    Eden Haiku: Goode morning Riddle!!!

    Riddle Sideways: Good Morning, Eden.

Riddle Sideways: big beautiful spring gown

Riddle Sideways: Happy April Fool's day

Eden Haiku: Thank you!Happy Play as Being 11th anniversary!

    Riddle Sideways: YES!

Eden Haiku: Love your new hair.

    Eden Haiku: Dread locks?

    Riddle Sideways: thanks

    Eden Haiku: Hello Adams!

    Riddle Sideways: trying it

    Riddle Sideways: Howdee flying Adams

Eden Haiku: In pink for Spring Adams

Adams Rubble: Hello Riddle and Eden :)

Eden Haiku: Happy PaB 11th anniversary!

Riddle Sideways: Darn, have no pink Hawaiian shirt

Eden Haiku: That's ok Riddle, your new hair is already festive :)

    Riddle Sideways:

Eden Haiku: The sun shines on Apri Fool's Day and I already got my first fish tied on my back :)

Riddle Sideways: noting that Profile states 11 years 4 months. What was this av doing in those 4 months?

Eden Haiku: Learnig to walk I guess Riddle or flying over desert regions?

Riddle Sideways: ?fish tied on back?

Adams Rubble: ohhh, I am older than you Riddle and I did not find PaB until June

Eden Haiku: Yes, it's a practice from childhood here. On April Fool's Day.

Riddle Sideways: can't remember anything before PaB

Adams Rubble: a fish tied to one's back?

    Adams Rubble: whoops brb

Riddle Sideways: was very hard to walk then

Eden Haiku: School children would tie a colored fish (homemade) in the back of the teacher's clothes and the whole class would laugh when she turned towards the backboard :)

    Riddle Sideways: great

Eden Haiku: It's  a paper fish  I had on my back this morning :)

Riddle Sideways: who put that there?

Eden Haiku: You don't celebrate the first day of April like that in US?

Riddle Sideways: wondering if it was a real fish in the olde days

    Riddle Sideways: no traditional pranks

Eden Haiku: My companion did, as he was bringing breakfast. But I noticed

Riddle Sideways: have to think them up new each year

Riddle Sideways: oh, was not suppose to have noticed

Eden Haiku: I loved drawing fishes when I was a little girl :)

Eden Haiku: Maybe I could draw on

Eden Haiku: Maybe I could draw a colorful one and stick it to the door of our downstairs neighbor :)

Eden Haiku: As a kind of white flag on our ongoing war :)

    Riddle Sideways: ah

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: smiles at Adams :)

    Riddle Sideways: laughs

    Eden Haiku:A fish lantern!

    Riddle Sideways: fish on back

Eden Haiku: How are you doing Adams?

Adams Rubble: I am getting better

    Eden Haiku: Great news :)))

Eden Haiku: And with Spring in the air, being outdoors will be a delight!

Eden Haiku: How about you Riddle, how are you these days?

Riddle Sideways: back, from Wikipedia reading. "April Fish" is in France, Italy, Belgium and Frech-speaking areas of Switzerland and Canada

Riddle Sideways: the number of aches and pains curtailed the calculation of "how are self" today

Riddle Sideways: was a grand day yesterday to be out doing yard work

Riddle Sideways: 10K steps bending to pick weeds

Eden Haiku: Ah! I didn't know it was an European custom. French bakery shops do have small chocolate fishes somethimes colored gold or silver on Apri Fool's Day.

Adams Rubble: the things one learns in PaB :)

Eden Haiku: Picking weeds for 10 k steps, wow! Congratulations to your back!

Eden Haiku: And we just call the day "April 1st". No fool implied :)

Riddle Sideways: good thing web browser is on other computer, so can not paste all these links

    Riddle Sideways:so many great pranks

    Adams Rubble: :)

    Eden Haiku: :))

Riddle Sideways: will leave it to the gentle readers to surf the April Fish pranks

Eden Haiku: Waving to the gentle readers :)

    Inventions

Riddle Sideways: remembering 2 great magazine articles read as a teen

    Eden Haiku: What about?

Riddle Sideways: inventions. more like projects you could make yourself

Riddle Sideways: one was a little box, add-on to the car radio

Riddle Sideways: that would auto turn it up and down depending on ambient sound levels

Riddle Sideways:soooo wanted to build that

Eden Haiku: Like a zapping tool?

    --BELL--

    Riddle Sideways: an auto-volume adjuster

Eden Haiku: Ah, rather, zapping sound levels :)

Riddle Sideways: think the other was make your own transistors. on a cookie baking sheet. Some sand, some chemicals (of unpronounceable names), bake at 550 for an hour.

Riddle Sideways: years later would realize those were April Fool's joke articles

Eden Haiku: Spent my Sunday at a Non-Violent Communication practice workshop yesterday. Trying to build my communication skills with the same passion you have for building magical objects Riddle :)

    Eden Haiku:Oh no, pranks!

    Adams Rubble: nice Eden

Eden Haiku: An iPhone described then would have seem like a prank though :)

Riddle Sideways: nice, that that is still going

Eden Haiku: Some young guy said he practiced auto-empathy on a daily basis: congratulating himself when he succeeded and forgiving himself when he failed. I liked that :)

Riddle Sideways: yes, that is a good practice

Riddle Sideways: a very hard practice tho

    Adams Rubble: what is auto-empathy?

Eden Haiku: We were twelve parcticioners, a leader and her assistant. Yes, a very hard practice.

Eden Haiku: Some are soooo good at it. It's marvelous.

Eden Haiku: I also learned thas

Eden Haiku: that if requests we make to others should always be opened (meaning we would graciuously accept

     a NO

Eden Haiku: But limits are not-negotiable. What a relief!

Eden Haiku: Auto-empathy is giving yourself lots of tender loving care, breathing deeply, taking time to feel what you feel before talking, to be aware of what your need is at that precise moment.

    Riddle Sideways: extension of gratefulness

Adams Rubble: Interesting. I have been dealing with my own annoyance at people who do not respond top emails when I am trying to get volunteer work done. I guess that is like a no

Adams Rubble: ohhh, empathy for oneself

    --BELL--

    Ghostwriters and Robots

Eden Haiku: In RL we don't have much time to slow things down like that, but in practice, witnessing others do it, it's very impressive. Yes, extension of gratefullness Riddle :) And yes, empathy for oneself Adams. Workshop was in French, so they might use a different vocabulary in English.

    Adams Rubble: oui

Eden Haiku: No response to your top emails are NOS and they are difficult to take Adams?

    Eden Haiku: You feel annoyed?

Eden Haiku: Do you feel annoyed because you would need support in the kind of community work you do?

Adams Rubble: very hard to get things done

Eden Haiku: Are you angry at people not willing to participate?

Adams Rubble: sometimes need answers, sometimes just need an OK, sometimes need help on a small matter

Adams Rubble: I don't want to take this too far. I was trying to understand what you were getting at

Adams Rubble: applying it to my own activities

Eden Haiku: I find the subject interesting Adams. That's the kind of challenge we all meet in our daily lives.

Eden Haiku: Would hyou allow me to ask a few questions about your process?

Riddle Sideways: both internal and external empathy, forgiveness, congratulations, celebrations

Adams Rubble: I am involved in a few different things

Adams Rubble: I think some people decide they are going to give so much to a volunteer project or that a project may be 97th on their to do list

    Eden Haiku: I see...

Eden Haiku: Are you writing the emails yourself?

Riddle Sideways: hard when that same project is 3rd on YOUR list

Adams Rubble: I write all my own emails :)

Adams Rubble: ohhh, lots of young people do not give email much priority :)

Eden Haiku: laughing at what my question implied. :)

Riddle Sideways: yes, was laughing too

Eden Haiku: Wasn't implying you had a ghostwriter for your emails Adams :)

    Adams Rubble: a robot

Riddle Sideways: however, Adams Rubble does. in a way

Adams Rubble: I only allow my robot certain priviledges

    Riddle Sideways: the ghost typist

Eden Haiku: Thought more about some secretary in the group sending emails...

Adams Rubble: I kind of have become secretary in the groups I am involved with

Eden Haiku: Well, if you write the emails yourself maybe you could build in some way to answer quickly, stating that you request some kind of response so you can keep going with the project....

Adams Rubble: If you don't answer you will get a visit from my robot

Adams Rubble: I see your point Eden :)

Eden Haiku: Even if the response is no, then you would know where you stand. Hey hey your robot will be visiting!!!

Eden Haiku: Really hard to fine-tune that kind of request...

Eden Haiku: You want to maintain the connection with the other person/persons more than you want to get what you need :)

    --BELL--

    Labyrinths and AI's Empathy

Adams Rubble: much easier to put together events in SL

    Adams Rubble: :)

Adams Rubble: Riddles lips are moving

Riddle Sideways: and perhaps the assuming that non-answering an email is a disrespect and a No, but could be a computer lost, mis-filtered email robot helping them

Riddle Sideways: have personal experience lately with that

Eden Haiku: Yes Riddle, emails do get lost in cyberspace, especially in the Atlantic ocean between publishers in France and writers in Quebec :)

Riddle Sideways: (forgot having added the bento mouth typer AO)

Eden Haiku: It crossed my mind to send a third email to one of these publishers who didn't yet acknowledged he received the poetry manuscripit I attached to an email in November and again In January with my New Year Wishes :)

Eden Haiku: My companion is telling me that this very nice person in France is very sweet but never answers emails. You see your book when you get there :) But still, I feel

Eden Haiku: I feel it's a pending matter...

Riddle Sideways: hmmm, not reading attachments is yet another added step many miss

Adams Rubble: attachments can be a buissance

Eden Haiku: True. And young people reading only text messages, not emails as Adams said earlier :)

Riddle Sideways: last week, got an email apology for the wrong file attached to an email. All 4 of us on the email had not noticed :(

    Eden Haiku: Oh my!

Adams Rubble: it is a different matter but my health care place has a special page for all its patients to view their info.Instead of putting a message in emails they put it on the site.To get it you have to put in your user name and password. there is a catch. They make me change my email everytime I enter the site. usually this is to read a message that could be put in an email

Eden Haiku: Good idea. If I dare trying again to reach out, I will paste the manuscript into the email (it's only 17 strophes or so, an artist book).

Adams Rubble: to change your password you have to know the former password

Eden Haiku: Ah yes, I encounter that more and more too Adams.

Eden Haiku: It's a labyrinth yes!

Eden Haiku: And so many password to memorize :)

Adams Rubble: so many old passwords to remember :)

    Adams Rubble: :)

    Eden Haiku: snap

    Adams Rubble: sigh

Riddle Sideways: yes, was writing same thoughts

Adams Rubble: the bento mouth typer AO makes it look as if one is talking to themself

Eden Haiku: AI is almost taking over...

    Riddle Sideways: ha

Eden Haiku: Like an old April's Fool on the street Riddle :))

Adams Rubble: AI is the big talking point these days and I am left out of it

Riddle Sideways: in looking up Auto-Empathy. found Artificial Empaty and Empatic AI

Adams Rubble: why is it suddenly all the rage?

Riddle Sideways: however, that is a subject for another day

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Caught some scenes from Odyssey 2001 on TV late at night. Amazing how they didn't age much...And that was before computers...

Adams Rubble: artificial empathy is an oxymoran

Riddle Sideways: thought so too. (both)

Eden Haiku: Or a cormoran maybe?

Eden Haiku: yes Riddle, let's keep some topics for some other session :)

Adams Rubble: When my computer starts to say I am sorry you are feeling bad today. I can feel your pain in the way you are typing today, then I will believe in artificial empathy

    Eden Haiku: sighs

Riddle Sideways: was thinking of 2001 earlier. One guy was eating lunch and reading, typing, watching a flat sheet of paper sized computer. like a Tablet.

    Riddle Sideways: how silly

    Adams Rubble: :)

Eden Haiku: Yes, saw that! A tablet!

Eden Haiku: The dialogue was miserable though. Woluld you like a turkey sandwich? Or ham? In space!!!

    Riddle Sideways: ha

Adams Rubble: thank you both for the conversation and anniversary celebration

Adams Rubble: have a very good fish day

Eden Haiku: Thank you Adams. have a great day!

Riddle Sideways: It was all Foolish stuff, Adams

Riddle Sideways: watch your day, Adams

    Riddle Sideways: by Alll

Adams Rubble: yes, i will be careful :)

    Adams Rubble: bye for now

Eden Haiku: Thank you both for being here. I value so much your company dear friends :)
