Time Session, February 25, 2011

Art of Being Self. The Art of Being project encouraged everyone to get alts and then record their experiences.

A weekend in-world retreat was held on February 12-13. Bruce planned the retreat and, with Eliza, coordinated the signing up of the avatars and meeting times. Attending were Arch, Bruce, Calvino, Darren, Ewan, Maxine, Riddle, Sophia Sharon, Sunshne, and Zen. There was no theme session for this retreat.

The Time Sessions continued in February on Friday mornings at the pavilion.

The poetry theme session met on Sundays, February 6, February 13, and February 20.

During the month, Hana was working on a guardian handbook to define many of the tasks needed to be done to keep Play as Being running smoothly.

Bruce Mowbray: I think my "problem" is that I don't yet understand how "decisions" are made in PaB. . .
Bruce Mowbray: Or, perhaps, they are made in a variety of ways -- some of which I'm not aware of.
Storm Nordwind: With as much devolvement as possible I think :)
Storm Nordwind: PaB is coming up to 3 years old
Bruce Mowbray is a big fan of devolution ;-)
Storm Nordwind: There was a time when there were very few people and Pema made many suggestions and we took them up
Storm Nordwind: Now there is a working group and a Kira sub-committee and home-grown groups for different projects
Storm Nordwind: And the retreats are part of that mix

Storm Nordwind: It's not Pema's project anymore. Instead, it's owned by us! :)

New Guardians in February were: oO0Oo Resident (Samuo), Kit Ciaco and  Sunshine Vayander. Bertrum Resident returned after a period of absence. The list of Current Guardians and the Date they became guardians may be found here.

Fael Ilyer left Play as Being in February. Fael had been in Play as Being since late May 2008. Among other contributions, Fael was one of those who developed the autologger and also helped transfer the contents of the wiki to the new site.
