Riddle Sideways: funny seeing you, Alma at that (forget name) meeting
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): yes, I forget how I got on the group that sent me the notice about that, but it looked interesting so I went
Riddle Sideways: A friend sent the invite and it took forever to get how that person was on the friends listings
Riddle Sideways: had to search the PaB wiki for refs.    She was a musician way back at the 2011 anniversary

Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): it seemed a little cumbersome for the back and forth of an open discussion
Riddle Sideways: yes
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I think it is kind of cumbersome
Riddle Sideways: we use to use "/done" as an end, but others would still run right over that

Luci (lucinda.lavender): sorry I am distracted
Luci (lucinda.lavender): got a text from daughter
Riddle Sideways: ah, much more important stuff
Riddle Sideways: have not gotten baby texts for 2 days
Luci (lucinda.lavender): busy time

Riddle Sideways: so, (pretending to be Eliza) anybody got a good dream or something to share
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): I've been dreaming about dogs LOL
Riddle Sideways: any dog? your dog? cartoon dogs?
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): not my dog

Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): in one dream it was a dog that I was supposed to be taking care of.
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): it was sitting underneath my computer desk
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): I had almost forgot it was there
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): but then I remembered and reached down to pet it and give it some attention
Luci (lucinda.lavender): a friend/protector
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): it was such a good dog, just sitting there waiting to be noticed
Luci (lucinda.lavender): a certain color?
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): it looked like a husky breed
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): just seemed very good natured, even a bit timid
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): reminded me of a friend's dog from a long time ago
Luci (lucinda.lavender): is there anything about this time that reminds you of that time?
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): nothing much comes to mind
Riddle Sideways: big furry dog to put your feet on?
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): maybe.
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): it was almost on top of my feet in the dream
Luci (lucinda.lavender): did it seem particularly unusual to have the dog be with you?
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I find that what wakes me up to the dream is interesting to notice
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): no, in the dream it was like I had been recently given the dog to take care of for someone else. so the dog and I didn't really know each other yet
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): I wanted the dog to know that liked it
Luci (lucinda.lavender): nice to have the energy of caring
Luci (lucinda.lavender): a wonderful thing about animals...they want to be close and we feel less alone
Riddle Sideways: funny how dogs want ppl to like them ANd ppl want the dogs to like them
Luci (lucinda.lavender): my cat is sitting next to me now
Luci (lucinda.lavender): just to be petted i guess
Riddle Sideways: yes, as soon as a dog was talked about down came the sleeping cat to want attention
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): I guess the thing is that I had to take my attention off the computer in order to connect with the dog
Tura Brezoianu: but cats and people just give each other grudging toleration :)

Riddle Sideways: and a computer wants ALL of your Attention. now! don't look away ?
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I am just thinking about how the computer world and the animal world intersect because they see us seated and then we seem available
Luci (lucinda.lavender): they= animals

Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): having a computer on your lap is very different from having a cat or dog there
Riddle Sideways: yes!
Riddle Sideways: dogs will get up with us and go with to see if anything interesting or food will happen.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): we provide and they do too a sense of warmth a reciprocal relationship between us
Riddle Sideways: a computer will say "get back here, there is just another sentence to ttupe"

Luci (lucinda.lavender): I have a question for sometime

Luci (lucinda.lavender): but is there anything more about this dog that we have not heard?
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): that is about all. not much happened in the dream, just being present with the dog beneath my computer

Luci (lucinda.lavender): In some shamanic traditions the dog is a helper I think.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): For me I associate a certain goodness with them
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): faithfulness
Luci (lucinda.lavender): they know alot or something....I do not  have one but it is my association

Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): they are pack animals by nature
Luci (lucinda.lavender): ability to smell is terrific
Riddle Sideways: not as often a guide
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): very social
Luci (lucinda.lavender): the other day I watched on a nature show when a mother with babies taught one baby that they had not beein doing the right thing
Luci (lucinda.lavender): put him in his place
Luci (lucinda.lavender): it seemed very clear which rule he had broken
Luci (lucinda.lavender): so dogs have a sense of the rules
Riddle Sideways: dogs have a sense of the Pack social order and rules

Luci (lucinda.lavender): One question I have is I am curious what is interesting about dreams to all of you?
Tura Brezoianu: I find it interesting to see what my mind has come up with
Tura Brezoianu: and why it did that
Luci (lucinda.lavender): /menods
Tura Brezoianu: in the ordinary waking state it's very much limited by dealing with the insistent realiyt all around
Alma di Masala (almadi.masala): I think dreams intrigue me in a way similar to SL. They are an alternate world to be explored.
Riddle Sideways: almost the same answer, Tura, but I ask "how" it did that instead of why
Tura Brezoianu: I think the how and the why are intermingled
Riddle Sideways: probably

Luci (lucinda.lavender): I found an article by Pema very interesting it was in some blog at the Yhouse. And it is going to take me a while to understand it. There were some very interesting ideas there.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): will try to include it here if I can make that work
Riddle Sideways: how did those unrelated people, event places and stories get piled together
Tura Brezoianu: All the stuff that comes up in dreams, is that still going on when I'm awake, but I'm cut off from it?

Luci (lucinda.lavender): I have been studying dreams from a spiritual view for some time. In the tradition I follow lucid dreaming was not advised because our ego could try to take controll rather than being  a receiver for the dream
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I amthinking tho that I really want to understand what he is saying in his blog about where dreaming consciousness resides and what resides inside it

Luci (lucinda.lavender): I have vivid dreams, telepathic dreams, many kinds of dreams. I have been taught the idea that there is the dreamer dreaming..then there is a matrix and on the other side soul. we sleep and our consciousness is exposed to the matrix and the soul.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): when we wake we are coming back sort of with images that we have identified through our personal but also a collective lexicom.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): lexicon
Luci (lucinda.lavender): Anyway...I want to see if I can understand Pemas idea
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I guess I have talked alot but thanks for your help...maybe we can explore Pema's idea. He also has some writings on Dropping our Stories and Play as Being.
