Riddle Sideways: about a month ago, hit upon understanding of something Zen read to us about a year or more ago.

Riddle Sideways: how dreams might be images
Riddle Sideways: and filed it away at the time
Wol Euler: "images"?
Riddle Sideways: then one morning, realized how many dreams really were just an image or a couple of pictures
Luci (lucinda.lavender): hmm
Wol Euler: ah
Wol Euler: not a movie
Wol Euler: interesting
Riddle Sideways: now seem to be in a period of having those kinds of dreams
Luci (lucinda.lavender): Yes it seems like the dream is often created out of images
Riddle Sideways: or at least thinking/analyzing them that way
Luci (lucinda.lavender): but sometimes it unfolds in a very movie like way

Riddle Sideways: late. everybody had cats. we had 3.  Of different sizes.  Had to pick one for something (?). We voted and picked the mostly white with polka dots of purple and orange.  It was the middle sized one of about 30 pounds and big puffy. Had to carry it outside to someplace.  Never got any reasons, facts, stories.  Just those 3 images of cats, one cat and carry outside down the street.
Riddle Sideways: Again with simple Images/pictures and building a mental story around those images and calling it a flowing dream.  Makes one think how much dreams are Not a narrative linear story.
Wol Euler: interesting :)
Riddle Sideways: these images did not include enough data to connect into a continous thread
Wol Euler: purple and orange polkadots sounds like a nice cat colour scheme
Tura Brezoianu: Even with linear dreams, sometimes the mood of the thing is more significant
Riddle Sideways: waking mind sure wants to ask questions about what happened next, what happened before
Wol Euler: searching for the story
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I associate purple with ceremony and orange with compassion
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, just thought it was a cat, sorta of cute in an ugly way
Tura Brezoianu: Is 30 pounds rather large for a cat?
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I think waking mind is more grounded and the initial dream images are less related to judgement and the waking consciousness
Riddle Sideways: yes, but the other was even bigger
Wol Euler: o.O
Riddle Sideways: waking mind would have made them pigs
Wol Euler: ehehehehe

Riddle Sideways: anyway, that is just an example of how for a month or so, dreams have acted more like a photoshopped photograph
Luci (lucinda.lavender): if you could go back into the dream can you imagine where you might be going with the cat?
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I sometimes go back in to the dream and  watch further things unfold
Luci (lucinda.lavender): especially if it was a scary dream
Riddle Sideways: not really.  several other households are on the street carrying one of their cats somplace
Riddle Sideways: not ever sure if it is to the same place

Luci (lucinda.lavender): and intuition
Riddle Sideways: a main point is that catching that this snapshot does not have a past or future
Luci (lucinda.lavender): intuition is not always honored
Riddle Sideways: as if the intuition of what meaning is behind or forward is broken
Wol Euler: when you said "carry outside down the street.", what did you see in the dream? were you moving? or was it a still photo of you in mid-walk
Luci (lucinda.lavender): yes...perhaps a collective dream of  the communion of consciousness
Riddle Sideways: a still of walking
Luci (lucinda.lavender): a statement almost

Riddle Sideways: a collective dream?  of the communion/statement of consciusness???
Luci (lucinda.lavender): yes
Luci (lucinda.lavender): the collective dream is dreaming you
Luci (lucinda.lavender): sending you images that help with healing and knowlege
Riddle Sideways: yep. always thought I was Being dreamt up
Luci (lucinda.lavender): it is not a literal channel but metaphorical perhaps

Luci (lucinda.lavender): thinking of my dream that eneded with the song Both Sides Now

Luci (lucinda.lavender): yes the both sides to me are like waking and sleeping

Luci (lucinda.lavender): sure but it is long. it is my 9/11 dream
Luci (lucinda.lavender): the morning of 9/11 I woke at 4:45 to the dream. in the dream there were several mysterious statements that caiused me to look further in the derream
Luci (lucinda.lavender): In the first part I am talking to an old friend who tells me the museum of Natural history is being turned into apartments.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I decide to investigate
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I walk around the building to the street in front of my work and turn to look south where I see a domed building .
Luci (lucinda.lavender): This building looks like the King Dome that had been taken down 6 months before.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): While looking I see ( sorry this is long) I have a mental subtittle of the words..."Something is not right there" Then the building melts down and I hear"People are crushed inside"
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I turn and walk to the parking lot near me and My disceased mother and Pathologist friend are standing in my parking spoot "11"
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I think...They look feeble I should escort them out of the area".
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I start to do that and as I do a cr comes up with my boss who rolls down the window of her car and I sing both Sides now to her
Luci (lucinda.lavender): car
Luci (lucinda.lavender): end of dream

Luci (lucinda.lavender): This dream was one I knew I would have to remember.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): sorry for bad typing

Riddle Sideways: it's clouds illusions, I recall.  I really don't know Clouds, at all

Luci (lucinda.lavender): and then melting

Luci (lucinda.lavender): I felt very connected.
Riddle Sideways: yes, connected
Luci (lucinda.lavender): that was a telepathic dream because it was already set in motion of reality
Luci (lucinda.lavender): not clairvoyant where it is not really happening yet.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): not prophetic either which happens way before the reality happens
Wol Euler: may I ask, did you lose anyone in 9/11?
Luci (lucinda.lavender): no...but when I was a child my dad went to work and did not come home
Wol Euler sighs.
Luci (lucinda.lavender): had a heart attack in the days when that was not as easy to interven with
Luci (lucinda.lavender): Clarissa Pinckola Estes tape I have says that children who experoience trauma have a possible sensitivity
Luci (lucinda.lavender): to know these things

Luci (lucinda.lavender): Or I also look at this with the sense that love opens up our knowing
Riddle Sideways: like the first part, woke to the dream at 4:45

Luci (lucinda.lavender): That made me think...the people praying while planning and executing the event...were not the only people available to the situation
Luci (lucinda.lavender): to knowing the plan
Luci (lucinda.lavender): I know it sounds wild
Luci (lucinda.lavender): many people dreamed about it actually
