2018.01.09 07:00 - MLK's same ol suit of good

The Guardian for this meeting was Riddle Sideways. The comments are by Riddle Sideways.

Imagine if you will, being 18 years old in a very hard year named 1968.  The year starts with the murder of Rev. Martin Luther King by hate!
How would a person grow from there?

                    --BELL--
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: Helloooooo Adams
Riddle Sideways: thought you might not get here today
    Adams Rubble: me too
Riddle Sideways: which would have been ok
Riddle Sideways: is where and what you were doing worth some chat into the logs?
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: if interested readers would enjoy
Riddle Sideways: hearing of your life
Riddle Sideways: or one of them

Adams Rubble: Just working on getting ready for Martin Luther King Day. Did a slide show on his life to run before the program starts
Adams Rubble: MLK was an amazing person
    Adams Rubble: much deep wisdowm
    Riddle Sideways: yes!
Adams Rubble: someone who really knew himself
Riddle Sideways: and needs to be taught, and remembered and reminded
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Riddle Sideways: reenforcing good models
Riddle Sideways: and how would the youth of today grow up to be good people
Riddle Sideways: if there were not so many
    Riddle Sideways: good role models
    Riddle Sideways: around
Adams Rubble: and how the old people of today grow up to be good people
    Riddle Sideways: stilll growing

Adams Rubble: There are some wise people running around today like Thich, Tenzin Gyatso and Pope Frances
Adams Rubble: any of us could be one of those wise people if we start at the end and just become them :)
Adams Rubble: I think that is what I learned doing this project
Adams Rubble: we can learn from MLK
Riddle Sideways: Hey, that is a good formula, let's do it.

Riddle Sideways: there are dozens of youTubes of (supposedly) little people that are almost wise doing an everyday kindness
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: that ripples through a neighborhood
Riddle Sideways: the kid on the way down the street helps pick up dropped groceries
Riddle Sideways: makes the lady smile and then she and he helps the next person
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: good and bad ... pass on
    Riddle Sideways: an attitude
    Adams Rubble: yessss
    Riddle Sideways: passed
Adams Rubble: every moment an opportunity to pass on positive energy
Riddle Sideways: always leave the checkout person smiling
Riddle Sideways: for the next person

Riddle Sideways: Here comes the yearly story retold
Riddle Sideways: long ago, worked on a research farm

                    --BELL--
    Adams Rubble listens
Riddle Sideways: that had 3 long rows of roses. hundred yards(meters) long
Riddle Sideways: often would drive away with 3-10 dozen roses in the truck. go to a gas station.
Riddle Sideways: leave them for the attendant. (these were the dayz when somebody was paid to pump your gas for you)
Adams Rubble: hehe- they still are in NJ
Riddle Sideways: to give one to each customer after
    Adams Rubble: nice
Riddle Sideways: oh yes! forgot N.J.
    Riddle Sideways: end story
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: nice gesture
Riddle Sideways: not told for a pat on the head
Adams Rubble wasn't doing any patting on the head

Riddle Sideways: it is seeing the grumpy look on the store checkers face after the last grumpy customer
    Riddle Sideways: and changing that
Riddle Sideways: the reminding of everybody of MLK
Riddle Sideways: that one thing he did once to make one child better
Riddle Sideways: a talk of Dreams
    Riddle Sideways: with capitol D
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
    Adams Rubble: :)

Adams Rubble: They beat him, they roughed him up, the hit him in the head with a rock, and called him vile names and he returned love
    Riddle Sideways: yes!!!!
    Riddle Sideways: a Gandhi
Riddle Sideways: so, should keep both the hugest idol of wisdom, love, peace, goodness etc.
Riddle Sideways: And the local little person of good heart
    Riddle Sideways: in mind
    Riddle Sideways: and deeds
    Adams Rubble: and love
    Riddle Sideways: and ideals
    Riddle Sideways: and joy

                    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: speaking of change ... you seem to have changed during that pause
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I did not have time to change before the session
Riddle Sideways: and did not have to stand backward in an awkward way
Riddle Sideways: giggles... yes had seen you in that yesterday
    Riddle Sideways: shocking
    Adams Rubble: busy
Adams Rubble: One did not see Mother Teresa wearing a different outfit every day

Riddle Sideways: noted that there are NO quiet people of the field here now
    Riddle Sideways: good point

Riddle Sideways: Gandhi was mostly the same everyday
Riddle Sideways: MLK was almost always the suit
Riddle Sideways: maybe ... wearing the same ol suit of good attitude, wisdom and joy would be good
    Riddle Sideways: and/or smelly
Adams Rubble: MLK had some clothes for times when he knew he was going to be arrested

Riddle Sideways: Beware the person that smells too good
    Adams Rubble: ohhh
Riddle Sideways: it may just be purfume
    Riddle Sideways: a false sence
    Adams Rubble: interesting typo
Riddle Sideways: Need a "puns intended" sign
Adams Rubble: scents creating a false sense
