Riddle Sideways: in a quick redirect of weekend plans
Riddle Sideways: got into a car and rode for 4 hours
Riddle Sideways: with 3 other people of different faiths

Adams Rubble: was the house badly damaged?
Adams Rubble: you were doing bodhisattva work :)
Riddle Sideways: about 150-200 people volunteers around. our group oh 20 were at 2 of the many houses
    Adams Rubble: wow
Riddle Sideways: much of the office-studio of the uphill house (and tress) were in this houses bedroom
    Adams Rubble: ouch
Riddle Sideways: about 4 feet of mud
    Adams Rubble: ohhh
Riddle Sideways: kind of carefullly removing to find valuables
Riddle Sideways: really looking for a small travel bag with wedding rings
Adams Rubble: did you find it?
Riddle Sideways: their was a film crew making a documentary that were underfoot all the time

    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: stopped at a certain o'clock for prayers
    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: with a piano-pipe organ concert going on
Riddle Sideways: so, went and walked the labyrinth
    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: and the little things are every day
Adams Rubble: everyone needs to be united in November
    Riddle Sideways: yes
    Riddle Sideways: but, ...
Adams Rubble: yes too many buts
    Riddle Sideways: so many butts

For Whom the bell hooks; she toils for us

Adams Rubble: I mentioned the book I am reading in an email post
    Riddle Sideways: ah yes...
Adams Rubble: bell hooks, The Will to change
Riddle Sideways: gets back to that email
Adams Rubble: bell looks at men compassionately
Adams Rubble: at how they too are burdened by the patriarchy
Adams Rubble: her love has been inspirational
    Riddle Sideways: how closed down
Adams Rubble: was partly inspired by Thich Hanh and Martin Luther King as well as many others
Adams Rubble: so she stresses how much men learning to love could help things
Riddle Sideways: your observations of SL and PaB
Riddle Sideways: how men can experience
Riddle Sideways: emprisioned males can expand
Adams Rubble: yes, in SL we have ways to bridge boundaries
Adams Rubble: do not need to be oppressed
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: bell hooks often discusses how so many women have bought into the patriarchy although we know that
Riddle Sideways: much do to with "Tradition"
Adams Rubble: yes and thus comfort
Riddle Sideways: and men with tradition and comfort
Adams Rubble: the women of so many single parent homes often teach the patriarchy to their children without having the male example to show how oppressive it is
Riddle Sideways: a cousin(in-law) made a long documentary about it and his father-son relationships
Adams Rubble: so their childen grow up believing in it entirely
Riddle Sideways: that is strange how that can be taught
    Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: and carried on without example, proof and logic
Adams Rubble: it would not exist if not taught
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: this is such a rich topic
    Riddle Sideways: bye dear
Adams Rubble: yes and very important

Mindlessly I move the deer back to my inventory

Adams Rubble: the deer got tired of frolicking :)
Adams Rubble: went home to sleep it off
Riddle Sideways: so have the ones outside
Riddle Sideways: no where in sight
    Adams Rubble waves

    Back to Patriarchy

Riddle Sideways: have many friends in the "Men's movement"
Riddle Sideways: starting several years ago
    Adams Rubble: please say more
Riddle Sideways: (ha, got a name right) remembering Robert Bly type movements
Riddle Sideways: some taking back and mostly starting up new definations of what it is/should be to be Male
Riddle Sideways: in a society that has to be moved
Riddle Sideways: the knowing/awaking/realizing how much 'shit heads' men have been
Riddle Sideways: and how the Few white rich Males have wronged development
Riddle Sideways: a new little boy has to be taught to stand up like a Man
    Riddle Sideways: we call B.S.
Riddle Sideways: whoops, that is somebody elses slogan
Adams Rubble: we do lots of gender assigning from the beginning
    Riddle Sideways: so much
Adams Rubble: and then there is peer pressure
    Riddle Sideways: lately labeled bullying
    Adams Rubble: hmmm
Adams Rubble: it is subtle but they are different; peer pressure can include bullying
Riddle Sideways: even up to the death threats over not joining the local Gang
Adams Rubble: well there is that too
Riddle Sideways: down to the difficultly to not have a boy turn a stick into a gun
Adams Rubble: or a girl to turn a stick into a doll :)
Riddle Sideways: One songwriter said "The Times they are a'changin"
Riddle Sideways: but, not fast enough
    Riddle Sideways: or far enough
    --BELL--

The Current National Situation Creeps back in

Riddle Sideways: waiting for the Star Trek future of equality
Riddle Sideways: waiting for the Great AI to eliminate the illogical humans
    Riddle Sideways: Waiting for Godot
Riddle Sideways: it will all be better when "He" gets here
    Riddle Sideways: :}
Adams Rubble: I have some optimism. Change does not have to happen all at once. First we need to stop the drift backwards our country is experiencing
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, remember saying that in the 60's
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: look how different things look two years ago
Riddle Sideways: thinking if this typist thpes negitive text, you will positive spin it... thank you for that
Riddle Sideways: 27 republicians ... one of them must be right
Adams Rubble: some of them far right
    Adams Rubble giggles
Riddle Sideways: yep. thought that upon rereading

Back to the Patriarchy which has remained in the back of our minds along with Riddle's recent errand of mercy

Riddle Sideways: even if the book is not group read/discussed, we probably have years of discussion material
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I bought another book by bell hooks last night to add to my piles
Riddle Sideways: that 4 feet of mud looked so donting
Adams Rubble: It is called All About Love: New Visions
Riddle Sideways: but, shovel by shovel
Adams Rubble: spell check offers daunting
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: have bell hooks google on a today's tab
Riddle Sideways: ready for a to do
Adams Rubble: interesting information in her Wikipedia article
Adams Rubble: that's how I go to All About Love
    Riddle Sideways: oh good
Adams Rubble: so nice that you gave your time and labor to do that dirty job
Adams Rubble: would have been very daunting to the owners by themselves
Riddle Sideways: so nice, but not doing it for pat on back
Riddle Sideways: lady came by to say thanks. burst into tears
Riddle Sideways: Brian handed her a plastic bag of found personal letters
Adams Rubble: when someone says how nice it is, they are saying I should be out there doing things for people. Thank God you are :)
Riddle Sideways: Brian runs a wide open church on the beach here for homeless and chalenged people
Riddle Sideways: about 40 years of saying 'that should be me"
Adams Rubble: so much to do these days
Riddle Sideways: there is a little time to make it up
Adams Rubble: that's what Scrooge said :)
    --BELL--
    Adams Rubble: after an epiphany
Riddle Sideways: have to build a web site for them today
Riddle Sideways: and recruit designers, writers, ideas
Adams Rubble: oh my, look at the time
    Riddle Sideways: hahahha
Adams Rubble: I need to go rest after my "ordeal" this morning
Adams Rubble: I hope you have a very nice day
Riddle Sideways: it is not too late
Riddle Sideways: hope your's is a great day
Adams Rubble: one day but not now :)
Adams Rubble: see you tomorrow :)
Adams Rubble: I've got this log
    Adams Rubble: whoops
Riddle Sideways: see you and thank you Eden/Adams
Adams Rubble: bye for now :)
