Adams Rubble: It's not ME who is raising your taxes
Riddle Sideways: honest, it is not me

Adams Rubble: lately they have shifted much maintenance of the water system to our water bills
Riddle Sideways: oh yes, here too
Riddle Sideways: we still have the extra amount on our bills because we all saved water during the drought some years ago
Riddle Sideways: and every week or so, somebody on the nextdoor website asks if anybody else's water bill just jumped by a thousand
    Adams Rubble: yikes
Adams Rubble: so many leaky toilets
Riddle Sideways: yes, standard water company response "you have a leak"
Riddle Sideways: so ya hire people to come fix it and they can't find any leak
Riddle Sideways: and your meter is running slow

Riddle Sideways: do you still not want your voice in the recording here?

Riddle Sideways: I did some asking, and we have no documented statement
    Riddle Sideways: just the guidelines
Riddle Sideways: Adams blogged about the silence of snow and the appreciation
Riddle Sideways: the topic is almost about the Solstice too

Riddle Sideways: and the lights people have on their houses, yards, fences
Riddle Sideways: and extra trees and lights in the houses
Riddle Sideways: heard the price of trees this year has jumped way up
Riddle Sideways: but, many of those good organizations are raising money from tree sales
    Adams Rubble: feasting on light

Riddle Sideways: sorry, too peaceful here for much chat
Riddle Sideways: need more soapbox getting up on topics :))
    Riddle Sideways: no, not really
Adams Rubble: I have been so stressed it is hard to get myself poeaceful
Adams Rubble: I look at the newspapers and the anxiety takes of
Riddle Sideways: the most appreciation comes during quiet grateful silence
Riddle Sideways: found a good use for the newspapers yesterday.
Riddle Sideways: turned them upside down so they could not be read
    Riddle Sideways: spread them out
Riddle Sideways: and cleaned the wax off menorahs
    Adams Rubble: :)
       --BELL--
Adams Rubble: the online newspapers are not good for that
    Riddle Sideways: hmmm, no
Riddle Sideways: would be a complete waste to print them out for wax collection

Adams Rubble has been thinking of how all the people in the past went about the dark days
    Adams Rubble: some snowed in
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: families close together; they had find ways to keep each other in good spirits
    Adams Rubble: singing
    Riddle Sideways: throwing snowballs
Adams Rubble: had to suppliy their own youtube and Alexas
Riddle Sideways: throwing pieces of jigsaw puzzles at each other
Riddle Sideways: there was one year the snow was so high and then froze that we could not get grandma the two blocks to our house for three days
    Adams Rubble: funny image
Adams Rubble: not the grandma but the jigsaw
    Riddle Sideways: hahahaha
Adams Rubble: /me thinking of lonely grandma
Riddle Sideways: that grandma was not good at missing a party, gathering or just getting out
Riddle Sideways: that town really did have horse drawn sleighs
Adams Rubble: we road in a horse drawn sleigh on the farm
    Riddle Sideways: horses with bells
Adams Rubble: once it broke far away from the farmhouse with a load of cousins
Adams Rubble: everyone had to walk back across the fields in deep snow
Riddle Sideways: fond to look back on Now
Adams Rubble: was not fond of the walk then
    Riddle Sideways: hindsight
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: makes it all better
       --BELL--
Adams Rubble: I think I was very young
Adams Rubble: not so ready to go for another sleigh ride after that :)
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Adams Rubble: ready to leave dashing through the snow to others

Riddle Sideways: We had a long 10-person bobsled and long country frozen/snowy roads
Riddle Sideways: dad would drive pulling the bobsled and kids up the hill road
Riddle Sideways: then we would sled down
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: once the other father pushed us fast to get going and jumped on
Riddle Sideways: but fell off and grabbed me as was falling
Riddle Sideways: burned into a young memory is watching the bobsled go away while sitting on ass in the road

Riddle Sideways: how many times the sun had reached that lowest point
Adams Rubble: soon each day will be brighter

Adams Rubble: thank you especially for the wintertime stories
Riddle Sideways: soon we will have a brighter future
