Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: oh! howdee
    Riddle Sideways: just a sec
    Riddle Sideways: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeVnbAfcwv8
Riddle Sideways: need to see/hear the end
Riddle Sideways: can't spot who is playing the synth, rev.guitar or strange sound
Riddle Sideways: Oh! remembering that Dick Clark Show did not have guests actually playing the instruments and song
Adams Rubble: maybe the prunes got to him
Riddle Sideways: did you know people played Rock-n-Roll Auto-harp?
Riddle Sideways: folk people did, but few rockers
Riddle Sideways: well, anyway. Started playing that song in head during the night
Riddle Sideways: not sure if it was connected to dreaming or not
Riddle Sideways: but worried and thought about it much
Riddle Sideways: ah-oh! lost Adams to youTube

Adams Rubble: The clip was followed by a toilet commercial on my youtube
Riddle Sideways: ooooo love those adverts

Riddle Sideways: saved some RSS links yesterday, thunking you would like (or hate goodly)

Adams Rubble: I have started reading a book that may interest you
Adams Rubble: It is called "Tibetan Zen"
Adams Rubble: The discoveries in the so-called library cave at Dunhunag included many Zen writings, many of them written in Tibetan
Riddle Sideways: while going to search for Tibetan Zen
Adams Rubble: The author used them as a starting point to make many observations about the origins of Zen as well as the famous debate story between Chinese and Indian Buddhism in Tibet
    Riddle Sideways: hmmmm, sounds interesting
Adams Rubble: the common stories about the origins of Zen do not hold up
Riddle Sideways: Went to dinner Friday with a Nepal Buddhist oriented family
Riddle Sideways: and of course drifted off on the many religions of the area
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: so, the Common stories don't hold up
Riddle Sideways: which stories do hold?
Adams Rubble: the author was reading between the lines
Riddle Sideways: does that make it Historical Fiction?
Adams Rubble: more pointing out inconsistencies than formulating a theory
    Riddle Sideways: ah!
    Riddle Sideways: like the in-laws
Adams Rubble: things always seem to be more complex than common understanding of them
Riddle Sideways: for the simple amoungst you, you shall explain it in simple terms
Riddle Sideways: next year you can add a few more complicational items to the story
Adams Rubble: of course Buddhism can be very simple :)
    Riddle Sideways: can be
Riddle Sideways: depending on the explainers point of view
    Adams Rubble: yes

The parent figure explains to the simpleton
Adams Rubble: desiring is bad; love is good :)
Adams Rubble: and desire is empty
    Riddle Sideways: ah! got it
Riddle Sideways: wait... Bad and Empty
    Riddle Sideways: both
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: but then bad is empty (giggles)
    Riddle Sideways: good - done
Riddle Sideways: now rinse and repeat
Riddle Sideways: ummmm who/what/how defines these Good and Bad?
Adams Rubble: they are all empty so no worries
Riddle Sideways: they are all Bad?
    Riddle Sideways: and empty
    Riddle Sideways: except Love
Adams Rubble: love is a recognition that we are all connected ?
Adams Rubble: so thinking about love strengthens the connection

Riddle Sideways: so thinking about the love of the apple on the corner of this desk
    Riddle Sideways: strengthens the connection
    Riddle Sideways: and eating it?
Adams Rubble: it can be if you think about the origins of the apple and how both you are it are connected, i.e. star stuff, molecules, life cycle
Adams Rubble: and when you eat it the apple gives up itself to give you strength
Adams Rubble: and turns into you
Adams Rubble: The Apple Sutra :)
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡

Riddle Sideways: and Taoism is even easier
Riddle Sideways: the apple is not the Real Apple
Adams Rubble has some trouble with Daoism
Riddle Sideways: but, back to Zen
Riddle Sideways: is it not easy?
    Riddle Sideways: or as easy?
Riddle Sideways: except for the lost tradition parts!
Adams Rubble: I have only started the book
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: And you are a faithful reader who would not skip to the last chapter to find out who done it
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: the pleasure of spending so much time with a book from start to end
Adams Rubble: I have had so much trouble finishing books these days
Riddle Sideways: ummm, how many are on the night stand half read?
Riddle Sideways: of course night stand means also the downstairs pile, the office pile, the table pile
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: in the age of the paperless
Adams Rubble: yes, distracted by electronic press
Riddle Sideways: there are far less Books on the in progress pile
Adams Rubble: come back full circle to Electric Prunes
Riddle Sideways: Kindle app has about 5 books now
Riddle Sideways: Prunes keep you regular
Riddle Sideways: well, the newspaper comes every day (and Sunday Times) and that piles up
Riddle Sideways: there was a very interesting section being read by partner last night
Adams Rubble: yes, spend time each morning on the news
Adams Rubble: then an hour of therapy to deal with the news
Riddle Sideways: every couple minutes it got quoted/read out loud
    Riddle Sideways: lol ㋡

Riddle Sideways: then somebody gives you a link: https://boingboing.net/2018/01/19/ba...the-9th-m.html
Riddle Sideways: and the therapy goes away
Riddle Sideways: little MyCroft in office reads NPR news
Riddle Sideways: new little Alexa in kitchen reads Reuters news briefs
    Adams Rubble: oh my
Riddle Sideways: am building a google home on Pi and wonder which news it will read
Adams Rubble: my Alexa reads the Bible to me
    Riddle Sideways: great
Adams Rubble: Have 50 hours to go
    Riddle Sideways: almost done
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: good ol' Hezekiah
Riddle Sideways: not sure Alexa Audable will work for the addicted one in this house
Riddle Sideways: the during the night iPod does not sync to a cloud (funny phrase)
Riddle Sideways: so, it would not know the last read place
Riddle Sideways: have been told to work on that
Adams Rubble: I guess mine is a miracle
Riddle Sideways: yes, reading the bible allows for miracles
Riddle Sideways: adds the miracle skill
                   --BELL--
Adams Rubble: i WAS REFERRING TO IT JUST WORKING :)
    Riddle Sideways: oh
Riddle Sideways: misunderstanding comes so easily

Riddle Sideways: am preparing to teach an Alexa class today
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: only one student

Adams Rubble: some people are concerned about Alexa eavesdropping on their conversations
Riddle Sideways: who has heard/read a rumor that "MEN" have programed it to not hear women correctly
    Adams Rubble giggles
Riddle Sideways: the best advice is just sit back and say Yes Dear
Adams Rubble: Bringing magic into the home always raises questions
Riddle Sideways: for years have aSSuMe d that NSA Bob has been listening
Riddle Sideways: so what is the difference
Riddle Sideways: will just keep on with the non-sequiturs
Adams Rubble: I try not to do any plotting around Alexa
Riddle Sideways: beware! sarcastism is not defensible in court
    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: and reading the text of any paragraph by the donald will twist your mind
Adams Rubble: some days it is easier to ignore him
Riddle Sideways: which happened over the weekend
    Riddle Sideways: somebody disconnected him
Adams Rubble: yes, he did not make it to Mar a Lago
Adams Rubble: Eric and Donald Jr went to his party in his place
    Adams Rubble: awwww
    Riddle Sideways: not negotiations
    Riddle Sideways: *nor
Adams Rubble: his microphone shut down
Riddle Sideways: really wonder who the handler was
Adams Rubble: and don't ever accept a free Alexa from the Russian goverment as a gift
Riddle Sideways: oh! maybe this one should be returned ㋡
Adams Rubble just threw that in
Riddle Sideways: as a test of the NSA system
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: in one minute look out the front window for a van
Adams Rubble: Aleksa, ispolnyayet natsional'nyy gimn
    Riddle Sideways: giggles
                   --BELL--

Adams Rubble: I think I am out of steam
Adams Rubble: maybe good place to stop for today
Adams Rubble: I hope your class goes well today
Riddle Sideways: yes, still have to much dreams last night to journal
    Adams Rubble: ohhh, nice
