    NOT CRAZY ABOUT POLAR VORTEXES

Eden Haiku: Good morning Riddle, what a great skater you are!
Eden Haiku: Good morning Adams :)
    Riddle Sideways: morning All
Adams Rubble: Good morning Eden and Riddle :)
Adams Rubble: I can tell it is cold in Edenland
Eden Haiku: So cold here... I'm wearing two sweaters and sitting on a blanket...
Riddle Sideways: has the heavy coat on
Adams Rubble is not crazy about polar vortexes

    --BELL--

Adams Rubble: That's a lovely outfit Eden
Eden Haiku: The appartment is easy to warm up except in this room where we had the heating fixed with a new heater. ( Not as good as they used to be ...)
Eden Haiku: Polar cortexes aren't funny, I agree Adams :)[Leaving the typo;)]
Riddle Sideways: ah, the new more efficient model that does not heat the place
    Eden Haiku: Exactly!
Adams Rubble: bummer about the hearter
Riddle Sideways: uses less gas/electric because it does not do the job
Eden Haiku: It's electric as in every room but this one doesn't diffuse the heat.
Eden Haiku: In France they have these washing machines very eco-friendly. It takes 6 hours to make a wash!!!
Adams Rubble: would a fan help to spread the hear?
    Adams Rubble: wow 6 hours
Adams Rubble: it only takes an hour to get clothes dirty
Eden Haiku: Did a lot of hand washing...
Eden Haiku: a fan would feel chilly I'm afraid...
Adams Rubble takes my washer with me[A washing machine had appeared!]
Eden Haiku: But enough on that. How are you doing? Doing your laundry Adams?
Riddle Sideways: good to have a portable washer with you at all times ㋡
Eden Haiku: During the session. Good multi-tasker!

    MARTIN LUTHER KING BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Adams Rubble: Today is the celebration of Martin Luther King's birthday
Adams Rubble: we have a big event tonight
Riddle Sideways: yes! going to a walk today
Eden Haiku: Reminds me when I was in a feminist publishing house many many years ago. They decided we were going to buy a washing machine and a dryer in order to do our laundry while having meetings. I left not long after that. Hated the idea...
    Eden Haiku: Good morning ((Eliza)).
Adams Rubble: the soap bubbles are getting in my eyes
    Eliza Madrigal: Morning (((Eden)))) (((everyone))))
Adams Rubble: Good morning Eliza :)
Riddle Sideways: Hey Eliza, any dirty cloths?\
Eliza Madrigal smiling, thinking "what on earth..."
    Riddle Sideways:multi-tasking
Eliza Madrigal: wow, how'd no one think of this sooner
Adams Rubbletakes my washing machine wherever I go
Eden Haiku: yes,  Martin Luther King celebration. Heard T**** is following his steps...
    Eden Haiku: laughs
    Eliza Madrigal: sigh
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Is the MLK celebration also a march in your area Adams?
Adams Rubble: it is a program at the high school
Adams Rubble: it is very well done
    Riddle Sideways: good, stay inside
    Eliza Madrigal: nice
Eden Haiku: Better celebrating inside during a polar cortex :[Again the same typo?]
Adams Rubble: have to go over to help set it up--hoping the school will be ublocked when we get there
    Eden Haiku: *vortex
    Adams Rubble: unlocked
    Adams Rubble: and unblocked
Riddle Sideways: like to think about cortex
    Eliza Madrigal:
    unlocking the polar cortex...
Eden Haiku: Many schools closed here...
Adams Rubble: schools are closed here
    Riddle Sideways: school holiday here
Eden Haiku: Unlocking the polar cortex: yes Eliza, a great title for our session.
Eden Haiku: So how do we do that?
Eden Haiku: My mind is frozen...
Adams Rubble: we do a march with signs telling it to go back to the north pole
Riddle Sideways: have to think up a large key
Eden Haiku: A large virtual key?
Eden Haiku: That's funny Adams :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Adams Rubble: warm breezes from California YES!, winds from the north NO!
    Eden Haiku: Right!!!
Eliza Madrigal: I'm sorry, but please realize when you all are suffering is the only time we down here are refreshed :)
Eden Haiku: And sun from Florida! Yesss!!!!
    Adams Rubble giggle
    Adams Rubble: s
    Eden Haiku: giggles
Eden Haiku: Is it still sunny Eliza, but cool?
Eliza Madrigal: nice and cold today, for our standards
    Eden Haiku: How cold?
Eliza Madrigal: sooo cold last night standing outside trying to take photos of the moon

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: right now it is probably around 57* F
    Eden Haiku: Oh!
Eliza Madrigal: Have been out in it all morning, happy as can be
Adams Rubble: so cold here no one wanted to go outside to take pictures of the moon
Riddle Sideways: raining here, so too cloudy to see moon
    Adams Rubble: very windy
Eden Haiku: Minus one here :(
    Eliza Madrigal: but so beautiful
Eden Haiku: Happy for you Eliza :)
    Riddle Sideways: -1 C or F?
Eliza Madrigal: Well, I meant the snow is beautiful :) But, mhm, beautiful here right now too
    Eden Haiku: That's F. In C it's minus 19
Adams Rubble: we may be up to 7 F here now
Adams Rubble: the sun is shining
    Adams Rubble: but still windy
    Eliza Madrigal: >shivers<
Eden Haiku: Still a bit snowing here. Lots of snow yesterday. Couldn't see the moon yesterday night, too cloudy., The wolf moon.
Riddle Sideways: 43F and raining here
Eden Haiku: Yes, lots of rain in California after the drought and the fires...
Adams Rubble: we were lucky and missed the snow. it was warm during the storm and then the bottom dropped out of the thermometers
Eden Haiku: what a nice way to describe the sensation :)
Riddle Sideways: funny how even the red mercury in thermometers does not want to come out in the cold
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Eden Haiku: ;)
Riddle Sideways: the nice new road they finished building in Big Sur is closed
Eden Haiku: Saw an interesting little scene from my window a bit earlier.
Eden Haiku: This man was trying to drive his car out of a huge snowbank.
Eden Haiku: A passerby, a tiny woman, offered to push the car.
Eden Haiku: And she did, for 10 minutes at least.
Eden Haiku: Putting her scarf on her mouth so not to inhale.
Eden Haiku: A great show of solidarity in extreme weather :)
Eden Haiku: I almost joined them, but was still in my jammies...
    Adams Rubble: wow
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: harsh conditions bringing out the best
    Eden Haiku: And she succeeded!
    Riddle Sideways: yes
    Riddle Sideways: Super hero
    Eliza Madrigal: yay
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Unlocking the polar cortex... Looking up for the virtual large key ;)

Eden Haiku:Heard some of you visited Xiri exhibit?
Riddle Sideways: yes, really nice winter painting
    Adams Rubble: yes
Eden Haiku: Would love to see. Would you have a LM?
Eliza Madrigal: yes :) The last one I bought a few giant paintings, which are in my skybox now. I'm so drawn to her dark paintings
Eden Haiku: Thank you for the LM dear Adams :)
Eliza Madrigal: Tura is visiting Dresden and we were wondering if the build is still up in SL last week...
    Adams Rubble: no
Eliza Madrigal: seems there is a group but no site anymore...
    Adams Rubble: long time gone
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah, thought so
Adams Rubble: I visited just before it closed
Eden Haiku: What was the build? Dresden?
    Adams Rubble: the old gemaldegaleries
    Eden Haiku: Ah!
    Adams Rubble: Old Masters
    Eden Haiku: Tks
Adams Rubble: the entire museum was there
    Eden Haiku: Wow!
Adams Rubble: could go from room to room, floor to floor
Adams Rubble: like having a membership
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eden Haiku: :)
Adams Rubble: could go again and again for free
Adams Rubble: run up the stairs

    --BELL--

Adams Rubble: fly around the galleries
Eden Haiku: Had that when living in Amsterdam. For the Rijksmuseum and all museums in the Neterhlands. Went to the Rijks for just a few minutes sometimes, it was wonderful.
    Eliza Madrigal: ty Adams!
Eden Haiku: Ty for the Dresden gallery shirt Adams :)
Eden Haiku:Couldn’t fly through the Rijks though :(
Eliza Madrigal: Must have been wonderful, Eden!
Riddle Sideways: did you try, Eden?
    Eliza Madrigal grins
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, I was living nearby so I could go see the Night Watch or a doll house just passing by...
Eden Haiku: Should have Riddle, that would have unlock my polar cortex :)))

starchaserni Resident: 's current display-name is "Lee".
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Lee
    Eden Haiku: Welcome Lee :)
    starchaserni Resident: Hello :)
    Riddle Sideways: hi, Lee
    starchaserni Resident: Hello all :)
    Adams Rubble: Hello lee :)
Eden Haiku: have you been here before Lee?
starchaserni Resident: No I haven't, it's my first time
Eden Haiku: let me hand you a notecard about our group :)
    starchaserni Resident: Sure :)
Riddle Sideways: can't find the current notecard in this mess inventory
Eliza Madrigal: think the last one is labeled 2016?
Eliza Madrigal: group founded by a starchaser, one might say :)
Riddle Sideways: ha, found a dirty PaB 2016 T-shirt
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eliza Madrigal:time to get the washer out again
Eden Haiku:We are exploring "the nature of reality " :)
Eden Haiku:In many different ways :)
starchaserni Resident: Alright, sounds interesting heh
Riddle Sideways: we record our chats and publish on a Wiki
Eden Haiku: Lee, we do record our conversations and the logs are posted on a wiki. Would you agree to be recorded? If not, I can edit your remarks out from the log.
    Eden Haiku: snap Riddle :)
starchaserni Resident: Yeah sure, I don't mind
    Eden Haiku: Thank you Lee.
starchaserni Resident: Not at all :)
Eden Haiku: May I ask how you find out about Play as Being?
Riddle Sideways: Today's nature of reality is tooo cold to think
starchaserni Resident: I didn't really, Eliza just invited me heh
Eliza Madrigal: I think we met at Club Assessible, dancing?
starchaserni Resident: Sounds about right :) Well, I probably wasn't doing much dancing heh
Eliza Madrigal: they had these really fun line dances
    Eden Haiku: Oh! Wonderful!
Eliza Madrigal: dancing takes all kinds of forms too :)
Eliza Madrigal: like ways of exploring the nature of reality perhaps
Riddle Sideways: been years since doing that
Eliza Madrigal: brb am going to open a window to let the cool air in
    Adams Rubble: :)
starchaserni Resident: Oh that would be nice heh
Adams Rubble checks to make sure the windows are closed tight
Eden Haiku: Lucky Eliza, to live in a climate where you can have "cool" air and not freezing your brains out...
Eliza Madrigal: It really is gorgeous here, but will be hot by 2pm
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Adams Rubble: there is no mosquito problem here right now
Eden Haiku: Oh, I see, so you take adavantage of the morning to cool the house :)
starchaserni Resident: And I'll be sticking to my chair if it gets too hot, darn leather lolà

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: No mosquitoes here either, Let us be grateful for that :))
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: brb
Eliza Madrigal: I read somewhere that people were a bit worried there were so few mosquitos terrorizing everyone this past year
Eliza Madrigal: they are another indicator, like bees, of a thriving ecological system
Eliza Madrigal: even though so annoying
Eden Haiku: That might be a problem yes Eliza. Biodiversity balance is at stake...
Eliza Madrigal: and dangerous in some ways
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eliza Madrigal: How is the book you've been reading, on collapse? Did 'presence' help?
Eden Haiku: Heard an ecologist say there won't be any problem for the planet. The Earth will adapt. It's humans who won't survive...
    Adams Rubble: back
    Eliza Madrigal: wb :)
Adams Rubble: there were tons of mosquiotoes here last summer
Adams Rubble: the wind is howling outside
    Adams Rubble: brrrr
    Eliza Madrigal: Whoooshhh
Riddle Sideways: yep, Earth will get better once humans are gone
    Adams Rubble:polar vortex moving south
Eden Haiku: Presence helped yes. Then joy. This week it's "gratefullness. Still only on chapter 3. Had a few friends’ books to read this week...
Eliza Madrigal: The Earth itself I suppose has problems on a different time scale to worry about :)
    Eden Haiku: Yep!
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah, gratefulness :)

     SO ENERGIZED AND HAPPY

    Jan 21_003.jpg

Eden,Riddle, Adams, Eliza and starchaserni Resident

Eden Haiku: Also used an herbal remedy which is excellent against anxiety. Had some insomnia and anguish around the wolf moon and remembered that remedy I took a while ago. It's called "motherwort", I use the extract in liquid form. It's like being in your mother's arms as an infant. Very soothing.
Eliza Madrigal: Ooh, how nice. Sorry to hear you had anxiety though :(
Eden Haiku: Just 20 drops before going to bed and I slept like a baby :)
Eden Haiku: It happens a lot around full moon for me :)
Eliza Madrigal: making note :) I recently began using magnesium oil for restless legs, which helped similarly... recommended by the PT
    Eden Haiku: ah yes!
Eliza Madrigal:Moon seems to affect me opposite. For the first time in a long time, I did some of my neglected buddhist rituals last night.. have neglected them
Eden Haiku: oh, how nice Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal:felt so energized and happy
Eliza Madrigal: or maybe it was the weather too!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: A lot of factors maybe :)
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed
Eden Haiku: Wondering how it is when you are disabled? Do you have anxieties Lee?
Eden Haiku: I guess you do. I mean, do you worry about your health?
starchaserni Resident: Yes, I do. I try not to of course, and I've had my issue for a long time now, so I guess it's become more normal for me, but I do still have anxieties, and not just about my health directly
Eliza Madrigal: hard to be thoughtful and not have bouts with anxiety
Eden Haiku: Yes, the state of the world is always a source of discomfort for most of us...
Riddle Sideways: and living with anxiety with the current pres
Eden Haiku: yes Riddle, that too...

    --BELL--

Adams Rubble: Thank you all for you presence. I must go. Busy day ahead :)
Eliza Madrigal: Have a great day Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Thanks to you Adams. have a great day!
    Riddle Sideways: stay warm Adams
Adams Rubble: stay warm eden and stay cool Eliza and stay...with whatever comes you way there Riddle :)
Eliza Madrigal: I was thinking this morning that, although I relate when others talk about depression,I never say that I 'am' depressed. It is like, something like depression is always there, along with lots of other things too. I realized I don't^.^
Adams Rubble: nice to meet you Lee :)
    Riddle Sideways: ha
    starchaserni Resident: You too! :)
Eliza Madrigal: oops, two windows together there
Eliza Madrigal:meant to just say ^.^ to Adams
Eliza Madrigal: ... differentiate my emotions very well. Things are just all there most of the time
Eden Haiku: I see what you mean Eliza. But you noticed you were energized and happy yesterday!
    Eliza Madrigal: definitely
Eliza Madrigal: it is like it came to the forefront and took no effort
Eden Haiku: Ah, the magic of life sometimes :))
Eliza Madrigal: so how to keep these weather conditions and moon in place... haha
Eden Haiku: Emotions are like the weather: we cannot command them...
    Eliza Madrigal nods, very true
Eden Haiku: They come and go and we have to let them be...
Eden Haiku: Like rain and wind and polar vortexes and lots of snow...
Eliza Madrigal: the snow that brings the quiet, but also the whooshing
Eden Haiku: If we unlock our polar cortex, we see that all is perfect...
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: hot key
Riddle Sideways:to see Earth as an organism with a cortex
Eliza Madrigal: Wasn't thatMaxine's phrase.. "soothing cortex" ? Just loved that
Eden Haiku: Though practising some Buddhist rituals and gratefulness and breathing fresh air and exercising and taking some herbal medecine when it’s too much. Because, sometimes, we need a break :))
    Eliza Madrigal: Amen :)
Eden Haiku: "soothing cortex", yes, lovely :)
Eliza Madrigal: There are a lot of these help aids in PT... like now, weighted blankets and eye masks
Eliza Madrigal: seem to aim at stillness and security
Eden Haiku: Oh, weighted blankets, never tried that...
Eliza Madrigal: they seem to help a lot of people
Eden Haiku: Must be soothing yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: next thing to being snuggled maybe :)

    CATS AND KNEAZLES

Riddle Sideways: hmmm, weighted blankets, like a 15lb cat ?
    Eliza Madrigal: haha
Eliza Madrigal: you have a weighted cat face mask
Riddle Sideways: face cat is small 10 pounder
Eden Haiku: A 15 pounds cat must be very very soothing.especially a purring cat :)Lucky Riddle!
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Eliza Madrigal: you just need to find what soothes cat, then both can relax
    Eden Haiku: :)
Riddle Sideways: not good at putting in the effort at 2am to find what Needs she has now
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Eden Haiku: Oh! she wakes you up at oddly hours? She's an old cat?
    Riddle Sideways: not so old,
    Riddle Sideways: just crazy
    Eden Haiku: oh, just fussy...
Eliza Madrigal: crazy before her time
    Eden Haiku: and crazy :)
    Riddle Sideways: fuzzy
    Eden Haiku: furry
    Eden Haiku: A furry Fury!
    Eliza Madrigal: !
Eliza Madrigal: maybeshe is a kanizle (sp?) the creatures in Harry Potter that aren't really cats
Eden Haiku: Oh! Eliza, you are playing now???
Eliza Madrigal: No :( phone is still too old
Eliza Madrigal: I just remember all the books so well from reading with daughters
Eden Haiku: I want a kanzle yes! But they cost a lot of notebooks!
    Eliza Madrigal: Oooh
Eden Haiku: Oh, I don't remember the kanzles from the books :(
Eliza Madrigal: for the first few books, Hermione thought she had a cat

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: And then she realized it was a kanzle?
    Eliza Madrigal:half Kneazle
Eliza Madrigal: (looked up the spelling) ^.^
Eden Haiku: Was trying to look it up, thanks Eliza :)
    Eliza Madrigal: https://www.pottermore.com/explore-the-story/crookshanks

THE FOUR OF US ARE HARRY POTTER FANS!

Eden Haiku: Are you also Harry Potter's fans Eliza and Lee?
Riddle Sideways:ha, just looked up speeling too
Eden Haiku: Thank you Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: "Highly intelligent and perceptive, recognises others for what they truly are" description on the page
    Eden Haiku:loves Riddle's speeling skills :))
Eden Haiku: I meant Riddle and Lee? Potter's fans? Are you?
Riddle Sideways: read them all to son years ago
starchaserni Resident: I am, definitely :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: had our own pernounceations
Riddle Sideways: the movies said words differently
    Eliza Madrigal: yes!
    Eden Haiku: Wonderful!
Eden Haiku: Yes, is the way the movies pronounce "Hermione" the same way as you do?
    Riddle Sideways: no!!!
    Eliza Madrigal: nor us
Eden Haiku: What I love the most in all the Potter books is the Patronus :)
Riddle Sideways: ha! you loved the deer
Eden Haiku: And the notion of being Dementors out there. Because THERE ARE!
    Eliza Madrigal nodding thoughtfully
    Eden Haiku: Yes Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: and, if you did something bad, mother would send a Howler letter
Eliza Madrigal: Patronus must be a wonderful notion for kids to have in minds
Eden Haiku: You can feel the cold when Dementors are around even in hot summer day ...
    Eliza Madrigal: very true...
Eliza Madrigal:and I like the cure, too :)
Eden Haiku: The Howler letters yes!!!
    Eden Haiku: The cure?
    Eliza Madrigal: chocolate :)
    Eden Haiku: Chocolate yes!
Eden Haiku: I like the cure too :))
Eliza Madrigal: It really is amazing how much she managed to show in those books
    Eden Haiku: Such depth yes...
Eliza Madrigal: there are many books with magical ideas, but usually not so many and so perfectly named
Eden Haiku: Will tweet her we had this conversation and 4 on 4 people here were fans of her work :))
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: Books are part of the "nature of reality".They can bridge worlds!
Eden Haiku: What is your favorite part, character, plot in Harry Potter Lee?
Riddle Sideways: so many young readers going off into the magical worlds
starchaserni Resident: Well my favourite book is probably the 6th one
Eliza Madrigal: Is that the Half Blood Prince?
    starchaserni Resident: Yes :)
starchaserni Resident: Dumbledore is my favourite character
    Eliza Madrigal: ah :)
Eden Haiku: ah yes, that's so interesting this notion of half-blood :)
Riddle Sideways: favorite character would be a nearly impossible to answer question
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eden Haiku: loves Dumbledore too. My favorite is Hermione though. So much drive, like most girls. When she takes two classes at the same time. Reminds me of Eliza :))
Eliza Madrigal: the dynamics between characters...Harry/Snape dynamic in that one
Eliza Madrigal: Aw, that's a high compliment Eden :)
    Eden Haiku: :))
Eden Haiku: And the romantic interests...
Eden Haiku: When she goes to the ball with Viktor...
    Riddle Sideways: the teenage angst
    Riddle Sideways:the 'nobody understands me'
Eden Haiku: Heard this funny story. Cuaron asked the children to write about their characters when he was filming Azkaban. She wrote 16 pages!
Eliza Madrigal: oh yes... the sensitivity...
    Eliza Madrigal: !
Eden Haiku: Daniel Radcliffe wrote one page.
Eden Haiku: And the guy palying Ron wrote none :))

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eliza Madrigal: so, sort of fitting
Eliza Madrigal: did they write 'as' their characters?
    Eden Haiku: Very fitting yes!
Eden Haiku: No, he asked them as actors I think :)
    Eliza Madrigal: wonderful idea
Eden Haiku: They were carefully chosen it seems :)
Eden Haiku: My polar cortex feels warmer :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yay :D
    Riddle Sideways: good
Eden Haiku: Took off one of the sweaters :)
Riddle Sideways: see a small patch of blue sky
Eliza Madrigal: should probably have lit a fire inside the lotus
Riddle Sideways: the fire at the dream site is great
Eden Haiku: patch of blue sky :)
    Riddle Sideways: but, burns down
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: intense fire, that one
Eden Haiku: Meant to go back to the dream session but so many things to do, so little time, You know the song :((
Riddle Sideways: so much to do, so little time
Eliza Madrigal: Of course, of course
Eliza Madrigal: That's always been the amazing thing about PaB...
    Riddle Sideways: like today
Eden Haiku: Off course sometimes too of course...
Eliza Madrigal: that one can attend differently, reading sometimes, being there sometimes
Riddle Sideways: can't say bye and get started
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Same here Riddle :)
Eliza Madrigal: I've been writing and rewriting to figure out balances
Eliza Madrigal: time turners only can be used for short periods of time :)
