    Eden, Riddle and Adams

Back pain and a lost phone

    Eden Haiku: Good morning Riddle!

    Riddle Sideways: Good Morning, Eden

Riddle Sideways: and it mostly is

    Eden Haiku: Still dark?

Riddle Sideways: getting light, 2/3 to light

    Riddle Sideways: a day starting

Riddle Sideways: nice colors on you today

Eden Haiku: Big plans for the day?

    Riddle Sideways: not great big

    Riddle Sideways: small goals

    Riddle Sideways: how about you?

Riddle Sideways: whirled peas? end poverty

Eden Haiku: Thank you. Felt like pink :) No big plans, no. My 10K steps and a few things. it's sunny at last after a few cold rainy days

Riddle Sideways: am having walking issues

Eden Haiku: OH?? Did you hurt yourself?

Riddle Sideways: RL back got a muscle pulled last week (raking leaves) and it is not healed yet.

Riddle Sideways: sitting in chairs is the worst

Eden Haiku: Ah yes, you have to be careful with a back pain...

Riddle Sideways: so doing standing most of the day

    Eden Haiku: Sorry to hear...

Eden Haiku: Sitting is hard too?

Riddle Sideways: walking (carefully, gingerly) around the meadow. is good, but hurts

Riddle Sideways: then in SL seem to have lost the cool walk. back to the stiff noobs walk

    Eden Haiku: laughs

Eden Haiku: Such good memories of the noobs walk :)

Riddle Sideways: that is the level of issues being faced

Eden Haiku: My companion imitated Eden in RL, bumping into walls :)

    Riddle Sideways: hahaha

Eden Haiku: The deer are becoming darker

Riddle Sideways: there are many youTube vids of people doing RL avi walking

Eden Haiku: Yesterday, it was soooo cold with the wind. Went to the village without a scarf, had to buy one to come back...

Riddle Sideways: the little young deers are now almost the same size as moms, but have that youth bounce in step

    —BELL--

Eden Haiku: Walking around dinner time,I put on gloves...

    Riddle Sideways: wow,

Eden Haiku: Yes. the Bambis are losing their spots too...

Riddle Sideways: summer is gone straight to winter

Riddle Sideways: think you have told before, but do you walk the same routes most of your walks?

Eden Haiku: Today is 58 F, not too bad, with the sun

Eden Haiku: Yep, it jumped over Autumn...

Eden Haiku: Ah the routes, no. I vary. Easier up the hills, many mountain walks to choose from.

Eden Haiku: But it's tricky: last week we did a 6 hours trek and I got only 7000 steps or so.

Eden Haiku: It was very hard: walking between rocks, up to the summit. But not so many steps...

Riddle Sideways: wondering because have been bombarded by 'Get Out and Walk' articles. and some are to go the same route and note the changes and others are to go different ways and see the world. All good for the mental

    Riddle Sideways: slow and careful

Eden Haiku: There are huge rocks here, left by glaciers 10,000 years ago...

Riddle Sideways: bad to twist an ankle 3 hours from home

    Riddle Sideways: messy ice age

Eden Haiku: Yep...you don't want to hurt yourself....

Eden Haiku: At some point, we stopped and sat to catch our breath

Eden Haiku: And a few higher rocks away, I realized I had left my iPhone down there...

Eden Haiku: Maybe 15 minutes later

    Eden Haiku: I went back

Eden Haiku: I was lucky: it was still there!

Riddle Sideways: good that it was realized that soon

Eden Haiku: There were other people walking up the hills that day: someone could have taken it at the entrance gate...

Eden Haiku: or stolen it :(

Eden Haiku: All my life is in that phone!

Riddle Sideways: people don't usually do that. more likely to take it back to a lost-n-found area

Eden Haiku: It's good I take a lot of pictures :) That's how I noticed I didn't have it anymore. Yes, most likely the lost and found area...

Riddle Sideways: Doesn't Apple have a backup of everything on the device? so you can buy a new one and have everything back on it?

    Riddle Sideways: Google does

    —BELL—

    Putting off updates

Eden Haiku: Tell me Riddle, do you install the updates as soon as you are prompted to? Yes, they do, in fact :) Even the photos are on the cloud...

Riddle Sideways: hmmm, most updates are put off a bit until an idle time

Riddle Sideways: depends on the updates, of course

Riddle Sideways: the SL viewer updates don't even let you decide. they are forced on ya

Eden Haiku: smiles at " put off a bit". My putting off can last more than a bit...

Eden Haiku: Ah SL updates are terrible, yes :)

Riddle Sideways: Android updates ask nicely for a time that would be convenient and plugged in

Riddle Sideways: Windows updates often wait until it is being rebooted and shutdown/startup

Riddle Sideways: then in the morning can't use computer until M$ is done

Eden Haiku: I do everything manually...but it gets complicated if I put things off too long...

Riddle Sideways: Ubuntu has a little app waiting in background suggesting you might like to update sometime

    Eden Haiku: Cute :)

Riddle Sideways: the RL projects are were procrastination really gets nothing done

Riddle Sideways: yesterday was handed a pair of glasses that lost a hinge screw. "Fix it"

    Eden Haiku: smiles

Riddle Sideways: started to sit them on the pile of to-do and got one of those stares

Eden Haiku: Ah, those stares :)

    Swamped with things

Riddle Sideways: Welcome, walking in Adams

    Riddle Sideways: no leap today?

Adams Rubble: Hello Eden and Riddle :)

Eden Haiku: Good morning elegant Adams in a hippie blouse :)

Adams Rubble: Hello eden in pink :)

    Eden Haiku: Somewhat Egyptian today?

Eden Haiku: With this ankh as a collar?

Adams Rubble: Sorry to be late. I am swamped with things this week and probably will not stay long but wanted to say hello

Adams Rubble: wow, Eden, you miss nothing :)

    Riddle Sideways: hello

Eden Haiku: loves everything Egyptian :)

Adams Rubble: Eden would be the witness the police would seek out if there was a crime :)

    Adams Rubble: brb

Riddle Sideways: yep, Eden notes everything

Eden Haiku: Not true: sometimes I'm oblivious of so many things :)

    —BELL--

    Adams Rubble: back

Adams Rubble: that's the way my morning is going. pant pant

    Eden Haiku: Welcome back :)

Eden Haiku: Running after your tail Adams?

    Riddle Sideways: busy busy interruptions

Eden Haiku: What is going on?

Adams Rubble: lots of meetings this week

    Eden Haiku: Ah organizing...

Adams Rubble: loved ones moving stuff

Riddle Sideways: Adams needs better procrastination skills

Eden Haiku: Yes Adams, procrastination skills are underrated :)

Adams Rubble: If my procrastination skills were lacking I would not be in a mess this week :)

Eden Haiku: I see, you have a point here :)

Adams Rubble: But I did not come to complain, I came to touch base with a little peacefulness :)

Adams Rubble: take some deep breaths

Eden Haiku: Peace to you sister :)

Riddle Sideways: yes, sweet deep breath

    Eden Haiku: Let us breathe...

    Eden Haiku: In peace

    Riddle Sideways: Whirled Peas

Eden Haiku: Being calm as clams

Eden Haiku: As quiet as a quintette

Eden Haiku: Peaceful as a silent pool

Adams Rubble: peaceful as a jackhammer

    Eden Haiku: onigokko

    Adams Rubble: whoops

    Eden Haiku: onigokko

Riddle Sideways: peas full as the middle east

    Eden Haiku: stop

    Eden Haiku: onigokko

Adams Rubble: please no middle east :(

Riddle Sideways: calm as the kitten wanting on the other side of a door

    Eden Haiku: Loco as onigokko

    Eden Haiku: stop

    Riddle Sideways: whoops

Eden Haiku: laughing at "peas full as the middle east"

Adams Rubble: calm as a cat who has just eaten its treat

Adams Rubble: before it forgot it just had it

Riddle Sideways: "may I have another"

Eden Haiku: Your cats use "may" ? Wow, polite cats!

Adams Rubble: gimme another you old skin flint

    Riddle Sideways: nope they don't

    Eden Haiku: is laughing

Adams Rubble: I haven't eaten in 37 years

Riddle Sideways: ref was Oliver Twist not cat

Eden Haiku: feels like that with this new BodyFast app where you do intermittent fasting

    Eden Haiku: Ah!

Eden Haiku: Oliver Twist, I see...

    Riddle Sideways: ? intermittent Fast

    Riddle Sideways: intermittent slowing

    —BELL—

Intermittent fasting and loud clear long distance voices

Eden Haiku: Intermittent fasting yes: sometimes you eat breakfast and eat only at 8 pm after that. Long hours. But you lose kilos pretty fast :)

Riddle Sideways: the one here is partner stops eating at 8pm and not start until after 10am

Eden Haiku: Shed about 5 pounds in two weeks :)

    Riddle Sideways: great

Eden Haiku: That's the good days :)

    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: was told in clear language that only 1 pound was lost in 2 weeks

Adams Rubble: Bye for now. Nice seeing you both :)

Riddle Sideways: ok, was great to see ya Adams

Adams Rubble: have a great day

Eden Haiku: Nice to see you Adams. Have a great day!

Riddle Sideways: there appears to be a web conference call going on upstairs

Riddle Sideways: that is long distance, so they are shouting

    Eden Haiku: Oh?

Riddle Sideways: that loud clear long distance voices

Eden Haiku: Want to join them Riddle?

    Riddle Sideways: oh no

Eden Haiku: Yes, what a ear you have to describe sounds :)

Riddle Sideways: like those people who think Loud Slow English will get across to a French speaker

Eden Haiku: When I post short videos of a brook with sound on Twitter, I notice many people are sound-oriented :)

Eden Haiku: Yes, that is quite funny :))

Eden Haiku: Speak louder, I will understand you better :)))

Riddle Sideways: and use little hand gestures, little walking fingers, because neither of you know sign language

Eden Haiku: Belgian and Swiss people speak a very slow French and Parisian a very swift one. Here, we speak the best one! Not too slow, not too fast. Perfect for Golden Locks little girl :)

    Riddle Sideways:

Eden Haiku: Often noticed it's not so hard to be understood by hand gestures and sounds anywhere :)

Eden Haiku: Had a tamil chauffeur for a 700 miles drive in India once. No English, no French. We managed somehow...

Riddle Sideways: yes, they will point to the end of the block. then say "turn left" and get a confused look on face trying to remember which of their hands is the left one.

    —BELL—

Eden Haiku: I insisted on visiting some pilgrimage place and he dropped me for 2 hours. I was a bit worried: i couldn't recognized him among other Tamil men all dressed the same way: a shirt and a kind of tablecloth round the waist. Luckily, he did recognized me :)

    Riddle Sideways: ha, tablecloth

Eden Haiku: Yes, the madras one, you know, checkered, in bright colors?

    Riddle Sideways: yes

Eden Haiku: Was looking for a link but all I get is brahmin outfits. The poor people dress differently :)

    Another lost (and found!) phone

Riddle Sideways: at Burning Man, had to always carrying/wear a backpack with life support and day/night needs stuff. not use to that. a friendhad lost her old phone being used as camera, so wanted me to take photo of the 30' wooden lady coming out of the egg.

Riddle Sideways: my phone fell out of backpack somewhere between the Man, other art, camp, the circus across the street or the MASH videos camp

Riddle Sideways: about a couple miles

    Eden Haiku: Oh no!

Eden Haiku: Did you find it?

Riddle Sideways: a couple days later found the great Lost-n-Found office with their great website of items

Riddle Sideways: only 35 lost phones that day

    Eden Haiku: Wonderful!

    Eden Haiku: Only 35, wow!!!!

Riddle Sideways: they had front and back photos of each phone

    Eden Haiku: Yours was there?

Riddle Sideways: however, that first night trying to sleep thinking of what does a new phone cost these days

    Riddle Sideways: all night

    Eden Haiku: all night...

Riddle Sideways: the mental stuff we pick our minds through

    Riddle Sideways: for naught

    Eden Haiku: yep

Riddle Sideways: drifting off now, trying to remember the last time or if ever have typed/spelt "naught"

Riddle Sideways: what a fun word

Eden Haiku: looked it up: it seems it's old fashioned :) Liked the way it sounds :)

Eden Haiku: Must be comforting to live for 12 days in a community where they have a thoughtful websites for lost phones :)))

Riddle Sideways: and a community not using money

Eden Haiku: Did you have to buy a new one finally? I guess not, as you said "for naught"

Riddle Sideways: nope, found it at lost-n-found. Fun in line with all the other Losers

Eden Haiku: No money is great too :) In the Cuba resorts it's like that too. Except for tips.

Eden Haiku: All the other Losers :))))

Eden Haiku: Who recovered their lost one :)))

    Riddle Sideways: yep

    —BELL--

Eden Haiku: That's a good ending fairy tale:)

Riddle Sideways: a community where each camp that I stopped at to look for nephew, would say no Eliot here, but have a Tequila.

Riddle Sideways: 5 of 7 camps asked at. Needed to go take a nap

Eden Haiku: really? How sweet. At the end of the day, you were tipsy I bet :)))

    Eden Haiku: laughs

Eden Haiku: sleeping off your tequila :)))

Eden Haiku: Did you find Eliot later?

Riddle Sideways: good thing to do on a hot day

Riddle Sideways: later, he found me

Eden Haiku: Unless you are a Mexican with a huge sombrero, tequila on a hot day is a no no

Eden Haiku: After a few "No Riddle here, but we have tequila " :)))

    Riddle Sideways: :))))

Riddle Sideways: upstairs shouting is ending. It was one of those 12 hour time difference calls. 8am here 8pm there

Eden Haiku: I better start a short walk this morning as it is so sunny and nice!

    Eden Haiku: oh my!

Riddle Sideways: like PaB use to be for Pema

    Riddle Sideways: and many others

Eden Haiku: Different time zones, different moods isn’t it?

Riddle Sideways: here, morning coffee and nice dressing from shoulders up

Eden Haiku: Yes, I remember when many Europeans were attending Monday mornings sessions :(

Eden Haiku: Still in your jammies? Me too. Even if it's almost noon here.

Eden Haiku: Lazy Monday mornings :)))

Riddle Sideways: a decade since have made a 1am session

Riddle Sideways: ok, need to get recycling and garbage out to street

Riddle Sideways: then main work of the day is done

Eden Haiku: Renting a car in the next few days so I have to organize my time a bit differently :)

    Riddle Sideways: ah, a car

Eden Haiku: Have a great day Riddle! yes, I will be careful with the deer: they are wandering on the roads these days...

Riddle Sideways: need to walk as far as end of block and check what all the pounding noise has built

    Eden Haiku: smiles

Eden Haiku: Thank you for being here Riddle :)

Riddle Sideways: have your best day

    Riddle Sideways: and thank you
