Riddle Sideways: nice spider
Riddle was referring to a spider on his cusshion left by Aphrodite
Riddle Sideways: good morning, Adams
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
Adams Rubble: I had not noticed it
I noted All Saints Day and found from Riddle's questions that I did not know all that much about it (but I did not let on)
Adams Rubble: It is All Saints Day in some circles
Riddle Sideways: thought that was yesterday?
Adams Rubble: Halloween is the day before
Adams Rubble: hallow eve
Riddle Sideways: ah
Riddle Sideways: how is it celebrated?
Adams Rubble: It is a holy day for Catholics and they go to mass
Adams Rubble: for Protestants it is mostly not noticed on the day but noticed the following Sunday
Riddle Sideways: a special mass? with something different?
Adams Rubble: Art Historians think of great paintings :)
Riddle Sideways: great
Adams Rubble: there is a hymn called "For All the Saints" that is nice
Riddle Sideways: Oh when all the saints, come marching in
Adams Rubble: no no
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: hold on
Riddle Sideways: can feel a link coming
Adams Rubble: hehe
Adams Rubble: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OaBgaMcOvM
Riddle Sideways: thanks, but sure this computer will stay in viewer while going to that link
Riddle Sideways: remembers Eden not being able to, either
Adams Rubble: OK, let's move on
Riddle Sideways: how many Saints are there?
Adams Rubble: did you have more thoughts from Tuesday?
Adams Rubble: good question
Adams Rubble: depends whose counting
Adams Rubble: who is
Adams Rubble: Roman Catholics and Orthodox Catholics have different groups of important saints
Adams Rubble: overlap
Riddle Sideways: so, the usual differences
Adams Rubble knows mostly about Saints from art history
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: how are you doing today?
We move on to last Tuesday's discussion of the Eleven people killed in the synagogue in Pitsburgh
Riddle Sideways: Tuesday session helped get over a lot of it, thanks
Adams Rubble: ohh, good. I was afraid I was not understanding all that you were feeling
Riddle Sideways: then that night went to a meeting at our Synagogue of the whole community
Riddle Sideways: turned out to be far more than our building can hold
Riddle Sideways: brought out all the chairs available
Riddle Sideways: and still a hundred were standing
Adams Rubble: wow
Riddle Sideways: aisles that should have been fire exit lanes were blocked up with people
Riddle Sideways: all the community religions and organisations were there
Riddle Sideways: some good songs were sung
Riddle Sideways: some strong words were said
Riddle Sideways: some prays for peace, love and good will were said
Riddle Sideways: 11 candles were lit
Riddle Sideways: by representatives of all those groups
Riddle Sideways: funny, now thinking, that almost all were short
Riddle Sideways: except the Diocese lady 6'4 and the Moslem guy 6'7
Riddle Sideways: it was so good for so many to see each other there
Riddle Sideways: to unite
Adams Rubble: we need to be together
Riddle Sideways: singing a Holly Near song
Riddle Sideways: "We are gentle angry peopl;e"
Riddle Sideways: singing singing for our lives
Riddle Sideways: found link on laptop, but can't paste
Riddle Sideways: an exercise left to the reader ㋡
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: our friend Margret the Cantor from the next town over sang the most beautiful Phsym 23
Adams Rubble: :)
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: ok Psalm
Adams Rubble: got it
Riddle Sideways: the list of the 11 names were read slowly 3 different times, so all got to relate a Name of a person to a killing
Adams Rubble: like the lynchings, it is important to remember the humanity fo these shooting victoms and not just add them them to the grim statistics
Riddle Sideways: when each candle was lit, that leader would read a bio of that person
Riddle Sideways: yes, like the lynching of a person, not just a body
Riddle Sideways: yet, they were shot because they were a body
Riddle Sideways: there, then
Riddle Sideways: to learn of the one brother, "He worked at Good Will and was several times awarded they best worker"
Riddle Sideways: So, No. not over it
Riddle Sideways: still mad, upset, sad
Riddle Sideways: and going to stay that way
Riddle Sideways: and probably go tell lots of others too
Riddle Sideways: shall become a pain to listen to
Riddle Sideways: on a subject that might not be ready for reporting (the editor can review)
Riddle Sideways: Saw a preview of a new art gallery being built
Riddle Sideways: by San, in the sky near Bleu's
Riddle Sideways: gallery
Adams Rubble: Ohh, San told me about that--said i should check it out
Riddle Sideways: good
Adams Rubble: I haven't gotten there
Riddle Sideways: has chairs and tables to sit around with coffee and art
Riddle Sideways: blank walls right now
Riddle Sideways: drifted off into thoughts of nothing
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: yes, me too
Adams Rubble: some things are overwhelming
Riddle Sideways: deep study of a wall that has no art up yet
Riddle Sideways: the potential
Riddle Sideways: so overwhelmed
Adams Rubble knows about that
Adams Rubble: the little seed that sprouts into an exhibtion ida and then slowly transforms
Adams Rubble: idea
Adams Rubble: some grow and some wither by the roadside
Riddle Sideways: Also, a last straw that gets a community moving
Riddle Sideways: talking
Adams Rubble: voting?
Riddle Sideways: that is written, Voting!
Adams Rubble: next Thursday we will know if the American people have had enough
Riddle Sideways: had thought that registration for voting was closed
Adams Rubble: each state different
Riddle Sideways: but learned that a person can walk into a voting place and register right then
Adams Rubble: North Dakota has not registration
Riddle Sideways: and their vote will sit there until the registration goes through
Riddle Sideways: what?
Riddle Sideways: had not heard about N.D.
Adams Rubble: it has no registration--people show up and present their credentials
Adams Rubble: it is one of the issues with the republixans trying to suppress the native americans
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, that could get iffy
Riddle Sideways: a P.O. box is not a residence
Adams Rubble: yes, the republican legistalture passed a law that says no PO boxes but there is a US law that sayd that is what Native SAmericans get
Adams Rubble: eaxh state has its own battles
Adams Rubble: this morning I was listening to the issues of the West Virginia Congressional candidate
Riddle Sideways: ND allows an ID issued by a tribal government. according to DMV.org
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: Richard Ojeda who is a Democrat running against corruption -- disagree with so many of his ideas but they are thought provoking
Adams Rubble: Democrats need to better understand local issues
Adams Rubble: so far for us all to come otgether
Riddle Sideways: what state has the secretary of state controling the voter rules and is running for governer?
Adams Rubble: Georgia
Riddle Sideways: thanks
Adams Rubble: it is worth looking into Richard Ojeda
Riddle Sideways: quick reads, he seems good
Adams Rubble: he certainly is interested in the little guy
Riddle Sideways: well, not so little
Adams Rubble: I am afraid I must get going. I hope you have a good weekend and a good experience next Tuesday
Adams Rubble: by next Thursday we will know
Riddle Sideways: hope you had a great week
Riddle Sideways: hope things change
Adams Rubble: I will be stressed until Tuesday
Riddle Sideways: *have
Adams Rubble: yes, let's hope for some sanity
Adams Rubble: if this is not stopped we are going to go through this circus again and again
Adams Rubble: bye for now :)
