2020.08.27 07:00 - Chicken Little Was Right

The Guardian for this meeting was Adams Rubble. The comments are by Adams Rubble.

I must explain the title for this session. It was said by Riddle at the end of the session after I could not help myself and brought up today's events. To give context for the future viewer: there are devastating fires in California and other western states, a powerful hurricane is pilaging Louisiana, a 17 year old would-be-militiaman murdered two protestors who were marching against a senseless police shooting, the same police let the 17 year old walk away from the shooting, and there is a political convention going on where lie after lie. You who are reading in the future will better know whether the sky actually fell (metaphorically) at this time.

A more accurate description of our discussion would be "Clocks". Our discussion followed one on my blog posts where, inspired by Mesiter Eckhardt, I looked around to try and see God/Being in everything and my focus rested on an antique clock.

Adams Rubble: Good mornign Riddle :)

    Riddle Sideways: Hi Adams ㋡

    --BELL--

Adams Rubble: I had an encounter with a clock yesterday :)

Adams Rubble: and two cute little girls

Adams Rubble: a toddler and baby

Adams Rubble: I hope yopu are not off reading the news

Adams Rubble: best to wait til after the session

Riddle Sideways: realized that the clock story was not read yesterday, reading it now

Riddle Sideways: mind kept drifting off to other clocks from history

Adams Rubble: Like the clock tolling in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

    Cuckoo Clock

Riddle Sideways: and like the families' old German cuckoo clock

Riddle Sideways: the little bird coming out on the quarter hour

    Adams Rubble: :)

    Riddle Sideways: being wound everyday

Riddle Sideways: it stopped working at some point

Riddle Sideways: thinking of that olde song about the clock stopped dead when that old man died

Riddle Sideways: sister took it an Amish repair person

    Adams Rubble listening

Riddle Sideways: it came back working, but the bird's voice had changed

Riddle Sideways: to a bad squack

    Adams Rubble: :)

Adams Rubble: It seems there is some kind of metaphor in that story

Riddle Sideways: yes, wonder what it could mean

Adams Rubble: I remember the sounds of the ticking of the clocks when we went to visit my grandfather. The ticking seemed so loud against the quiet of the house.

Adams Rubble: then every 15 minutes the chimes

Riddle Sideways: Father built a Grandmother clock. tall, but not as tall as a grandfather clock

    --BELL--

Adams Rubble: With my attention to the clock, I kind of lost the original intent of the exploration

Adams Rubble: which was to look for God in all things

Adams Rubble: I did some of that yesterday but it did not make it into the blog

Riddle Sideways: read the appreciation, but did not read the seeing G-d in the clock

    Riddle Sideways: Yet

Riddle Sideways: waiting for the next page

Adams Rubble: did not literally see God in the clock but rather expanded my view of the clock

Riddle Sideways: a lot in there

Adams Rubble: did not get to the metal being star stuff and the atoms and the spaces :)

    Riddle Sideways: so many stories

Riddle Sideways: just drifted off on several

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: chatting with neighbor, who told of their gallery having a beautiful handmade chest. And they want the builder/maker/artist to make 3 more like it

Riddle Sideways: the artist works as a carpenter during the days to make ends meet

Riddle Sideways: and could use the money

    Riddle Sideways: but, said NO

Riddle Sideways: had made that item and is now off to make other art pieces

    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: they talked long and hard. and might make them, same, but different

Adams Rubble: bringing beauty into the world

Riddle Sideways: yet, mass producing houses for many to live in

Adams Rubble: there are the musicians whose fans want them to sing the same songs over and over

    Riddle Sideways: ㋡ yep

Adams Rubble: Donovan still trying to squeak out Atlantis to a group of adoring fans

Riddle Sideways: Mick Jagger stated in an interview that he did not want to be singing 'Can't get no Satisfaction' when he was 40

    Adams Rubble: :)

Adams Rubble: he still seems to enjoy it though

Riddle Sideways: "ya can't always get what ya want"

Adams Rubble: I guess that is the important part

Riddle Sideways: "but if ya try sometimes ya get what ya neeeeeedd"

Adams Rubble: still enjoying what you are doing

Riddle Sideways: made it for Art

Riddle Sideways: and sang it for money

Adams Rubble: need= adoring fans :)

Riddle Sideways: then twisted it back to Art

Riddle Sideways: sharing with the populious

Riddle Sideways: sometimes a song comes on the radio

Riddle Sideways: and ya hear it differently

Riddle Sideways: like the new first time

    Adams Rubble: yes

Adams Rubble: nice that we have youtube to go back and listen :)

Riddle Sideways: the clock. has been telling you that you are late for years

Riddle Sideways: then you Really look at it

Adams Rubble: YSCS [ed nore: You See Clock Sees]

Riddle Sideways: btw - missed a meeting yesterday because the New Fangled email event alarm thingy did not go off

Riddle Sideways: should have used a clock

Adams Rubble: I do not know about the new fangled email alarm thingy

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: nice when we had records and could go back and listen to that song again

Riddle Sideways: nice when we could go down to the Pub and sing that song with friends

Adams Rubble: who IS that masked man?

    Riddle Sideways: the Shadow do

Riddle Sideways: the Presentation is still there

Riddle Sideways: yet, it may look different this time

Adams Rubble: with records you used to have to sit by the record player and work it manually. With youtube you can listen to the music and multitaks :)

    Adams Rubble: multitask

Adams Rubble: and see some of the performers when they were younger than a green apple

Riddle Sideways: still pick up a guitar and play along with those youTube songs

    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: like when played along with the records

Riddle Sideways: never read a serial story from a magazine

Riddle Sideways: waiting the week for the next chapter

Adams Rubble: we had the funny pages in the newspapers

    Riddle Sideways: oh yes.

Riddle Sideways: several had the continuing story

Riddle Sideways: Dick Tracy might catch the crook next week

Riddle Sideways: isn't it great that Dick Tracy had the wrist radio with video

Adams Rubble: yes but who would believe he had a two way radio on his wrist

    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: nobody would believe that

Riddle Sideways: the clock worn on this wrist vibrates when there is a new photo presented on a phone that was left someplace in the house

    Adams Rubble: :)

    --BELL--

I Get us off topic resulting in the title

Adams Rubble: we need a device that gives an electrical shock to everyone everytime Trump lies

    Riddle Sideways: oh dear

    Adams Rubble goes dark

    Adams Rubble: sorry

Adams Rubble: I was just sitting here that all our technology is failing us

Riddle Sideways: imagine a politician lying

Adams Rubble: sittiing here thinking that...

Riddle Sideways: Walter Cronkite read us what somebody said, so that we did not have to hear that person

Riddle Sideways: Same as it ever was

Riddle Sideways: in a new way

Adams Rubble: it always seems like the sky is falliing

Riddle Sideways: when ya really really look at it

Riddle Sideways: Chicken Little was right

    Adams Rubble: hehe

Adams Rubble: that is the title for today :)
