    Mickorod Renard: yeh

Mickorod Renard: yes, great idea Riddle
    Lucinda Lavender: Yes! Good idea
Riddle Sideways: if anybody says something they don't want in the log, just write please edit out near that part

    Lucinda Lavender: Dreams anyone?
    Mickorod Renard: erm
Riddle Sideways: afraid this dream journal has too many "none recalled" in it
Almadi Masala: my dream recall has been erratic lately

Lucinda Lavender: I was wondering something today...Would it be safer feeling to share dreams written out in an email that everyone could ponder and then get together an discuss later...
Mickorod Renard: I used to hand them out in a notecard

Mickorod Renard: I stopped saving dreams because they were invading my awaken life
    Riddle Sideways: oh dear, Mic
Lucinda Lavender: how do you mean Mic?
Mickorod Renard: well, the more i recalled them and wrote them down the more intense they became
       --BELL--
Lucinda Lavender: i guess if I could remember how to make the note card and got here early I could share that way
    Lucinda Lavender: intense...I see
Mickorod Renard: and it became a case where some became to intwined in memory

Lucinda Lavender: I have an interesting link for you all...
    Mickorod Renard: ty

    Riddle Sideways: hi Aph
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi
    Mickorod Renard: Hi Aph
Aphrodite Macbain: Great to see you all
    Tura Brezoianu: hi Aph
Mickorod Renard: and to see you too Aph

Tura Brezoianu waits for Lucinda's link
Riddle Sideways: Intertwined dreams with each other was something noted, but not usually into RL
    Aphrodite Macbain: smiles

Mickorod Renard: have u had a good xmas/
    Aphrodite Macbain: quiet
    Aphrodite Macbain: but peaceful. Thanks
Mickorod Renard: like us all I guess
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
    Mickorod Renard: miss the gkids
Aphrodite Macbain: I've just baked a loaf of bread using almond flour. I have lots of time on my hands
Mickorod Renard: wow, i just baked a loaf too
    Aphrodite Macbain: snap!
Lucinda Lavender: be back with you shortly while I get the link
    Mickorod Renard: mine normal flour
    Aphrodite Macbain: hb
Tura Brezoianu: I never heard of making bread out of nuts before!
Aphrodite Macbain: It's a keto diet thingy - no gluten
Riddle Sideways: our bread machine got tired of us and broke
Aphrodite Macbain: I use other grains than wheat
Mickorod Renard: I do mine in a normal tin and oven
Aphrodite Macbain: It's more like cake than bread
Riddle Sideways: well, only used the bread machine to mix, knead and rise

    Lucinda Lavender: https://aeon.co/essays/we-live-in-a-...ith-our-dreams
    Lucinda Lavender: Phew ...there
    Riddle Sideways: thank you
    Mickorod Renard: ty
Almadi Masala: that looks interesting ... "wake-centric world"
Aphrodite Macbain: My Fitbit tells me I have a lot of REM sleep
Lucinda Lavender: yes..it has been a great one for me to read
Aphrodite Macbain: I just dont remember my dreams
Lucinda Lavender: There are even new words in the article that I had never heard before:)
Riddle Sideways: puts it aside for later
Lucinda Lavender: Well this article suggests some ways that that can be delt with

Almadi Masala: I had a little lucid dream about a month ago
    Riddle Sideways: /listens
Lucinda Lavender: listens for the lucid dream
    Tura Brezoianu listens
Aphrodite Macbain: tell us about it Alma
Almadi Masala: I was in bed, half awake and half asleep. everything was dark. I tried to relax back into sleep, and then I could see my hands in front of me, but I know it was a dream image. I could move my hands around and touch things. there was a brick wall with some little plants growing in front of it. I spent about a minute touching the plants and feeling their leaves, then it faded and I woke up.
Almadi Masala: the image of my hands was very vivid
    Mickorod Renard: lovely
    Almadi Masala: that's all
Aphrodite Macbain: was it a pleasant dream Alma?
Riddle Sideways: wasn't that one of Zen's book suggestions; to look at your hands
Aphrodite Macbain: were you worried or happy?
Almadi Masala: yes, I felt appreciation to be able to be aware while I was dreaming, and not to immediately wake up like I usually do
Almadi Masala: it was a pleasantly surprising experience
Lucinda Lavender: that way of remaining within a dream state is so fragile sometimes
Mickorod Renard: some folk use the image of their hands to wake within a dream
Lucinda Lavender: yes I thought I had heard that too

Aphrodite Macbain: How do you remember to look at your hands?
Mickorod Renard: you tell yourself before going to sleep..sort of condition yourself
    Mickorod Renard: takes practice
Aphrodite Macbain: and it always works?
Mickorod Renard: no.. not in my experience
Lucinda Lavender: it feels more like seeing than engaging in waking thought processes
Almadi Masala: no, for most people it takes a lot of practice, if they ever get it to work
Mickorod Renard: my response to Aph, sorry

Aphrodite Macbain: I had an interesting dream this morning - I remember it a bit
    Almadi Masala listens
       --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: listens for the bit
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
Aphrodite Macbain: I was sitting in the countryside surrounded by trees and plants and talking with a friend
Aphrodite Macbain: I remember saying how nice it was to be there despite the fact that the city was so close
Riddle Sideways: please disregard the beel
    Riddle Sideways: go on
    Aphrodite Macbain: that's all
Aphrodite Macbain: A commentary on the niceness of being away from the city and in nature
    Lucinda Lavender: it sounds rejuvenating
Tura Brezoianu: And being with a friend
Aphrodite Macbain: I think it may be time to get out of the city
Aphrodite Macbain: or find a park to walk in
Aphrodite Macbain: I get tired of concrete
    Aphrodite Macbain: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: done
Riddle Sideways: we are all getting a bit of cabin fever lately, again
Lucinda Lavender: we can go to these places in the dream when needed too
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods
Mickorod Renard: he he , maybe spurred on by the confinement of lockdowns/
Riddle Sideways: personally, there is too much counting of wild turkeys in the meadow
    Lucinda Lavender: :)

Almadi Masala: I think it is interesting that even after a year of covid19, the people in my dreams are still not wearing masks
    Riddle Sideways: right
Aphrodite Macbain: That may take a while to penetrate
Lucinda Lavender: Dreaming of Covid last month or so I experienced walking through a hospital aware that I had no mask on
    Aphrodite Macbain: wow
Aphrodite Macbain: Did you feel vulnerable or guilty?
Lucinda Lavender: it was disconcerting and I was concerned for the many people in the halls waiting for a room
    Lucinda Lavender: mainly concern
    Aphrodite Macbain: I understand.
Lucinda Lavender: more concern for others but as to my not wearing a mask I think I was shocked that I was doing it
Aphrodite Macbain: It must be awful in Englad Mick- with the lockdown back again
Almadi Masala: it occurred to me that for me being among unmasked people could be used as a dream sign
Mickorod Renard: its not so bad
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
    Lucinda Lavender: to alma
Mickorod Renard: I was being very careful anyway
Aphrodite Macbain: a sign for what Alma?
Almadi Masala: a sign that I am dreaming
    Aphrodite Macbain: ah
Lucinda Lavender: yes... that was a bit like the feeling too
    Mickorod Renard: I see yes
Lucinda Lavender: I had approached the hospital in a canoe with 2 other dreamers from my dream circle too

Aphrodite Macbain: I am frequently among masked people in RL
    Aphrodite Macbain: unmasked
    Mickorod Renard: wow
    Aphrodite Macbain: OUtside, for instance
Almadi Masala: where I live almost everyone wears masks, unless they are outdoors
Aphrodite Macbain: many wear them below their noses
Riddle Sideways: most of the walkers going around the meadow and walking dogs are wearing masks
Aphrodite Macbain: I want to do something violent when that happens
Almadi Masala: and many use them outdoors too
Mickorod Renard: I know in some places, like Malta, you can be in serious trouble if you do not wear a mask outdoors
Aphrodite Macbain: I live on Vancouver Island and we are fortunate that the curve is levelling off now

Mickorod Renard: btw, I do have lots of old dreams on notecards in my inventory
Mickorod Renard: but you may have seen them before
Aphrodite Macbain: They are worth hearing again Mick
Mickorod Renard: phew, thats good news Aph
    Mickorod Renard: re covid
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods
Riddle Sideways: some of us old people can't remember hearing them before ㋡
Mickorod Renard: I have one i just re read, cos many are bizare or too sexy
    Aphrodite Macbain: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: listens
Aphrodite Macbain: nothing wrong with bizare or sexy
Mickorod Renard: I can hand it on note card to read
       --BELL--
    Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks

Mickorod hands each of us the notecard, but the editor has lost the copy and can't insert it here :( sorry

Mickorod Renard: this dream as with the others goes back years
Mickorod Renard: but I do remember them
Tura Brezoianu: A powerful dream Mick
Lucinda Lavender: Where do I find the notecard?
Mickorod Renard: yeh, I think it was a getting older dream..where one sees diferent values
    Almadi Masala: very poignant
    Mickorod Renard: sorry Luci
    Lucinda Lavender: ah found it
Mickorod Renard: I gave it to you
    Mickorod Renard: ah
Mickorod Renard: give you a couple on mins
    Aphrodite Macbain: Wonderful Mick
    Aphrodite Macbain: Very thoughtful
Aphrodite Macbain: Thanks for sharing it
Mickorod Renard: I have some extreme wierd ones too
Mickorod Renard: but maybe another day
Riddle Sideways: shucks, like wierd ones
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: I always think that weird is good- it gives us a different perspective on things
Mickorod Renard: yeh, but some of mine are too wierd
    Aphrodite Macbain: too?
    Mickorod Renard: he he
Aphrodite Macbain: too weired for what?
Mickorod Renard: I think to reveal
Aphrodite Macbain: so they make you sound weird too?

Mickorod Renard: but it is funny, re the last dream..how we spoil love
Mickorod Renard: I do think that one can be judged by your dreams
Aphrodite Macbain: maybe we spoil what we think we wont have.
Lucinda Lavender: but you could imagine love without fear...so the dream feels like awareness of that
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
Mickorod Renard: yes, I think I changed at that point Luci
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Aphrodite Macbain: what was it that changed you? What act or thought?
Mickorod Renard: I think the realization..but also the feeling the dream imbued
Lucinda Lavender: Maybe at the time you dreamt it...there was a hint in Waking consciousness that you were gaining the awareness
    Aphrodite Macbain: in particular
Mickorod Renard: I would guess so Luci..even a tiredness..of being too gaurded
Lucinda Lavender: and your true self came to the fore to reveal it to you:))
Mickorod Renard: a bit like if one is too scared to go outside..one misses life
Lucinda Lavender: It is life changing I think when that happens
    Mickorod Renard: yeh
Aphrodite Macbain: Fear of missing out. FOM

Almadi Masala: apologies, I have to get back to RL :(
Lucinda Lavender: bye for now Alma!
Mickorod Renard: bye Alma, thanks for your dream

Tura Brezoianu: Ignoring it as usual :)
Mickorod Renard: I dont think I am
    Aphrodite Macbain: :)

Aphrodite Macbain: I have been given the book "writing down the Bones" and a nice notebook. So I've started writing my memoirs

Aphrodite Macbain: I've started with Christmas memories from the age of 5
    Riddle Sideways: crashed
Mickorod Renard: I was talking to an old school friend today..his bday,,and during our recollections I dont thik I could write my memoirs..for fear of being arrested
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol
