden Haiku: Ah, I see...
    Eden Haiku: A terrible choice...
Riddle Sideways: vote against one instead of vote for
Riddle Sideways: what it has come down to
Adams Rubble: yes, that is what it comes down to isn't it
    Eden Haiku: Yep!
Adams Rubble: the turnout will be low and low turnouts favor the reps
Adams Rubble: anyway our state will be in the new tomorrow
    Adams Rubble: news
Eden Haiku: Let's hope something good will be opened in this new tomorrow...
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: not heard the news today, yet
    Adams Rubble: congratulations
    Eden Haiku: :)
    Riddle Sideways: yes, thank you
Adams Rubble: no news is good news

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Better listen to "Ave Maria" than to the news :)
    Riddle Sideways: good idea
Adams Rubble: or keep listening to Elina Garanca
Eden Haiku: Listening to her now :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: It's true that music heals :)
Adams Rubble: I got to this, this morning, by reading the NY Times :)
Riddle Sideways: that could be good or bad
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: oh right, the NY Times has no comics in it
Eden Haiku: A Mozart aria now... uplifting!
Adams Rubble: Elina has a role in Der Rosenkavalier
Adams Rubble: Thank you both for your presence this morning :)
